Lileks doesn’t often fisk — so when he does, you need to read it.
Well, that certainly puts things in perspective.
Steve, you’re showing your age. Both the ad campaign and the firm that sponsored it are sooooo long gone.
Man, oh man. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the blogosphere so united than in this spectacular beatdown of Clarke.
This may finally be where the mainstream media jumps the shark in the eyes of the general population. Their attempts to prop up and tout Clarke as a noble whistleblower are failing badly, and even their carefully prepared presentation can’t cover up the gaping holes and inconsistencies in Clarke’s story and their own coverage.
This is pretty much going to finish the Democrats and Kerry for 2004. I’m not about to blame Clarke or Clinton or any American for 9/11 (how about blaming the terrorists?), but to elaborate on Lileks’ main idea…Bush is fighting and winning the war, do we really want to go back to the Democratic way?
And then came the light of Monday morning. What?? No live blogging of Condi on 60 Minutes? You could learn that she seems to believe she is constitutionally barred from testifying under oath.
Don’t worry. I’ve got a call in to Poindexter. This changes everything.
Little fun with a find-next search of Lilek’s fisking adventure of…who again?
Clarke — 8 mentions
Bush — 6 mentions
But the big winner is Clinton (again) with 13 big mentions!!
All roads lead to Bubba! The mighty Clenis wins again!
Lileks says AQ is not like the U.S. govt but the U.S govt should be like AQ. Wellllll, at least that’s an original idea. Stupid but original.
