Michelle Ferguson-Cohen (what a great last name!) sent me this nifty graphic.
Like the Peace Through Strength movement of the ’80s, the message of this button is probably too nuanced for the anti-war types to understand.
I agree with you Stephen. I’d be reluctant to sport a peace symbol like this, since the vast majority of people would reach exactly the wrong conclusion about my views.
It’d be kinda like wearing a button with a swastika that said in small print at the bottom: “We must never forget the evil that this symbol represents.” Most people wouldn’t get past the swastika.
As we remember Ron today, lets also remember what he tried to tell us.
