   And I thought it would be the International Criminal Court that would lead the crusade against “international hate crime” – read the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide where “genocide” is said to represent, among other things, “Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group.”

   Hope none of the Euroweeniecrats noticed my old post about the need to abolish autocratic governments, especially in a particular region of the world. Shh, don’t tell anybody.

   Inch by inch these countries are losing their freedom, getting poorer and resort to eating their seed corn.

   To know that they won’t stop inflicting these wounds on themselves, and to wonder what will happen when the cross the threshold from free to unfree: these are probably the best reasons for keeping our martial presence in Europe. The other reasons are sloth and bureaucratic inertia.

   yes, and I delivered my very first blogyell at him in one sentence of an otherwise calm, collected post. That one sentence is:

   “Mr. Blair, if I am about to be assaulted by some thug with a knife and there’s a stray brick within my grasp, that brick will do me a bloody lot more good than any tweak you administer to the rules of evidence, and reinstating double jeopardy only means that I can be tried twice for defending myself!!”

   There, more evidence for the prosecution for my international hate crimes trial.
