Dan Explains It All

Dan Henninger puts things so clearly, so simply, that even an addle-brained Canadian can understand.
The people of the United States should take solace, even pride, in the fact that their views on the violence in the Middle East are completely at odds with the opinions of the United Nations, the continent of Europe and most of their own media.
It only gets better. Check it out.

Steve, please don’t think that all Canadians are so foolish and credulous in their thinking as “Jamese” is. We’re not.
I can speak for most Canadians when I say that we realize that the USA is virtually indistiguishable from Canada in its values and aims. We both pursue human freedom. Canada couldn’t do this without the benifices of the United States. We appreciate you, friends.
P.S. To hell with Saudi Arabia. Did you know that our province of Alberta has three trillion barrels of oil (and that’s just one province.)? Why don’t you deal with us, instead? We can at least buy you a beer (which is not only legal here, but required.)
Jeff — I sure don’t think that of Canadians at all. Just the one. Well, and most of your Government. But Canadians are some of the finest, most decent people I’ve ever met.
You just don’t have leadership worthy of your selves.
Thanks, Stephen.
BTW, I should have written “billion” instead of “trillion”. Still, I think the US should look into dealing w/Canada for oil instead of the more unstable nations. It would have the added benefit of bringing our countries closer together – it would benefit us both. What do you think?
Also, congrats on your marriage. She’s beautiful. Too bad about you. (Just kidding.)
Hmmm,
Jenin, Mos Eisley, ‘a more wretched hive of scum and villainy’, does this mean Arafat is really Jabba the Hut? I really think this Star Wars comparison could have legs. (Mmmm, Princess Leia slave costume)

Wouldn’t the Canadian greenies go nuts over drilling/development in the pristine wilderness?
Ourn greens were a bit off kilter over drilling in a gnat infested Alaskan coastal plain.
