Boston Terror Suspect Originally Plotted to Behead Pamela Geller (Video)

Geller drew national attention last month after an off-duty police officer working security thwarted an attack at her organization’s contest for Prophet Mohammed drawings in Garland, Texas. She’s president of the American Freedom Defense Initiative, which includes subsidiary programs Stop Islamization of America and Stop Islamization of Nations.

“They targeted me for violating Sharia blasphemy laws. They mean to kill everyone who doesn’t do their bidding and abide by their law voluntarily,” Geller told CNN’s Erin Burnett.

“This is a showdown for American freedom. Will we stand against this savagery or bow down to them and silence ourselves?”

CNN’s Erin Burnett interviewed Geller to get her reaction to the report that the Rahim was planning to behead her.

Geller said that she’s had an “army of security” since last month’s thwarted attack.

“This is what is required just to show a cartoon in America, 2015,” she said. “It’s striking. It’s devastating, and people need to understand what’s at stake. I mean, if we surrender on this point, what will we surrender next?”

Burnett made a point of mentioning the fact that Pamela’s group, the American Freedom Defense Initiative, has been designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center as “an active anti-Muslim group.”

“They track hate groups in this country,” Burnett intoned. “They describe you as the *anti-Muslim movement’s most visible and flamboyant figurehead.” Hammering the point home, she repeated, “again, they track HATE groups, they’re putting YOU on that list…”

Then came the big, weaselly buttinsky. “Nothing justifies a beheading or a beheading plot, *but* it’s important to note this. Are you stoking the flames? Do you on some level relish being the target of these attacks?”

Geller let Burnett have it with both barrels.

“Relish being the target?” Geller scoffed. “Who self-promotes to get killed?” She added, “The Southern Poverty Law Center? Really, Erin?! Who designated them the arbiter of anything? They’re an uber-left group. They don’t track jihadist groups — they don’t track  groups that target for slaughter — they track patriots, they track veterans, they track defense groups like myself, and their members have actually tried to target and slaughter family groups.”

Geller was referring to Floyd Lee Corkins, who admitted that he used one of the SPLC’s hate lists to target the Family Research Council in April of 2013.

* This is so patently dishonest. Pamela Geller wouldn’t describe her group as “anti-Muslim.” She would call it anti-Jihadist or anti-Islamist.
