House Republicans moved forward today with their vow to sue President Obama for executive overreach, introducing a draft resolution “providing for authority to initiate litigation for actions by the president inconsistent with his duties under the Constitution of the United States.”

The resolution allows the speaker of the House to “initiate or intervene in one or more civil actions on behalf of the House of Representatives in a Federal court” in response to “implementation of (including a failure to implement) any provision of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” deemed unconstitutional.

“We do this in order to uphold our oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution. It is the same oath the president has taken, and yet, time and again he has circumvented the American people and their elected representatives,” said House Rules Committee Chairman Pete Sessions (R-Texas).

“The president’s failure to uphold his oath dangerously shifts the balance of power away from what the Founding Fathers intended and the Constitution requires,” Sessions added. “Congress’ ability to effectively represent the American people is severely restricted when the executive unilaterally chooses to create its own laws. Further, the president’s actions undermine the rule of law which enables a fair and functioning society in which individuals may invest and businesses may create jobs that help our economy grow.”

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) stressed that “no president should have the power to make laws on his or her own.”

“In 2013, the president changed the health care law without a vote of Congress, effectively creating his own law by literally waiving the employer mandate and the penalties for failing to comply with it. That’s not the way our system of government was designed to work,” Boehner said.

“As I’ve said, this isn’t about Republicans versus Democrats; it’s about the Legislative Branch versus the Executive Branch, and above all protecting the Constitution. The Constitution states that the president must faithfully execute the laws, and spells out that only the Legislative Branch has the power to legislate. The current president believes he has the power to make his own laws – at times even boasting about it,” the Speaker continued. “He has said that if Congress won’t make the laws he wants, he’ll go ahead and make them himself, and in the case of the employer mandate in his health care law, that’s exactly what he did.”

“If this president can get away with making his own laws, future presidents will have the ability to as well. The House has an obligation to stand up for the Legislative Branch, and the Constitution, and that is exactly what we will do.”

Obama mocked the lawsuit during remarks in Austin today.

“There are a number of Republicans, including a number in the Texas delegation, who are mad at me for taking these actions. They actually plan to sue me,” he said, followed by audience laughter. “Now, I don’t know which things they find most offensive — me helping to create jobs, or me raising wages, or me easing the student loan burdens, or me making sure women can find out whether they’re getting paid the same as men for doing the same job. I don’t know which of these actions really bug them.”

“The truth is, even with all the actions I’ve taken this year, I’m issuing executive orders at the lowest rate in more than 100 years. So it’s not clear how it is that Republicans didn’t seem to mind when President Bush took more executive actions than I did,” Obama continued. “Maybe it’s just me they don’t like. I don’t know. Maybe there’s some principle out there that I haven’t discerned, that I haven’t figure out. You hear some of them — ‘sue him,’ ‘impeach him.’ Really? Really? For what? You’re going to sue me for doing my job? Okay.”

On Wednesday, after meeting with Texas Gov. Rick Perry in Dallas, Obama said Perry suggested “maybe you just need to go ahead and act and that might convince Republicans that they should go ahead and pass the supplemental.”

“And I had to remind him, I’m getting sued right now by Mr. Boehner apparently for going ahead and acting instead of going through Congress,” the president said. “Well, here’s a good test case.”

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) said Obama is being “very clever to try to mix these two issues” of executive orders and the immigration crisis.

“Article 2 of the Constitution that gives the president his power is very clear. ‘The presidential shall faithfully execute the laws.’ And that means enforcing the laws that have been passed and signed into law and not creating new laws or changing laws that already exist,” Goodlatte told CNN. “There are laws on the books today that the president is not enforcing that would solve this problem.”

"I’m issuing executive orders at the lowest rate in more than 100 years.

The issue, president Angrychild, isn't the quantity as you well know, but the overreach and usurpation of the legislative process to undermine the intentionally slow, tedious pace of our government.

The founding fathers knew your kind all too well and wanted to prevent jerks like you from having a Roman Holiday while you act as if you are above it all.

You've really struck a nerve; Not just with conservatives but even your own flaky, amoral, immoral, immature and ignorant base who are wondering what it is, exactly that motivates you.

It's not really a great mystery. You are not clever, nor particularly bright. Your actions are obvious and you are currently robbing the store while making faces at the security camera, daring the authorities to come get you. You think it's all a great fun game.

But you're playing with fire and you don't care. Let me know how it works out. Yes, it could work out in your favor but that will just embolden you more until eventually, you get something stuck to your shoe that just won't come off and the media won't be able to explain away.

What's really interesting is that you apparently never watched any villain movies or studied any law in the real world. You really do think you're omnipotent. But just as Caesar, Nero and Caligula lost in a big way, you may find yourself surrounded by your former supporters who don't think much of you anymore.

And you won't like how that ends. I speak not of violence but complete and utter dismissal from those who you used to count on. Right now it's politically expedient for the media to support you. They hate the US as much as you do but eventually, your time will come to an end and given the left's propensity toward the "new/shiny", they will turn on you and ignore you like the homeless guy on the street corner.

Speaking engagements will dwindle after awhile and the nation, if not the world, will tire of your BS. For that's all it is.

I am pleased that Boehner et al is finally calling you out on your lawlessness. It may achieve nothing but the debate over how you do business will come to the fore and educated, truly intelligent people will identify your actions as illegal and destructive.

Our society is at great risk, if Obama and the Democrats get their way, drug cartels, human traffickers and dangerous criminals will flow freely through our borders and fill our neighborhoods, because he will not stem the tide with the National Guard. Prior to even Obama’s Imperial reign, borders have never been fully sealed, with the 2006 Secure Fence Act that was sabotaged by GOP former Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson for some obscure reason; probably as her corporate cronies didn’t like it. Now we are suffering the consequence. Absolutely we should build 700 miles of double or even triple fences, as the massive costs would be reimbursed from not having to financially support 11 to 20 million plus illegal aliens? Think about it! There is no accurate way to figure the actual numbers of foreign nationals; they hide away from Census takers. Obama cannot be trusted anymore. He has no intention of securing our borders or is unlikely to enforce the border with ‘boots of the ground’. Under Section 10 of the US Constitution of the Cobstitution: No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.
WELL TEXAS AND THE BORDER STATES HAVE BEEN INVADED, SO THEY HAVE A RIGHT TO PROTECT THEMSELVES BY WHATEVER MEANS:

He is a fraud and a liar having betrayed the American people other than those vermin who idolize him for free handouts of unrestricted food stamps. Obama is pressing for an amnesty plan that is a danger to our national security. People from the Middle East and our destruction in mind are arriving with those people from Mexico, El Salvador Honduras and Guatemala. Democrats are going to try and pass an amnesty bill while no one's looking, at a late night session before Congress closes shop vacation time; by presidential executive order. These new waves of illegal aliens are affecting the thin line of defense on the border, straining resources and the worst is yet to come? That without visible signs of the military patrolling, the open areas without barriers the numbers of unknowns will accelerate. The President and his cohorts think the answer is taxing us even more, to pay for anybody who makes it across either border. Mexico is not our friend, and they will not enforce their side of the border. We are a foolish people who trust the words of our lawmakers, who do one thing and then double-cross us. We need to rid ourselves of this Liberal Progressive President, who cannot be countered for the scandals on his watch.

People need to get off their rears and voice their anger against the most anti-American president in the history of our country. He has allowed 36,000 alcohol-abusing, drug addicted, sexual predators, Murderers and hit and run uninsured animals and other criminals to flood our streets; where our children walk.-and millions more are coming if Obama gets his way with amnesty. We just can't let that happen or we will be living in a fear 24/7, paying taxes just to pay for the poor of the world who feed off hardworking Americans. Obama says amnesty will make our communities safer—that is a flat-out LIE! You will never read the truth in the mostly Liberal leaning newspapers. The political polls have fooled the gullible. Read some of the people’s commentary in thousands of newspapers encompassing this country and learn the truth, not the main columns of false information. Indeed, even the polls have a Liberal-elective point of view, unless you read Polls such Rasmussen Reports. Our nation is being invaded each day, but until now the truth has been hidden, unless you ask the ranchers and property owners in the Border States who suffer each day from criminal activity. If it costs a hundred billion dollars to hermetically seal the border tight, it would be well worth it in the end.

If you were doing your JOB, rather than whatever you want to do, there'd be no need.

B.O. tells us and mocks us because he is saying that Boehner is suing him for doing his job.

Well the supremes has shown by the number of times they have swatted him down that he isn't doing his job and in reality should be impeached.

20 times 9-0 supremes overrule him
many other times they over rule him with less than 9-0

and courts have found him in contempt of court.

So he isn't doing his job, or is just so ignorant

Yeah, so? Neglecting what you should be doing to issue bad orders makes for fewer total. So what? That's the best justification you can come up with? You're fired.

You can not sue nor impeach a Pharoah. You can embalm one however.

He already looks like King Tut's first cousin. Not sure how much worse he'd look if he were embalmed in actuality. Come to think of it, maybe that would be an improvement. Although, with what he's got to work with, that may be a serious stretch.

Well after all, Barack Obama, he’s an ordinary liberty grabbing fascist man
Who desires nothing more than an ordinary chance
To make all people live exactly as he wishes, and do precisely what he wants…
An average fascist man is he, of no especially clever whim
