Texas Democrat: Obama's Border Neglect 'Bizarre' and 'Aloof'

Rep. Henry Cuellar went on MSNBC today to reiterate his call for President Obama to visit the border while he visits Dallas and Austin this week. The Texas Democrat has been outspoken in his criticism of the president’s neglect of the unfolding crisis on the Texas-Mexico border, even as the White House has called him to tell him to tone it down.

Cuellar also brings up the Veterans Administration scandal. On MSNBC. Where the president’s dwindling base might actually see it. Even Andrea Mitchell seems to be floored by Obama’s behavior, in allowing himself to be photographed playing pool rather than visit the border.

Obama might end up bending on the border visit, and if he does, that will raise Cuellar’s stock quite a bit.
