The latest on the Nigerian schoolgirls who were kidnapped is that the government is no closer to finding them and that Michelle Obama is “outraged and heartbroken” at the terrorist act.

CNN reports:

First lady Michelle Obama condemned the “unconscionable” kidnapping of more than 200 Nigerian schoolgirls, saying the action was taken by “a terrorist group determined to keep these girls from getting an education.”

“Like millions of people across the globe, my husband and I are outraged and heartbroken” over the mass kidnapping by the terrorist group Boko Haram, the first lady said Saturday in the White House weekly address.

President Barack Obama has directed his administration to do everything possible to help the Nigerian government, she said.

Then there’s the report that has surfaced in the last 24 hours that the Nigerian government actually got wind of Boko Haram’s kidnap plot and did nothing about it:

The Nigerian government found itself scrutinized after a new report charged that Nigerian military commanders knew the terror group was on its way to raid a boarding school in the northeastern town of Chibok at least four hours before 276 girls were abducted.

The findings by human rights group Amnesty International echo accounts of a number of the girls’ parents and villagers, who have described to CNN an ineffective military response in the days and weeks after the girls were taken.

President Goodluck Jonathan’s government vowed to investigate the allegations even as it defended its military response and questioned the motive behind the accounts.

“This is really outrageous, unbelievable,” Minister of Information Labaran Maku told CNN.

Boko Haram’s leader, Abubakar Shekau, took credit for the mass kidnappings in a video that surfaced this week. He said he planned to sell the girls into slavery.

Yes, there is much to be outraged about over this terrible incident. But lost in all the chest thumping and “We are the World” pontificating is the bare fact that the reason those girls were taken is because they are Christian.

It was no big deal when some 50 boys were slaughtered last February, in amongst the thousands who have been murdered by Boko Haram. But females are considered a special constituancy of the Democrats.

They're 'our' girls, but there's no 'our' Christians. Simple as that.

Clinton, o & the rest of the liberal whackos in DC could care less about Christians. But if a bunch of muslim girls were kidnapped by some Christian terrorists, all hell would break loose!

My last pay check was $9500 working 12 hours a week online. My neighbor’s sister has been averaging 15k for months now and she works about 20 hours a week. I can't believe how easy it was once I tried it out.

How many times does some administration spokesman have to reassure us that there will be "no boots on the ground"? Nobody expects American "boots on the ground", but what is the point of reminding our enemies that we intend to do essentially nothing to threaten them,
Oh, I forgot, We are fighting back with "hashtag". That will show them we mean business.

Same way he said put all our resources in to rescuing the people in Benghazi. Overly broad without any detail. Tan everyone below him refuses to do anything or make a decision without oval Office approval.

If there is any silver lining to this, it is that more people will start paying attention to BH in particular, and Islam in general.

While in no way disputing the outrage over the amoral inconsistency between 'war on women' concern about attacks on schoolgirls and attacks on Christians, i have not seen many comments that link Benghazi and Boko Haram - the Obama administration's political subservient of all negative world events to the 'narrative' that Al Queda is 'on the run'. Benghazi was a direct result of not wanting to link radicals there to Al Queda and the quote from the State Department on Boko Haram was that it was important not to link them with Al Quaeda. Obama political narrative, in which Hillary was/is fully invested has caused death and destruction.

how about that, black people kidnapping other black people to sell them into slavery.

And yet we have the race hustlers in this country that still want to condemn Americans for having slavery in the past, note PAST, but while blacks are still selling other blacks into SLAVERY now, in the present, those black race hustlers are nowhere to be seen.

Seems they can't get rich by any shakedown with other blacks, selling blacks into SLAVERY.

Obama and H. Clinton are fully in sync with the Muslim Brotherhood agenda. I cannot figure it out. There must be money under the table.

The timing of this is crucial. With two special committees forming (both Benghazi and IRS), and the ACA still unpopular, Democrats looking to lose the Senate, they need a squirrel fast...and cynical as it is, this has squirrel painted all over it. The kidnapping and atrocities have been going on for years..they just need something to 'unite' the country. After the election, it will be back to appeasement and the blind eye.
