Liz Wahl worked in Russia Today’s Washington, D.C., bureau, until today. She’s the grandchild of Hungarian refugees who fled the Soviet jackboot. Today she quit Russia Today on the air, because she said she could no longer work for a network that “whitewashes” Russia’s actions.

Wahl quit Russia Today one day after fellow DC anchor Abby Martin protested Russia’s Crimea invasion, and the network responded by saying it was sending Martin to Crimea.

On Twitter Tuesday night, Wahl publicly sided with Martin.

Too bad we don't have congressman like that who have the guts to stand up and insist on the dissolution of the racist black, Latino and Asian/Pacific Caucuses as well as demanding the arrest and deportation of illegal aliens.

She is far more of "a man" than our generals are. No matter how much Obama violates the United States Constitution, which they swore an oath to, I doubt one of them will ever resign in protest.

I wonder whether Abby Martin has enough brains to resign and not to go Crimea right now. Or wait, she's a 9/11 truther, so she may actually go there to end up as "a first victim of vicious Ukrainian barbarians"—the sight of her mortal remains will be broadcast by RT to intimidate anyone who dares to speak up like she'd done.

She lives in San Francisco and broadcasts from Washington DC.

Does that sound like she is likely to go to Crimea?

Do your homework.

To our Ukrainophobic and otherwise xenophobic friends, a word from the subject matter expert, if you will:
===================================
NEW YORK (JTA) — Rabbi Yaakov Dov Bleich, a chief rabbi of Ukraine, accused Russia of staging anti-Semitic “provocations” in Crimea in order to justify its invasion of the former Soviet republic.
At a press conference in the Manhattan office of the United Jewish Communities of Eastern Europe, Bleich compared Russia’s behavior to that of the Nazis prior to the Anschluss invasion of Austria in 1938.

Asked about anti-Semitism among Ukrainian nationalists, particularly two far-right parties that have been included in the new government, Bleich acknowledged concerns but said the Jewish community has received assurances from top government leaders that their safety will be protected.

The same JTA that was warning about Svoboda Party anti-Semites in April/May 2013. Mykola you need to get to work airbrushing out that photo of Tyahnbok giving the Hitler salute.

Funny I always thought she was half Filipino or Vietnamese or Thai. Those Magyars like some Russians sure do reveal the Central Eurasian features...

Bryan,

I look forward to someone at the Jewish Telegraph Agency, the New Republic, or the Forward whose grandparents were murdered by Ukrainian Totenkopf SS guards having a similar conscience attack about the neocons 'there are no neo-Nazis in Ukraine or in the Ukrainian government' lies. Maybe what it'll finally take is the neocons and the State Department arranging for a trip by McCain and Nuland's buddy Oleh Tyahnbok to Yad Vashem to whitewash his viciously anti-Semitic history. Hopefully there will be at least one Russian Jew in Israel there to yell at him on camera and embarass the neocons just like Michael Weiss was embarassed when his jihadist buddies started eating lung and vowing to attack Israel after they removed Assad. Or maybe these people are simply beyond shame.

even without resigning, is there any high-level person who will protest? Expose him for the traitor he is?

Just whom did Martin and Wahl think they were working for? Hadn't they ever heard of the journalists who've gone up against Putin and wound up dead?

They are/were working for the RT in Washington, DC. Not Russia.

Many people here in Ukraine have been collaborating with Putin to form Russia's 5th column. They know exactly they eat somebody's blood and tears... and nonetheless, they keep doing what they're doing—some disregarding the truth about their actions and the ramifications thereof, the other just conjuring up contrived theories how they fight against fascists, "banderovtsy" etc.

Good for both of them. I hope some U.S. network will have the courage and intelligence to hire these two.

They would much rather hire Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson. But then I think you probably already know that.
