MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, not exactly a svelte triathlete himself, joked Thursday about re-elected NJ Gov. Chris Christie’s weight.

TOM MCGRATH, PHILADELPHIA MAGAZINE EDITOR: “Two days after Election Day, Chris Christie has crushed his opponent. Is he gonna be the Republican…”
CHRIS MATTHEWS: “The one I feel for is his wife.”
[Laughter]
MCGRATH: “Why’s that?”
MATTHEWS: “Did you just say, “crush?” I mean, use your imagination. [Laughter] Use your imagination. You poor dear. You poor dear.”

Har. Dee. Har.

When Democrats can’t win on policy, which is most of the time, they work on smears.

Fat-shaming Christie may rouse the MSNBC faithful but it is almost guaranteed to backfire among saner folks. Millions of Americans struggle with weight. This disqualifies them from office, but lying repeatedly about serious policy doesn’t? Really, Chris Matthews?

Just trying to recall...back before Al Sharpton lost 150 pounds was he ever "the elephant in the room"?

I wonder if Al will go no-justice-no-peace om Matthews for weight discrimination? You'd think formerly-fat Al would show some solidarity.

Even though Chris Matthews is often offensive, this is probably his worst comment of all. Mocking a person's weight and by extension, the private life between a husband and wife, is about as low as you can go. Why must he drag Christie's wife into the muck that is his fevered imagination? Every year this man becomes more cruel and disgraceful.

Christie is extremely gifted in politics. Charismatic, gifted people are often burdened with addiction. Clinton was gifted with addiction to, well we all know. Christie just cannot push away from the table.

What's that dribbling down your leg, Chrissie, you fan boy blowhard? Somebody might have complained about your comment, but no one watches you drool on MSLSD.

Alinskty 101... in action.

Plant a cartoon image, that you will flash to, every time you see the man...

Ridicule (re. sex act), isolate (morbidly obese), leading to eventual demonization of everything the man says and does.

But I wonder how Mathews qualifies to comment on male/female sex, since he admittedly gets his "tingles" from watching oRoid type commies pontificate.

Ha! The Tingler is a great example of the fact that there is no possible defeating of Leftists. They are enemies as long as they live. I'd bet they feel the same way about normal people.

Of course they are going to target Christie's weight if he is anointed the next GOP loser, especially if he runs against Hillary. Even though there are plenty of obese Democrats, they'll overlook all the insults that will be hurled at Christie because he's just a fat, greedy Republican who got that way eating on money stolen from the poor, or something along those lines.
