Rapper Akon exhorted blacks to abandon America after a Florida jury found George Zimmerman not guilty in the Trayvon Martin case. Posting on Facebook, Akon writes “Every African American in the United States need to move their money, family, knowledge back to Africa were u will be treated like the royalty you are. You don’t deserve this treatment. This is not your country!!”

The Senegal-born Akon’s devotion to law and order is questionable. He is perhaps best known for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl on stage during one of his performances several years ago. No word on whether Akon believes that girl was “royalty” who deserved such treatment.

Maybe Akon put his finger on the problem? We fought a war in this country so nobody would have to be treated like royalty. If that's what the negroes are upset about, they should move back to Africa. They could do for Nigeria what they've done for Detroit. Maybe the African natives would treat them like royalty then?

I'd pay for tickets. That's a good Republican Campaign issue: tax deductions for charitable giving of one way tickets to Africa. I've sure come to wish that my ancestors had picked their own damned cotton!

That's right, Black Americans. Take all your money [that most of you haven't got]
and move to Africa where everything is so wonderful, people are just crowding the airports and harbors to bulginess, trying to get in.
Akon will be right there to welcome you, along with Wyclef Jean, Cornell West and Michael Eric Dyson.
Melissa Harris-Perry will be 'on hand' instructing you in how to establish your very own villages, by Skype, as she simply cannot be bothered to skip her CNN show-ups.
You'll be missed,... but we'll get over it...........

It's been several years since I read this, but I recall an account of an African-American's visit to Africa. He had been expecting a glad "Welcome home, Brother!" reception. Instead he was treated like dirt by the Customs and Immigrations people because that's the way of petty officials just about everywhere, and because he was obviously not of their tribe. Once inside the country, the locals treated him as just another American, with none of the warmth he had been expecting.

I've heard that Africans sneer at African-Americans and have an open disdain for them. Particularly those African Americans sporting "corn-rows" upon arrival in Africa.

Sad, but there are the two separate "Black" cultures now, and they're apparently incompatible. The African-Americans are now betwixt and between...and they've brought it on themselves by expecting the White Americans to give them all a hand-out living. It's their "right".

I've posted elsewhere that it's fifteen decades since Emancipation, and five decades, and counting, since the so-called "Great Society" of Lyndon Johnson.
All of that "affirmative action", "diversity" effort, de-segregation of the Military Services and the public schools, most notably in the District of Columbia.....have yielded......the Affaire Zimmerman.

Sad. All of that effort and bales of cash-grant programs thrown at the Blacks, and now what?

Occasionally, ignorance can be such a cute thing - small children, puppies, and mindless rappers of no talent and big mouth.

Buddy, I'll go one better. I will personally pay for a one way, first class ticket of your choice to any African country if you will invoke your U.S. citizenship and never step foot on this soil again.

Wow, holy deficit reduction, Batman! Crime rate drops by 70%, balanced budget becomes a reality, democrat party fades to irrelevancy.....nah, never happen; they know a gravy train when they see one and ain't no way they giving it up. The saddest part is that it's actually true.

Akon may want to consult Muhammad Ali. After his victory in Zaire, Ali was asked how he liked Africa. His reply: "I'm glad my Grandaddy got on that boat!"

And we fought a second war to free black Americans. How much blood do they want us to spill?

Akon might want to google "Rwanda", and see how more than half a million people were treated by their fellow countrymen. Hint--it wasn't like royalty.

Fabulous idea. Where do I sign up for Mr. Akon's ticket "home"? I'll even donate my charitable contribution as a little spending cash to bust a cap or something upon Mr. Akon's arrival "home."
