White House spokesman Jay Carney said in response to a question about the September 11, 2012 Benghazi terror attack that it “happened a long time ago.”
“Let’s be clear,” said Carney. “Benghazi happened a long time ago. We are unaware of any agency blocking an employee who would like to appear before Congress to provide information related to Benghazi.”
The question was about reports that Benghazi whistleblowers are being prevented from coming forward.

On September 12, the day after the attack, President Obama said “I want people around the world to hear me: To all those who would do us harm, no act of terror will go unpunished.”
Apparently we have to define “act of terror” to understand what the president was really saying. The whistleblowers’ legal counsel, Victoria Toensing, says that both Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry have been aware of the allegations of abuse against the whistleblowers for at least two weeks. Toensing also said that both Obama and Kerry are aware that the State Department is obstructing the House investigation into the attack.
On the other hand, Fox reports today that the mastermind of the attack is still walking around free even though the US knows who he is.
The mastermind of the man-caused disaster in Benghazi walks free, while Americans who want to provide information on the attack face punishment.
