The Las Vegas Strip looked like a scene in a Quentin Tarantino movie for a few minutes this morning.
Police say three people are dead and at least three are wounded after a `rolling gun battle’ and multi-vehicle crash at a busy intersection on the Las Vegas Strip.
Sgt. John Sheahan says five vehicles were involved in the crash, including a taxi that burst into flames and killed two people around 4:30 a.m. Thursday at Flamingo and Las Vegas boulevards.
Sheahan says people in a Maserati and an SUV were exchanging gunfire before the Maserati hit the taxi.
The three dead include the driver of the Maserati and two people in the taxi. A passenger in the Maserati was among the injured.
The SUV was a Range Rover. Those run about $83,000. Maseratis run about $110,000. Whatever this gunfight was, it clearly wasn’t a pair of angry soccer moms or a case of ordinary road rage. The Maserati was evidently the target of whoever was in the black Range Rover. That SUV got away and police are still looking for it. Its unknown occupants are considered armed and dangerous.
So, was this a mob hit, a gang hit, a cartel hit, or what? How many of those involved had prior convictions and should have been in jail?

And of course we all just KNOW that gun control laws are just the thing to reign in those criminals who...you know...break the law.
One side effect, of course, being that the firearms that ARE available have risen in price - so fortunately the great unwashed who are the real danger here won't be able to afford a firearm and, you know, like drive around and shoot at people.
