The effectiveness of the Senate’s Gang of Eight immigration reform plan would be left up to the wrong person to verify.
Under a bipartisan Senate framework, Democrats say, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano would have final say over whether the border is secure enough to put 11 million illegal immigrants on a path to citizenship.
Janet Napolitano does not recognize terrorism as terrorism. To her, terrorism is a “man-caused disaster.”
Janet Napolitano believes, despite the evidence and drug war raging on the south side, that the US-Mexico border is “as safe as it has ever been.”
It’s clear just from these two instances that Napolitano is less interested in truth than in politics. The political effects of legalizing 11 million illegal aliens are massive. Democrats see such legalization as a vote machine, and a means to cement the Hispanic vote to their party forever.
And in addition to that, has she not already declared that the border is safe? It’s obvious that Napolitano would rubber-stamp, lie, do whatever it takes to legalize those her illegally without any security action taken at all.
The fix is in with this bill. It’s amnesty. The Democrats have no intention of securing the border, not now, not ever. They will legalize the current illegals, keep the border insecure, and come back in a few years to their perennial issue, mint a few million more voters, and once against cast any opposition as racist. It’s all very predictable.
Marco Rubio has some more explaining to do.

I already called Rubio’s office and my senators and house rep blasting them for thinking about giving that power to Janet. I suggested they try GAO or an IG but in no way can they give that power to the executive branch. I hope others are calling as well. I read yesterday in the Hill that the House is close to having a plan to rollout prior to the State of the Union but they are keeping the talks secret………… business as usual in DC, no transparency and then surprise, time to vote, no need to read it and debate.
Yeah, this bill is blatantly an amnesty bill. Leftist columnists who have connections with the Democratic Party have been reassuring the party faithful that the border-state commission is merely a fig leaf and will have no authority.

The O’s oft state goal is the total destruction of the GOP. Adding another guaranteed 11 million dem voters would go a long way in that direction.
ICE agents suing POTUS, ah, calling Sen. Rubio, Sen. Flake, hello?
“Federal Judge Reed O’Conner ruled on Friday that 10 ICE agents and officers indeed do have standing to challenge in Federal court the so-called Morton Memo on prosecutorial discretion and the DREAM directive on deferred action.
The agents filed their complaint in October, charging that unconstitutional and illegal directives from DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano and ICE Director John Morton order the agents to violate federal laws or face adverse employment actions. This is a major first step for the ICE agents in their case against the administration!
In his 35-page decision, Judge O’Conner found that the ICE agents and officers have standing, but that the State of Mississippi does not. He has not yet ruled, however, on the agents’ motion for a preliminary injunction to halt implementation of the DHS directives.
The primary impetus for the lawsuit came last June, when Secretary Napolitano issued a memo offering deferred action and employment authorization to illegal aliens under age 31 who meet certain criteria similar to those outlined in the DREAM Act, which has failed to pass Congress on three occasions.
Even before that, though, ICE Director John Morton essentially gutted immigration enforcement by issuing a memo on prosecutorial discretion that, in effect, prohibits ICE agents and officers from arresting or removing any but the most violent criminal aliens. Under Morton’s stated policy, most of the 12 million or so illegal aliens that the administration wants to legalize are currently safe from deportation….” read on
