If you’re not ready to defend yourself, your chances of becoming a victim are increased. “Peace through strength” isn’t just for geopolitics.
A man is in stable condition after being shot during a robbery attempt in Glen Burnie [Maryland] Monday night, according to Anne Arundel County police.
Shortly after 9:30 p.m., a man approached the victim inside his parked vehicle on the 7800 block of South Hampton Drive, displayed a handgun and announced a robbery. The suspect shot the vehicle as the man drove away, and the victim suffered a gunshot wound, according to police.
The perp attempted theft, attempted murder, illegally discharged a firearm, probably one or two other crimes and he probably said some bad words too. Maryland’s tough gun laws didn’t stop him.

Say, our Legislature is in session right now in Maryland. Maybe they could outlaw armed robbery. I mean, if laws prevent criminals from committing crimes, all we should have to do is outlaw robbery. Right?
Oh …
Never mind.
Next time the guy should park in a gun free zone. Just to be safe.
