On the Benghazi attack, senior Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod told Fox News’ Chris Wallace yesterday “there is nobody in this planet who is more concerned and more interested in getting to the bottom of this than the president of the United States.”
“The president is responsible for everything that happens on his watch,” Axelrod said on Fox News Sunday. “…And, it’s not a matter of blaming. That’s just the fact. Sometimes intelligence has to catch up with the reality on the ground. This was one of those cases.”
Even with different timelines coming from the State Department, the White House, and Joe Biden on who knew what when, Axelrod claimed “the president was in contact with all those who had information and responsibility in the national security chain about this incident.”
“There is a separate issue of how Governor Romney handled it. I refer you back to the famous 47 percent tape in the spring, where Governor Romney told in private, told his supporters that he was waiting for a crisis, waiting for an incident, to jump in on national security, and, he did,” he continued. “He jumped in right away the day of these attacks, with half information in a way that was denounced by both Republicans and Democrats. And there is no doubt he is working hard to exploit this issue and I would point to the fact that this morning, in Bloomberg News, Chris Stevens’ dad said that he regretted that people were trying to exploit this issue.”
“The security matters are being adequately investigated,” Jan Stevens told Bloomberg. “We don’t pretend to be experts in security. It has to be objectively examined. That’s where it belongs. It does not belong in the campaign arena.”
Axelrod told Wallace he was happy to discuss the case, but “I think that’s different than the manner in which Governor Romney has conducted himself.”
“I am just telling you from the beginning of the issue, before any facts were known, he was cravenly trying to exploit it,” he continued. “And look, that’s politics. I understand that, Chris. I understand the whole deal. We’re in the last weeks of the campaign and, of course, Governor Romney is going to be talking about the issue.”

So now the ones who have gone on for months politicizing the war on terror and declaring it ended and won, thanks to the killing of bin laden, now they say that WE are politicizing the facts…
And those who have left the embassy without a due and serious security detail… they tell us that we can’t investigate what they have done and their motives.
And those who have declared to the nation and to the world (UN) that the murder of the Ambassador had been caused by a movie, and have directly and indirectly blamed the first amendment and America for what al qaeda had done…they tell us that we are partisan…
These are terrible times indeed…
These lies , the cover-ups, and the undignified use of the media are way beyond the normal political dialectics. We are watching the shadow of totalitarianism growing deep on our Republic.
These are political criminals, who have killed by action (Fast and Furious) and by omission (Benghazi) and they tell us that we have a low moral standard.
One step more and they will say that we need to be re-educated, or that we need psychological treatment.
I am only 46-years-old, but I was a soldier for more than 20 years, I traveled to 21 countries and every continent on Earth except Antarctica, I fought in six combat campaigns and I have been a police officer in a large Southern city for more than five years…I thought I “had seen it all”.
This ‘administration’ is the most brazenly corrupt, unscrupulous, inconsiderate, cunning, cold, calculating, inept, embarrassing, un-American, deceitful, arrogant, sleazy and yes, TRAITOROUS in the history of our young Republic, may God save.
Every calculation is politically motivated first and foremost; NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING comes before what is politically most opportune for Dear Leader. The whole crowd deserves to be in prison, not up for reelection. We desperately need a whole new crop of younger statesmen and leaders who have not been corrupted by Washington, DC’s sickness of power and unaccountability.
Axelrod looks like he has a stomach ailment (for real). The swallowing (especially after the more stressful questions), the weird sticking out of the tongue at times makes it look like he is in serious discomfort. Possibly its an ulcer or something else.
I’m no doctor but I have had the symptoms and if he wasn’t who he is I would feel for him.
“I am just telling you from the beginning of the issue, before any facts were known, he was cravenly trying to exploit it,” – David Axelrod
Translation: since the Obama administration won’t be able to cravenly exploit Libya ourselves, let’s cravenly project our cravenness onto our political enemies.
After the last decade of the Democrats turning national defense into a political toy, they have the gall?
We have their internal memos planning to lie about defense matters to hurt Bush politically.
There are two main issues at work concerning the Benghazi Debacle
1. Safety & Security before the attack – who controlled that & why did they refuse security.
2. The response to the attack & the cover-up – this is the key issue right now. The key testimony at the hearing by Charlene Lamb was that the alarms were activated, telephone contact was made with superiors in Washington, the cameras were rolling and Washington (and others) were watching/listening to this entire 6 hour battle in real time as it occurred. Washington time was 4:40pm in the afternoon. Tom Donilon informed Obama just as he began a scheduled meeting with Secretary of Defense Panetta & Joint Cheif Dempsey.
Spend 20 minutes of your time to listen to this radio interview in Boston about what that “real time” video really means ….. understand also that there is NO WAY this can stay hidden, too many people all over the world heard (and recorded per in place procedures) the entire event. This is a massive cover-up. Obama must be totally delusional to think he would not be impeached when this eventually is made public.

Col. David Hunt checked in with us again after the revelation that there were multiple listening posts which heard the cries for help from the US Embassy in Libya and none of them did anything.

Frankly, Mr. Axelrod, I hope someone does ‘cravenly try to exploit’ this issue, because heads in both the White House & State Department should be rolling and people should be getting pink slips, including you.
Deflect, dodge, deceive, disable, disarm, disavow, discredit, disguise, disrupt, distort – all this administration’s M.O.
America is getting shafted by Axelrod and Co.
That’s the way they roll at the democratic “machine” in Illinois. By controlling who gets on the ballot here (see aug 6 article at http://www.chicagoclout.com/ ) to controlling the msm, we get a candidate for pres. that will help them, (screw the rest of us) they didn’t even vett. We don’t know who Obama is and they don’t care. Axeholerod is just another POS from the Daley crime family.
Axelred and “craven” go together like Mom and apple pie, but I never thought he would have the audacity to use the word in reference to another human being.
Maybe he can run after obama finishes shooting himself in the foot.
Oh wait, Axelred is a white person. Scratch that idea.
