Before the terrorist assaults on the US embassy in Cairo, Egypt and the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya on 9-11-12, US Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice tweeted the following:
Today we pledge to never condone terrorism; never make excuses for it; never keep company with those who sow hatred; and never forget.
— Susan Rice (@AmbassadorRice) September 11, 2012
Yet five days later, Rice would do exactly that. She would blame a deadly terrorist attack on a movie in front of the entire world.
She cannot say that she was not warned. On 9-10-12, our own Ray Ibrahim picked up the following jihadist threat in the Egyptian media, to the US embassy in Cairo.
Jihadi groups in Egypt, including Islamic Jihad, the Sunni Group, and Al Gamaa Al Islamiyya have issued a statement threatening to burn the U.S. Embassy in Cairo to the ground.
According to El Fagr, they are calling for the immediate release of the Islamic jihadis who are imprisonment and in detention centers in the U.S. including Guantanamo Bay: “The group, which consists of many members from al-Qaeda, called [especially] for the quick release of the jihadi [mujahid] sheikh, Omar Abdul Rahman [the "Blind Sheikh"], whom they described as a scholar and jihadi who sacrificed his life for the Egyptian Umma, who was ignored by the Mubarak regime, and [President] Morsi is refusing to intervene on his behalf and release him, despite promising that he would. The Islamic Group has threatened to burn the U.S. Embassy in Cairo with those in it, and taking hostage those who remain [alive], unless the Blind Sheikh is immediately released.”
That warning emerged in the Egyptian media on 9-8-12. If we had it, the Obama administration had it.
Yet they chose to go with Operation Infinite Spin instead of acknowledging that America had suffered another terrorist attack on our soil.

I’m a little unclear here. Is rice the US ambassador to the united nations or the royal ambassador to the subjects of his imperial majesty?
Remember “never waste a crisis”?
The fact that they put her as the face of the administration when this broke –rather than ole Hilary, the Secretary of State and Ambassador Stevens’ boss– should tell us something.
Rice’s seat as UN Ambassador was elevated to Cabinet level when President Obama took office. Susan Rice is also the Responsibility to Protect (R2P) queen. Countless times, for example, she’s expressed the pain of Darfur after having walked through the aftermath of a genocide. She wants to prevent genocide at all costs.
Prior to his election, she had written an R2P paper as an “independent idea for our next president” via the Brookings Institute headlined “America must do more to fulfill the Responsibility to Protect.”
http://www.brookings.edu/~/media/research/files/papers/2007/10/24darfur%20rice%20opp08/pb_darfur_rice.pdf
This past May, the Chicago Council of Global Affairs held an R2P symposium to coincide with the NATO summit — and a senior fellow detailed exactly what President Obama has done to “fulfill the Responsibility to Protect”:
http://2012summits.org/commentaries/detail/williamson_1
He cites President Obama “develop[ing] military doctrine, training, and mainstreaming of the ways and means to address this threat to international peace and security” as well as creating the “interagency Atrocity Prevention Board to develop prevention strategies and to ensure gathering storms in this area are elevated for senior decision-making.” (Interagency!!).. and other things..
This is nothing new.
We heard about President Obama invoking R2P for Libya.
Now, since R2P has the potential to commit the United States to any and every altercation around the world (we are the world’s police, after all),
Benghazi was an opportunity to explain “incitement to violence” to Americans nationwide.
This is why she was on all the Sunday talkshows with everyone watching.
And just like President Obama has been trying to exploit LGBT rights, women’s rights, and whatever othe demographic out there this past year to garner votes for re-election, they were using Benghazi to legitimize R2P before the year’s out to the American public and satisfy the countless leftists, academics, politiicans, and -especially- the UNbots that are pushing this doctrine who know exactly what R2P implies.
Remember — Rice is the UN Ambassador.
Yes, R2P wants to prevent crimes against humanity, genocide, etc. but invoking the “incitment to hatred”!! via the Mohammed video would have nailed the lid on the free speech coffin. And we’d be like every other sucker nation who’s fallen prey to the dictates of the international law. Isn’t the Supreme Court the supreme law of the land?
Then again, who wants genocide? Who wants to be deemed responsible for an outbreak of deaths? Which American? You?
The problem with R2P is that it’s a the prefect socialist ploy to allocate and redistribute resources, beginning with American military might that should be used to protect American citizens first and foremost. Foreign aid and gimmicks like Cap and Trade, the Robin Hood Tax (global financial transaction taxation) and the UN’s call for a “global billionaire tax” are just other forms of their efforts to “protect” marginalized socities and prevent mass atrocities before people fight to the death for resources.
But, in order for anything like this to continue or occur, free speech needs to be restricted. We can’t speak out against the government.
This is why R2P and fighting the “incitement to violence” label are so important.
America is literally the last bastion of free speech. Once the government labels what is a threat to the state or inappropriate under international law, we can no longer speak out on the direction we want our country to go.
Once we go (like Britain and the rest of socialist Europe), that’s it.
Isn’t it ironic that they didn’t care to protect the Ambassador? Isn’t he an American citizen who needs protection?
Well, the opportunity presented itself and they put Rice front and center.
That’s my free-speech opion, anyway. Thanks PJ, for letting me vent it.
We will never excuse terrorism. Freedom fighters on the other hand can do whatever they want!
Was this statement of hers before or after the police arrived at a private home at midnight, at the behest of the Federal government? Just curious.
Was it before or after the Pakistan ads?
Words are wind.
This isn’t how someone who has their mind on the *original* 9/11 attacks would be expressing their thoughts. Imagine someone saying this nonsense 11 weeks after 9/11 for instance.
Furthermore, who actually uses phrasing like this that doesn’t already have serious problems with condoning and excusing terror, keeping company with those who sow hatred and forgetting the past? It’s written from the perspective of someone who is in a 12-step program who knows they need to stop an addiction and is trying to coach themselves up.
Could it be that her administration pals have a real problem they can’t kick and we just don’t know all the details yet? It might be a cry for help to Congress for an intervention: “Subpoena me for testimony, please. I need help and want to help others escape this madness.”
