There’s more than one meaning of the word “intimate,” folks. There’s “intimate” in the wink-wink-nudge-nudge sense, and there’s intimate in the “close friend” sense.
Joe Biden is a gaffe machine, highlight his gaffes is my third favorite sport, (fourth during the Olympics) but I don’t think that this is a gaffe. I think he meant in the “close friendship” sense, and someone is successfully trolling for traffic.
And what Biden said, evidently, when speaking at an event in Detroit today: ”I can tell you, and I’ve known eight presidents, three of them intimately…”
Three, Biden! Sheesh, you sure get around! Vice President Biden is on a gaffe-tastic roll, providing much-needed comic relief. This latest rambling is no exception; the giggles cannot be controlled.
Maybe they should be.

Which reminds me why Biden is fair game, even when we know what he really meant….. how many “fake Palin” quotes were used to lampoon and diminish her as a Veep Candidate in 2008? many of which were Tina Fey skits?

The intimately part doesn’t bother me. It’s the “I’ve known eight presidents” part that makes me raise an eyebrow. Did he like, know them in the Biblical sense? Hmmmmm?

Akin in Missouri said a stupid thing and is being destroyed by it. Biden says stupid things all the time and keeps getting reelected. How does this happen? The world wonders.
