WH spokesboy Jay Carney, ever the font of unintended comedy.
During the White House Press Briefing today, Press Secretary Jay Carney told a reporter to “be mindful of your sources” when asked about the Drudge Report article reporting that Mitt Romney was considering selecting former Army General and current CIA Director David Petraeus as his running mate.
The report asserted that President Obama privately told a top fundraiser that Romney was considering it.
“I can say with absolute confidence, such an assertion has never been uttered by the president.” Carney said. “And again be mindful of your sources.”
Right. On the one hand, this same White House has played a role in escalating the character attacks on Mitt Romney from bullying to being a felon to outright murder. And on the other hand, this same White House has its minions out accusing Romney of not paying any taxes for 10 years, based on some source that exists only somewhere inside Harry Reid’s alien-like head.
And it’s only August.
For what it’s worth, the “source” for the Petraeus story was not Drudge, but a major Obama fundraiser. Drudge is the reporter. The same reporter, it’s worth nothing, that built his career getting major scoops out of the connected and powerful.

Is there a reason, any reason at all, other than comedic value why I should even acknowledge Carney’s existence. He’s just another red shirt, just like Wassupdoc-Schulz(I See No-Thing!!)

While the whole of the US isn’t like Texas I think I’m starting to see the “Dewhurst” effect on the Obama campaign. Dewhurst kind of beat himself because his negative campaign pissed off a lot of people who were on the fence and motivated the Ted Cruz fans to go out a beat him like a drum.

Overlooked is the classless way Obama “leaked” Petraeus name as Romney’s vice president. Who knows? Maybe he was going to name him at the time of his own choosing. Why did the president try to force his hand?

The beautiful thing about all these over-the-top attacks is that they are so ridiculous so early that no one will further take anything else seriously, even if it were to turn out true!

I heard that Obama plays golf when he should be working, that he lies to the American People ad nauseum, that he supports surrogates that break the law and lie to Congress, that he abuses executive privileges, that he hates the military and that he is trying to dismantle the American Economy one unneeded regulation at a time, that he has grabbed more land for the government than any other president ever.
