The pro-life Catholic group Priests for Life is the first to announce it will openly defy the new pro-abortion mandatethe HHS department put in force today under the Obamacare health care law.
The new mandate compels religious employers to pay for and refer employees for birth control, abortion-causing drugs and contraception in violation of employers’ religious beliefs.
The fines can hit $100 per day per employee.
Father Frank Pavane told LifeNews his pro-life group doesn’t qualify for the narrowly-drawn exemptions in the mandate, so his organization will not comply with it and will run the risk of fines and other possible punishment.
“The unjust and unconstitutional HHS mandate, against which Priests for Life and 57 other plaintiffs have sued the federal government, takes effect today. We at Priests for Life do not qualify for the year that the government has offered certain groups to “adapt” to the mandate. And we are not “religious” enough for this Administration,” he explained. “But regardless of all that, we do not adapt to injustice; we oppose it.”
“Therefore today, on behalf of our organization and on behalf of myself personally, I announce our conscientious objection to this mandate,” he said.
These thugs and their thugocracy will fall when we withdraw our consent. It worked in the Soviet bloc and it will work here.
So what Fr. Pavone is doing, that is how it will have to go.
Hopefully, there won’t be an “emergency” that “postones” the election…

Not only are churches very healthy, some of them are working overtime to ensure that their beliefs become the law of the land & applicable to all citizens.

If we don’t throw the bums out in November, we will need massive civil disobedience against this Federal government which is more tyrannical each day under Obama and his administration, arrogating to themselves powers that are nowhere specified in our Constitution.

What everyone is missing is that Muslims are EXEMPT from obamacare. I don’t think many people are aware of this, and the MSM sure isn’t getting the word out. According to Muslims, insurance is a form of gambling. Because Muslims don’t believe in gambling, they are therefore exempt on religious grounds. obama is more than happy to respect Muslims’ religious freedom, but not the the religious freedom of Christians and Jews, who object to paying for contraception and abortion. We need a Chick-Fil-A uprising against obamacare!
