Bloomberg: I Didn't Mean that Cops Should Strike for Gun Control 'Literally'

In which the sanctimonious, liberal totalitarian archvillain walks his latest stupid comment back:

“I don’t understand why the police officers across this country don’t stand up collectively and say, ‘We’re gonna go on strike. We’re not going to protect you unless you, the public, through your legislature, do what’s required to keep us safe,’” Bloomberg said.

That was on Piers Morgan’s show Monday night. Predictable blowback ensued, so Bloomberg “clarified.”

“I don’t mean literally go on strike,” he said. “Keep in mind, it is police officers who run into danger when the rest of us run out. Police officers have families. They want to come home to their families safely.”

Did Bloomberg ever stop to consider that if police go on a nationwide strike, the very first thing that millions of Americans would do is run out and buy a gun to protect themselves from the criminals who would suddenly be unopposed by law enforcement?
