Appearing on Fox & Friends this morning, Gov. Mitt Romney went on offense as he barreled into President Barack Obama’s ethics. Gov. Romney tore into the deadly Fast and Furious scandal, saying “If we want to talk about transparency, the real issue is, why has this president used his presidential power and executive privilege to keep the information about the Fast and Furious program from being explained to the American people?”
Gov. Romney also zeroed in on what he dubbed “political payoffs” to supporters by the administration, using taxpayer dollars.
FOX NEWS’ STEVE DOOCY: “I read in the Washington Post this morning that you want to draw attention to Obama’s political payoffs versus the middle class layoffs where you say, if you are a donor to the Obama camp you are going to do just fine. However if you are in the middle class Governor, your camp says, you got to worry about your job.”
GOV. ROMNEY: “There is no question but that when billions upon billions of dollars are given by the Obama Administration to the businesses of campaign contributors, that is a real problem particularly at a time when the middle class is really suffering in this country. I don’t know whether you watched over the weekend, the report that was in The New York Times about families really struggling particularly those that are single parents that are just having a hard time making ends meet. This is a tough time for the people of America. But if you are a campaign contributor to Barack Obama, your business may stand to get billions of dollars or hundreds of millions of dollars in cash from the government. I think it’s wrong. I think it stinks to high heaven and I think the administration has to explain how it is they would consider giving money to campaign contributors’ businesses.”
Romney is referring to the numerous failed “green” companies in which the Obama administration has invested billions of taxpayer dollars, which turned out to be run by those who have contributed to Obama’s campaigns, and which later failed. Solyndra, Ener1, and NRG Energy Inc. are just a few of the failed Obama “greendoggles” that have wasted taxpayer money in the tens of billions.
Gov. Romney is campaigning in swing state Pennsylvania today, while his campaign is rolling out its new ad hitting President Obama’s political payoffs during a time the middle class faces layoffs. Romney’s new offensive follows a week in which the Obama campaign pounded his work at Bain Capital and the Salt Lake City Olympics, even suggesting that Romney might be a felon. Democrats Ed Rendell and Lanny Davis have admitted that the Obama campaign’s attacks probably went too far.
A123 Systems is another battery company (always a good investment strategy to fund several companies that do the exact same thing) to which the administration gave a DOE loan guarantee. The company issued an SEC filing not too long ago this month saying that unless it is able to raise significant capital it will run out of cash to fun operations by the end of the year. They company has drawn down over half of its $249 million loan guarantee. Also, it makes the recalled batteries for Finish-made electric car company Fisker Automotive, another DOE loan recipient. It never ends.
THAT’S IT. THE PERFECT CAMPAIGN SLOGAN THAT ROMNEY NEEDS TO HIT OBAMA WITH:
“Obama political payoffs or middle class layoffs? We don’t want either.”
All these solar industry projects are nothing more than scams to filter money to friendly Obama supporters. I think Romney ought to run that through the MSM real hard and show who, what, when, & where all our money went to.

Romney has no passion for the fight, and while I realize he is held in check by the national media I am non the less amazed that he still prefers to fight the battles that obama brings to the table instead of waging his own war .. He has been handed a plum with obamas comments about “if you have started a business that was not you the credit goes to someone else!” Get passionate Mitt that statement provides fodder for an ongoing assaylt such as obama does about Bain… Mitt you are what we have, step it up please!!!!

Obama’s most critical payoff will be the groups that stuff five million (or so…whatever polls show him behind) phony ballots for come November.
If he wins, who will “investigate”? If he still loses, the Repubs will say, “It didn’t matter, let’s move on!”.

I was on the fence about voting for either Mitt Romney or Barack Obama. Since the ‘Fast and Furious’ mess, I am moving more into the Romney campaign. How would Mr. Romney do for the middle class? We need tax relief, which is one of Mr. Obama’s ‘promises.’ Can Mr. Romney get the ultra rich to pay a little more of their so-called ‘hard earned millions’ in taxes, so the middle class can stay middle class, and not descend into poverty?
How does Mr. Romney stand on the NRA, and gun rights? I am sick of Holder, Brady, and all those gun banning idiots telling us Americans what to do.

Those Americans found in the top 1% of income earned per year already pay 50% of the United States’ total tax revenue. What more do you want from them? People get so angry at people because they have more money. I’m a college student making around $16000 a year. I see about 82% of that. If I were salaried somewhere for $100,000 and taxed at my current percentage (I believe I would actually be taxed higher), I would only see $82,000 a year. People are quick to balk, “BUT YOU STILL HAVE $82,000!!!,” but that isn’t the point. I might have $82,000 still, but I also paid $18,000, which is pretty damn substantial. I beleive that those making over $250,000 are taxed at 35%. That means that if I am making $260,000 a year, I am giving the government $91,000!!!! Almost ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS. Yea, my salary might be $260,000 but I’m only taking home 169,000 , which is an incredible decrease.
Here is what the public needs to be reminded of…….every man woman and child now owes $50,000 in debt so a family of 4 owes $200,000. If you take 10 years to pay it back that is $20000 per year. The answer that we get from Obama is that he should increase the debt and that will fix the problem. Does that really make sense.
Another factor is that only about 50% of people pay taxes so you really owe double that number if you pay taxes.
Mitt! Listen to us, step up the fight, this is the battle for our very existence as a FREE country!!
While I would much rather see Romney in office versus another 4 years of Mr. Osama, im sorry Obama, I still unsure if he can actually beat him in this election. Obama keeps throwing these tv ads that make Romney look like a money laundering woman hater. Romney is going to have to start coming up with more and better tv ads to fight back. He should first prove that Obama’s ads are untrue and tell the people about how Obama is giving mney to his supporters through bogus green companies. We need a president who is going to fight for us. Please stand up and fight Romney. I just don’t know if our country and survive another 4 years of Obama.
