Valerie Jarrett is President Barack Obama’s closest adviser, so close that she can and does overrule senior campaign adviser David Axelrod and members of the Obama cabinet. In a radio appearance on June 30, just two days after the US Supreme Court upheld the ObamaCare individual mandate as a tax, Jarrett appeared on a radio show to bask in the administration’s big win.
“We will take it [the court victory] any way we get it,” said Jarrett. “I mean, we argued both ways. We thought this fell within the commerce clause, the court ruled it was a tax. We really look at it as a penalty. But, whatever they wanna call it, the fact of the matter is, it was a historic day for the United States, a country as wealthy as ours is now gonna provide health insurance for everyone.”
The United States is currently more than $15 trillion in debt with $5 trillion tacked on since January 2009, and with the lowest participation in the work force in 30 years. The Social Security trust fund is running deficits, is expected to run out of money in 2033, and Congress and the White House have little appetite to reform it. Democrats have demagogued Rep. Paul Ryan’s plan to reform it without offering any plan of their own. They did nothing to reform Social Security during the two years they controlled both houses of Congress and the presidency. Disability dependence is at all time high, further draining the US economy. Manufacturing is slowing, and unemployment is stuck around 8 percent nationally and higher in many states. It is this environment that Jarrett describes the United States as “wealthy,” and capable of taking on the entitlement task to “provide health insurance for everyone.”

Yep, and a unicorn in every pot. Tastes just like chicken s**t.
So I got health insurance. Whoopee! Will I get health CARE?
Barbie says “Math is hard”.
Canada never recovered from North Korean-trained Trudeau.
I doubt we will either, with Republican rent-seekers just trying to run in front of the parade.
Of course Valerie Jarrett is happy, since we probably have her to thank for the entire mess.
Great. The government will provide us all with health insurance.
The actual effort of health CARE, on the other hand, will be left to the remaining strength of the hard working private sector.
We in the private sector had better work hard for as long as we can. As they warned Boxer in George Orwell’s Animal Farm:
“the very day that those great muscles of yours lose their power, Jones will send you to the knacker, who will cut your throat and boil you down for the fox-hounds”
Or until Atlas shrugs!!
Mr Obama and Ms. Valerie Jarrett go way back to Chicago’s 1990′s fast, free wheeling Chicago-style thuggery.
Is there proof? Yes! Let’s start with a little snippet from Daily Caller’s investigation into Obama’s ties to current economic collapse, as follows:
“Obama also made friends among the city’s developers, including Tony Rezko — who was convicted on corruption charges in 2008 — and in the city’s urban planning division, then overseen by Valerie Jarrett, who remains one of his closest political advisers. Real estate interests contributed heavily to his 2004 campaign, including $12,000 from Penny Priztker.”
Crony capitalism – Citybank Federal Savings in 1996 was sued by then attorney Obama working with law firm Miner, Barnhard & Gallard who was representing progresive activists claims of banks “redlining” in low income neighborhoods.
“His own private-sector history shows that he: 1) promoted and 2) profited from the nation’s disastrous real-estate bubble. One striking example comes from the president’s 1995 housing-discrimination class action lawsuit: a) It provided him with legal fees, b) greased his political donations and c)boosted his role in Chicago politics.”
His lead client, Ms. Selma Buycks-Roberson and “Obama volunteered for several other political lawsuits, including three filed on behalf of the controversial ACORN community organizing group” were all directly involved with:subprime, bank deregulation legislation and ultimately Federal Reserve Greenspan and even Mr. Bush’s extending subprime loans to Hispanic families. Because of this progressive activism and several changes to real estate rules and regulations,(especially at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) current economic demise and real estate collapse can be laid directly at both Mr. Obama’s and Ms. Jarrett’s feet.
Later, Mr. Obama and Ms. Jarrett saw Citibank Federal Savings morph into mega -Citibank in 1998.
Chicago-style thuggery is now national in nature. God Bless America. Amen.
Jarrett’s statement is false at the outset. The “country” is not “gonna” provide healthcare to everyone. That’s wishful thinking on her part, projecting her progressive unicorn dream for a Single Payer plan. Insurance will be provided by employers, or by individuals who purchase it from insurers (via exchanges), and by taxpayers who will be providing it for everyone who can’t afford it or his dumped by their employer.
– have will pay more for less care and have increased taxes; those who don’t, still won’t have: Headlines for 2015 already predictable.
