Speakers don’t have arrest powers over civilians, but set that aside.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi attacked House Republicans for pursuing contempt of Congress charges against Attorney General Eric Holder on Wednesday.
“I could have arrested Karl Rove on any given day,” Pelosi said on Wednesday, The Huffington Post reports. “I’m not kidding. There’s a prison here in the Capitol. If we had spotted him in the Capitol, we could have arrested him.”
“Oh, any number” of charges could have been brought against Rove, Pelosi said. “But there were some specific ones for his being in contempt of Congress.”
Pelosi’s Thursday press conference should be fun.

This business of constitutional government is just so confusing for poor Nancy. She sees the example of President Obama just doing what ever he pleases and thinks that this should apply to the Speaker of the House as well.
And yet, you didn’t, did you Nancy? So what stopped Nancy? Incompetence? or Impotency? or both…

Then why didn’t you? If you knew crimes were being committed, why did you do nothing? If you do nothing while crimes are being committed, why should you become speaker again if that thing you call a party wins a majority? What other crimes did you ignore while speaker? Does ignoring crimes you thought could be easily handled speak well of your character?
Or could it just be that you are in fact dissembling now?

You have to wonder about the voters who keep reelecting her. I can only surmise they’re as deluded as stupid as Pelosi to keep sending her back to Congress. There is one exception. In the very old “L’il Abner” comic strip, they kept reelecting the senator to get him out of town.
Find a candidate to run for her seat. Get her on video. Use the video in campaign ads. The woman is either senile, delusional, or both.
