Democrat strategist Julie Roginsky appeared on Fox today to discuss the Obama administration’s plan to halt deportations for hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens and offer them unlimited work permits. The legality and wisdom of the policy will become a hot debate topic in the presidential campaign. Roginsky, clearly trying to play the sympathy card, said the policy change would allow these young illegal aliens “who were brought here, through no fault of their own…to participate as Americans.” She noticed her slip right away, and immediately said that they would not become citizens.
Yet.

Let me see, we have effectively a 20% unemployment rate and they are bringing in more workers. Doesn’t seem smart to me unless they think they can get the votes from sympathetic fools. I think it was a bad strategy… it will just pour more fuel on the fire of our side.
The President can’t speak for himself and his administration policy? He needs a party spokeswoman because he is playing politics with the issue?
The ad writes itself:
“There are 23 million Americans who cannot find a full-time job in the United States under Barack Obama’s leadership.
Today, Obama announced a bold new plan to deal with that crisis: He announced that he will give 800,000 illegal aliens job permits which enable them to take jobs from hard-working struggling Americans.
On November 6, you have a choice. On the one hand, you have Barack Obama handing your jobs over to illegal aliens. On the other hand, as my first act as president, I will on day one reverse this Executive Order and return these jobs to hard-working, tax-paying Americans.
Elect me, or your job may be next.
I’m Mitt Romney and I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take it any more. Join me.
I’m Mitt Romney and I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take it any more. Join me.”
Mitt Romney is an establishment Republican. The only thing they get mad as hell about are people actually expecting results and demanding action based upon campaign platforms, instead of just being grateful someone with an “R” got elected. Why, Jeb Bush called those type of unreleastic people “extreme” just the other day….
Shorter, punchier version—Mitt Romney is an establishment Republican, and the only thing they get mad as hell about is the Tea Party.
They’re like the Scottish nobles in “Braveheart”. A national team win would be nice, but individual success is more important and overrides.
Of course they can participate “as Americans.” That’s why the Justice Department won’t allow Florida to purge its rolls of illegals: they’ll vote for the current administration. Just wait till Obama has real flexibility and 4 more years.
Amnesty. It’s what Obama is offering for dinner. He will find out that it’s going to be a very expensive meal indead. November can’t come fast enough for me.
Am I the only one wondering what ‘fiat’ will come next? He’s going around Congress extra-Constitutionally and ignoring law. For those who sighed “oh, that’s too bad” when he said he wouldn’t defend DOMA (picking and choosing which laws to enforce), here’s why some of us warned there would be more laws the Won would ignore.
If he gets away with this, we’re done as a country. His next edict will be worse, and there will be more and more. The Right encourages him by doing nothing. Where’s Boehner? McConnell? Romney? Anybody???
Feckless and Lawless. Those are the two parties.
Another cynical, political distraction vomited by Obama. How many self-serving surprises will this preening peacock spring on the American people in order to try and change the subject of his dismal performance?
At this rate, by Sept he’ll declare that he is bisexual, move his “partner” into the White House along with their genetic love child, direct Holder to “find” in the Constitution a new right for tri-marraige and declare that Justice will arrest any naysayers ….. not that there would be anything wrong with that …
I think that this is an alternate Clinton strategy – piss off the Republicans to the point they impeach him in the House, cry “RACIST” and then rage against the “extremists” to the cheers of the MSM.
