The official citation for the medal, as described by the White House, read that Karski had “worked as a courier, entering the Warsaw ghetto and the Nazi Izbica transit camp, where he saw first-hand the atrocities occurring under Nazi occupation.”
So Obama’s speechwriters, and Obama himself, must have ignored the information present in their own citation when writing Obama’s remarks. Not only was the death camp not “Polish” (although it was in Poland), it was actually a transit camp and not a death camp–and that information was already known to them, or should have been.
Maybe Obama should fire his speechwriter and hire the citation-writer to fact-check his speeches.
But isn’t Obama reputed to have said, circa 2008, that he’s a better speechwriter than his speechwriters?

Amazingly, by not reading the prepared citation remarks and insisting on the wording used in the speech, Team O has succeeded in ripping the scab off some old, unhealed wounds and bad blood between Poland and Jewish survivors of the Holocaust. Poles resent being associated with Nazi atrocities of The War and the survivors state that the hands of Poles were, in fact, quite active during that era. So much for O being a “uniter, not a divider”.
I have watched Obama mouth the words of his stupid speechwriters for a long time now.
Yet, even as he is made a fool of by their words, he keeps them on his payroll.
Are they his drug suppliers?
Do they have ”the goods” on Obama to a point that Obama dares not fire them?
What?

I think they should interrogate the teleprompter. Find out what it knows.
