What's On My Kindle App

As I geared up for a trip to Japan a few years ago, I bought a Windows Mobile PDA and loaded it up with books to read on the planes and trains. That PDA is long outdated and in a closet somewhere, but the experience of reading ebooks was one that I liked, and it changed the way I acquire and read books. I’ll still go to book stores to wander through the aisles and leaf through whatever’s there, maybe get a coffee, but I hardly ever read physical books anymore. For one thing, it’s just easier to read more than one book at a time with ebooks. These days, I do probably 90% of my book reading on my iPhone’s Kindle app. The app works great and automatically syncs up with the Kindle app installed on all of my other computers.

Books I’m reading now or have recently read include Becoming Breitbart, by Chris K. Daley, which is a quick read that chronicles the too brief life of Andrew Breitbart. Troll Valley, by Lars Walker. Walker is among my favorite fantasy writers these days, and Troll Valley may be his best yet. I also have the Hunger Games trilogy on the app. I’ll get around to reading them.
