Lee Whitnum, who is mounting her second bid for the Senate in Connecticut, blasted [Rep. Chris] Murphy over his support for Israel, the New Haven Register reported.
“I’m dealing with a whore here who sells his soul to AIPAC, who will say anything for the job,” Whitnum said, referring to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
Whitnum said anti-American sentiment worldwide could be cured if the federal government were to prosecute U.S. settlers who “go to Israel and maim or kill in the Promised Land.” She also called for the elimination of U.S. aid to Israel.
“The Jewish community has always taken care of its own,” she said.
It sounds like she’s just calling for the elimination of Israel, period.
I can’t wait for the NBC special cut of these comments.
By the way, here’s a screen shot of Whitnum’s web site. Click to enlarge. She doesn’t even try to hide what she thinks of Israel, she has an item on the left titled “Zionism is Stealing. And guess who she blames for the Iraq war? And guess who she blames for 9-11?
If you guessed “The Jooos,” give yourself cigar.

It doesn’t really matter what Lee Whitnum says. If she has a D after her name, a majority of the Jews in her district will vote for her.
Smart people have an amazing capacity to use their intelligence to rationalize their decisions rather than decide rationally.
Im not so sure about that. New York had a special election in a predominant Jewish district. Both candidates were pro-Israel, the Democrat candidate Jewish himself. The Republican won. Why? Just because of Obama’s anti-Israel policies. Now take a anti-semite as the Democratic candidate, I dont see many Jewish people supporting her, especially if the Republican candidate is Israel friendly. There seems to be a slow but fairly dramatic change in the feelings of pro-Israel Jews to which party has Israel’s best interest in mind.
She does realize that Connecticut has sent Joe Lieberman to the Senate for a long time, even as an independent?
… and what about Abraham Ribicoff who was governor and then there’s this guy Blumenthal in the Senate …
I’m genuinely surprised that she isn’t black.
For those of you who don’t live in CT, there’s something here that the Americans refer to as “Westport Stupid”. She’s a prime example.
The “war on women” continues without a break.
Are suggesting that pointing out this person’s antisemitism is a GOP war on women?
Talk about useful idiot.
From Frank’s many comments on this site, I believe he’s being sarcastic.
I think he is referring to one person calling another a whore. Of course if the roles were reversed I am sure the ugly left would be all over it.
I’m sorry, usually Im more clear with my snark, but I was busy being distracted by not eating at Arby’s.
The blacks will vote for Obama as they descend into economic slavery, the Jews will vote for those who hate Israel and support those who want to rid the world of all Jews. What a wacky world in which we live.
whoa everybody! this woman is not a major candidate. she’s not going to get the nomination…it’s a Democratic primary and she’s one of the marginal “crank” candidates.
her family apparently has a long history of Jew-hating: she’s British and her father was stationed in Palestine (this is before some Jordanian Arabs decided to call themselves “Palestinians”) and helped prevent England from allowing Jews to immigrate to Israel.
so it’s in her blood.
I’d be more concerned if she was at all important. but she’s just one of those wacko Jew haters that every town has, those 2 or 3 older-hippie looking people marching in front of the local food coop holding “Divest from the Zionist Oppressor” signs. yawn.
I wonder what would have happened if someone with such extreme views against any other group ran as a GOP candidate. Oh, wait, I know the answer. We would hear about it non-stop, 24/7 on the news networks. Liberals would use it as example A about how she represents all conservatives because all conservatives did not pay for a full page advertisement in the local paper to denounce her.
Does one have to be sane to run for an office of this kind?
According to the Constitution there is no such requirement. Just the good judgment of the electorate.
This explains part of it: From her website,
Whitnum, who is single, She has no children. Whitnum is a secular Protestant.
#1- Can someone explain to me how you list yourself as a secular Protestant. What is that? Either you secular or your a Protestant. #2- She is an angry women, she is single and has no children. Need I say more? I kind of feel sorry for her, not. I hope she gets put out of her misery.
Geez, what a loose screw, and a former squeeze of Senator John Kerry no less. She’s the reason LSD was invented, or the living example of a bad trip.
“Can someone explain to me how you list yourself as a secular Protestant.”
I’ll give it a try…
It means that they’re sorta, kinda, church attenders who really don’t believe any of the Gospel, but like to go somewhere on Sunday morning because of habit, or the social/business connections they hope to benefit from.
Kinda like a person who stands in a garage, claiming to be a car.
