Virginia Attorney General Kenneth T. Cuccinelli II, who has led the state’s fight against President Obama’s health care law, warned Thursday that Republicans would be “effectively giving up the issue” if they tap Mitt Romney as their presidential nominee.
That’s a point many of us have been trying to get through to the “fall in line” crowd for quite awhile now. The GOP victories in 2010 were a product of a movement that drew most of its strength from a principled opposition to Obamacare. And now the GOP is essentially saying, “Thanks for your help, but shut up.”
