Mitt Romney built his huge Florida victory on the big metro areas, Northern retirees, middle and upper class voters, moderates and Cubans.
This coalition will be: a) very strong in big urban states like New York, Penn, Illinois, Michigan and Ohio; and b) indicates that Romney will be very competitive in Florida this fall. If Romney wins FLA in November, Obama is in deep trouble.

I don’t quite get how an under 50% victory in a closed Republican primary makes a guy a potential winner in New York, but then, I haven’t drunk the McRomney koolaid.
I meant Romney would likely be strong in those states’ GOP primaries. Unless there a national GOP landslide, I don’t see Mitt competing in New York this fall…..
Between Ruben Navarette and your CNN article PJ is really not a valid medium for Conservatives. I will ignore you from now on.
“If Romney wins FLA in November, Obama is in deep trouble.”
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! If Mr. Electable couldn’t beat Gingrich without a five-to-one or better spending advantage (and six years of prior prep), how the hell does anyone expect him to win against a man willing to drain the United States Treasury, plus all it can borrow, plus deploy the US armed forces as necessary, so that he can continue to wallow in the trough?
Hmmmmm?
Romney, should he—God forbid—be the nominee, will get slaughtered like a caterpillar under a steamroller.
Steamroller squashing a caterpillar would be a walk in the park compared to what Romney will experience.
Rush was right — no one should expect to see any attack on Obama like there was on Newt. Romney is too nice for that.
