From Governor Palin’s Facebook Page
Here is what she says and it’s well worth reading. The post begins,
We have witnessed something very disturbing this week. The Republican establishment which fought Ronald Reagan in the 1970s and which continues to fight the grassroots Tea Party movement today has adopted the tactics of the left in using the media and the politics of personal destruction to attack an opponent.
It goes on from there. Please read it. Don’t weep, just read it and act accordingly.

Brokered convention. Palin/Bolton 2012.
If Palin started campaigning soon she could carry the enormous resulting enthusiasm into the convention and take it. No one else has a small army of organized volunteers waiting for the call to enlist millions of supporters in this fight for for liberty, equal justice and the American way. The GOP establishment can be overwhelmed. Come on, Sarah!
We have witnessed something very disturbing this week. Sarah who? There’s somebody in the media who has the last name “Palin” but I don’t know if they’re related.
She is the person who should be running for President.
She was running for months…but not really. No, she’s doing exactly what she wanted to do all along.
A brokered convention would have the elites choosing their own candidate; it’s a bad idea.
She’s right.
But the Left will disagree, no less vigorously than erroneously. That’s what they do. And we have to make the most of it.
Well I certainly agree with the last paragraph: the GOP is letting the Left form the debate before the GOP even speaks and the GOP doesn’t really care because they are scared off by thoughts about political correctness, the minority vote and racism. Until the GOP stands up and gets really tough on immigration I can’t stand with them – they are kowtowing to the Left on this. What good will it do to get our economy in order if it will only be overwhelmed in the end by another 50 million people from the Third World? What good will anything do if we become an upscale version of Brazil and Mexico combined with a smattering of Muslims to complain night and day?
I really couldnt care less what she has to say anymore. She lost me shortly before that goofy book bus tour thing. I react to her the same way I do when I hear about anything from Huckabee.
I’m sorry (and repulsed) by the bunch of clowns the Republicans are intent on trying to foist off on us. God you people are dumb.
i’ve about given up.. at this time i’m sick of all the elected officials and the candidates for pres.. i think i’m sitting this one out.. seems people just aren’t going to learn till they literally get smack up against their heads by the brown shirts.. man nobody has any nads… newt has the biggest ones at this time and man are they assassinating him.. people will regret romney just like they did obama… romney = white obama.. cased closed on that one…
I never thought I would say it, but I’m beginning to wonder what I will do if Romney wins the Republican nomination by dragging through the mud the man who is the most important conservative figure in the country since Ronald Reagan.
I can’t see any difference between Romney’s tactics and the tactics of the leftists. The tactics are idential.
I hear Romney’s and the Ruling Classs rhetoric but, other than taxes, which surprise, put tons of money in Ruling Class pockets, what has the ACTUAL difference been between the leftists and the establishment republicans? Not rhetoric (they lie), but actions. Hundreds of billions for medicare part-d, trillions for obamacare. 3 trillion in deficits under Bush, 5 trillion under obama. Endless increases of the debt ceiling under Bush, endless increases under obama. No action on SS and Medicare under Bush. No action on SS and Medicare under obama. What is a single conservative action taken by Romney in the only election he has ever won? How was Massachusetts better off because of him. He didn’t even appoint conservative judges. He was a progressive; that is what he said.
There also don’t seem to be any significant differences in foreign policy between Bush and Obama, other than the rhetoric.
So why should I vote for a bald face lying Republican who won’t do anything to reverse the tide of the counry when we already have a bald-faced lying leftist.
The question I’m starting to grapple with is whether my family is better off to face reality and adapt rather than struggle, because if the lying duplicitous Romney wins, Romney and his jackals themselves are teaching me clearly that nothing will be different, other than a new slate of rulers lining their pockets at my expense.
You could start by taking a Xanax. Seriously.
Pretty pumped about how Newt is being nuked, aren’t we Moira?
Has there ever been a Republican liar to compare to him? He was a practicing progressive until 2007. He proudly stated it numerous times. He designed obamacare. He’s proud of it. He claims he vetoed a law in Massachusetts that had something to do with abortion, and then the legisature overrode him. Other than that, He did nothing conservative.
In 2007, he had an immaculate conversion to conservatism. I used to believe him…before it became clear what a conniving liar he is. Now I don’t.
Why should anybody believe anything he says. As Huckabee says, “if a man lies in the job interivew, he will certain be dishonest if he gets the job”.
People like Moira are even idiot tools or stand to benefit from R cronyism.
You’re right of course that there won’t be any difference between a Romney presidency and an Obama II. Well there will be a few differences, less conservative opposition and we’ll be blamed when the next crisis hits, from what ever source.
I plan on supporting republican candidates in Congress and my state and voting 3rd party for president if Romney gets the nom. Romney losing the presidency while other republican candidates win will send an unmistakable message to the asshats in the establishment.
You know better, Josh. We have a good chance at a Congress who will write bills Mittens will sign, should we get stuck with him. We have to defeat the Marxists first.
I’m not quite there yet but close.
Since Romney is a sure loser, I’m wondering why I should fluff his losing vote total and encourage the establishment to stay in business, the business of enriching themselves at our expense.
If the responder who says that Romney will cooperate with congress was correct that Romney could win, I would agree with him.
The problem is that Romney is the perfect candidate for obama to crush. Flip flopper extraordinaire, Wall Street type, proud memeber of what many perceive to be religious cult, polite guy who wants to describe how a nice guy has failed, tone-deaf political idiot who has lost 2 of 3 offices he ran for, designer of ObamaCare, all-around progressive.
Newt or Santorum might not win either, but at least they would oppose the leftists.
And we’ve got none other than George Soros himself saying that “there isn’t all that much difference” between Obama and Romney.
Soros: Obama ‘exhausted,’ not much difference with Romney
He should know, right?
Soros knows far better than most how to trade the markets. That’s all. Otherwise clueless.
She said this presumably in defense of Newt Gingrich, but misses the irony that it was Newt who used a Leftist critique of Romney’s wealth and who criticized Reagan in the 80′s for his alleged “failure” to deal properly with the Soviet threat. (That thud you heard was the Berlin Wall falling a mere two years after Gingrich spoke.)
Palin is becoming increasingly irrelevant. If you want to guarantee another Obama administration as well as a stronger Democratic Senate and a Democratic House, just keep listening to Palin and Gingrich.
Gingrich ran a totally positive campaingn until Romney nuked him with negative ads in Iowa.
Romney deserves everything he gets and much more. Romney also undermined Perry and Cain, and in 2008, he ran massaive negative campaigns agsinst Guiliani, Fred Thompson, McCain and Huckabee. Huckabee calls him “dishonest” with is about as harsh as it gets direct from a politicians mouth. “dishonest” is code for “liar”.
And if you think Bain and the way Romney amassed and hides his wealth won’t be an issue in the fall, you are even more foolish than you comment indicates..
You of course completely miss the point of what I said: Palin’s words indict Gingrich and Perry more than they do Romney. And Romney can easily defend Bain against Obama’s crony capitalism and using taxpayer money to subsidize failing businesses.
Gingrich is as electable as Hitler to a large portion of the country, and with him at the top of the ticket you guarantee a Democratic run in the House, Senate, White House, and in many down-ticket races, too. All for the satisfaction of someone who is a “conservative” until he’s not. Read and consider Steve Largent and Tom Coburn’s stories about Gingrich and tell me you could trust this guy with the White House.
Buzz: I agree with you. There are some “cannibals” (another of Sarah’s characterizations) in this affair, but I don’t think it’s Mitt Romney. He has had support from Nikki Haley, Christine O’Donnell, Marco Rubio, Matt Drudge, Ann Coulter, and others – and guess who are now being attacked and vilified as “…idiot tools or stand to benefit from R cronyism….” (to borrow a phrase from an idiot). When this is over, there won’t be one Republican of any stripe – conservative, Tea Party, you name it – who won’t want to kill any other Republican he happens to run into. Maybe we should call ourselves “scorpions”.
No one with clout except Rubio, and he has yet to endorse.
The nonsense you have quoted about Reagan has been debunked. You are brainwashed.
The two main charges against Newt are obviously big lies: that he wasn’t one of Reagan’s primary lieutenants, and that he is against capitalism.
Any child can figure out that these are patently false, even without reading the nonsensical details.
It’s akin to arguing that obama is a moderate. People argue that with straight faces as well.
Simple! Message vs. Messenger! Period.
Always has been, always will be. We The Elite People of Washington DC’s culture of Corruption are literally in full “circling the wagons” mode! Pure unadulterated PANIC!
RNC’s and FOXNEW’s machinations of this farce called Republican Presidential Debates was a “smoke and mirrors” exercise in futility from the get go.
Disparraging Constitutional Conservatives as “pure folly,” a “pipe dream” movement that would irreprably split the GOP convention, thereby forcing a weak nominee to face up to “voice-in-chief” was symptomatic of thier losing hold of We The Elite People’s protected turfs in Washington DC’s culture of corruption…They won’t let go of their protected turfs.
Priebus, Mr. West, and a GOP led effort to “mold” these candidates into We The Elite People’s idea of “the ideal candidate” was discarded by ALL constitutional conservatives. Cain, Bachmann, Santorum were accepted options to Tea Partiers (most Constitutional Conservatives), RNC didn’t see it that way. Whittling of the field, by hook or by crook, was what took place. And their ‘anointed one’ (Romney) has so many flip-flops it’s hard to say what side of the fence he’s really on (a pun!).
By the way, Mr. Romney is for Gun Control. Sided with Brady Bill, Trigger Locks and approved legal actions against gun manufacturers (some of whom in Massacheusetts). A fox in sheeps clothing.
So much for the RNC,DNC,MSM and WALL STREET Washington DC’s ruling Elite of its culture of corruption. Vote massively for there is a “whole lotta fraud goin’ on” (borrowing from Jerry Lee Lewis)! Amen! God Bless America!
Oh grow up….You wanna rehab your Crack House???? First thing, run out the vermin and take out the trash. You argue about carpet swatches while the sub floor is rotting. So.. who’s electable negatives are lower than Newt’s? Palin’s?? Maybe.. I’d say that’s about neck and neck..Go ahead, put Gingrich in there and not only loose 2012, but watch Nov. 2010 go up in flames as well. Not to mention all the individual State Legilatures and Senates gained back then. Everybody’s bitchin’ because the farm teams’ not ready…Well, it’s not… and Ronnie Reagan is not walking through that door…Jeez…the House and Senate is going to set the agenda anyway. Gingrich(or Slick Rick) is not going to fly with the American Idol Kardashian Pawn Shop Whore House Wars boob tube viewers who don’t pay any attention to any of this’ BUT…. they decide the elections. Sad truth, huh? Show me someone other than Romney who is more electable right now…Go ahead….I’ll wait….Rick?, Ron?, you??!!.. Lt. Weinberg??? Like I said, let’s just take out the trash, and we can argue about the tile and drapes later.
Problem is Romney and, to a slightly lesser extent, Gingrich are (metaphorically, of course) vermin and trash.
Oh yeah, and BTW…Rense Priebus took over a virtual non-existant Republican Party in a then blue state Wisconsin and helped a no name business owner named Ron Johnson defeat an almost iconic Russ Fiegold for a US Senate seat, elect Scott Walker govenor and take Republican control of both Wisconsin state houses. The whole Wisconsin story is out there for anyone who cares to see, despite the public union led recall efforts against Gov Walker.( Which, as I hear, the recall efforts are not going that well.) As far as I’m concerned, the RNC could not have picked a better man, considering that all Steele really wanted to do was ride in a limo and get a photo op now and then. Besied Pie In the Sky, what exactly do you want at this momment?
Romney’s words proclaim that he is a conservative.
His actions proclaim that he is a liberal.
1. registered independent until 1992
2. declared himself opposed to Reaganism when he was stomped by Kennedy in 1992
3. declared himself a progressive when he ran for governor in 2002
4. governed as a liberal. State costs rose. State taxes rose. 47th of 50 states in job creation. Appointed liberal judges.
5. architect of romneycare
But in 2007, he had a conversion moment, and became conservative, just in time to run for president. He’s pretty good at talking about it too. But he won’t give an inch on the biggest achievement of his life, Romneycare.
I used to say that any Repugnicon nominee other than a small government fiscal conservative would force me to go 3rd party yet again. Last time I voted for Baldwin rather than hold my nose and vote for McCain, and this despite the fact that I voted nearly straight ticket Republican in ’08 and ’10 in all other races.
This time if the GOP gives me Romney I’ll vote for Obama just for spite.
Hard to tell if this one is a troll, a moby, or just an idiot.
None of the above. Just a fed up small government conservative. You can keep Mittens. Newt too for that matter. If I’m going to get a liberal anyway, I’ll vote for the real thing.
Me, too. Not joking. If the Repubs offer Mr. Establishment Romney, I am voting Repub down-ballot, but Obama for Prez.
Yes, I know exactly what I am saying. If you think Romney will be better for this country, long-term, than Obama, YOU do not know what you are saying.
Why not just vote Libertarian if you can’t stand Romney? That’s probably what I’ll end up doing. I’d gnaw my own hands off before I’d vote for Obama.
This is where i’m at for the moment.
I don’t want to fluff Romney’s losing total if he manages to buy the nomination, but I couldn’t actually bring myself to vote for little lenin, either.
If the disaster increases and the economy tanks so badly that the country would actually consider voting for a ruling class republican snake over a marxist snake, I don’t know what I’ll do.
It really would be akin to being stuck under a rock and having to gnaw your hand off to survive, except that Romney would be the rock, not obama.
I guess you have to have been involved in Republican politics in Alaska to fully appreciate the irony of She Who Was Once Governor (SWWOG), for half a term, carrying on about somebody’s reputation being trashed. You certainly won’t find much sympathy in activist Republican circles here for the her over the trashing she’s taken, turnabout is a b*(ch. I must admit that I did roll on the floor over the Glen Rice story, which she’s never denied, coming out!
Talk about hypocrisy! Saint Sarah made her run for Governor by savaging the reputations of practically every Republican in Alaska. She tarred all of us who worked in the Murkowski Administration and the Murkowskis themselves as the “corrupt old boys,” despite the fact that NO ONE from the Administration has been convicted of anything and only one was even charged; he pleaded out but then the plea was overturned when all the corruption in the DOJ came out and all but one or two of the convictions here were reversed. That’s the part you never hear from her as she touts herself as some reformer; she had nothing to do with it! GWB stupidly left holdover US Attorneys all over the place and the holdovers in SEA camped out in Alaska for three or four years trying to get Senator Stevens by any means necessary. They got him and installed that POS Begich as the first Democrat federal officeholder from Alaska since ’80, but we’ll fix that in ’14. We’ll also remember SWWOG for kicking Senator Stevens to the curb when everyone with a brain knew he was being mau-maued by holdover Democrats. Even the “outing” of Republican Party of Alaska Chairman, Randy Ruedrich that she so likes to brag about and which made her every Alaska Democrat’s favorite “Republican” was total BS and what Ruedrich did ultimately get an Ethics Act finding about had nothing to do with what SWWOG was carrying on about.
I hope some of you can appreciate the irony of the fact that you’ll give total credence to the ethics charges made against Newt Gingrich yet you’ll dismiss the ethics charges against Saint Sarah as some vast left wing conspiracy. And before one of her sycophants chimes in; she didn’t fire me, she didn’t turn me down for a job, I’m not a misogynist, I don’t want to sleep with her, she didn’t turn me down, etc. – I’ve heard them all from those who worship at the Shrine of St. Sarah. But, I do despise her and unlike those of you who love her so much, I know why.
