He just told Cavuto on Fox, saying that he’ll be busy with the other two GOP debates in December, and with campaigning. So he won’t debate in front of The Donald.
With Trump holding out the possibility that he’ll run as an independent, a debate featuring him as moderator is half reality show and half bad joke.
Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich are attending. Ron Paul and Jon Hunstman have said they will not participate. Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry have not yet announced their decisions.

Donald Trump as the ringmeister presents a bad enough picture (to me a long-haired, German Joel Grey), but he has included Eason Jordan as producer — the same Eason Jordan that was a serial apologist for Saddam Hussein, & who accused the US military of trying to murder journalists.
This ‘debate’ is some sick joke by a blowhard billionaire with a major ego problem. Any candidate who joins in should be judged accordingly.
I believe those that sit this out are making a big mistake. Despite many of you thinking Trump is a big egotistical blowhard and will pepper each question with his own commentary, I don’t believe he will. Trump’s public personna is just that and it sells. Its his image. But I believe he will take this very seriously and will act like a serious moderator who will want to get to substance, will be courteous and do his job.
Looks like it will be a good opportunity for Rick, Rick and Michells to get more air time than usual.
No chance the Donald will say anything about Mitt, Huntsman and Ron Paul for taking a pass. It’s not his style.
Good for Romney. Hopefully, Perry will follow suit.
Allowing a debate to be moderated by a reality show star and a potential third party candidate is idiotic.
Before it comes up, the GOP candidates should probably pass on the Jessie Ventura and Rosie O’Donnell debates, too.
