This fellow Barack Obama, I think he might have taken a fancy to himself. Or maybe he has confused himself with the Blues Brothers and thinks he’s on a mission from God.
President Barack Obama spoke in front of the Key Bridge, which spans Arlington, Va. and Washington, this morning, urging Congress to pass the infrastructure piece of his jobs plan, the American Jobs Act.
“If Congress tells you they don’t have time, they got time to do it. We’ve been in the House of Representatives, what have you guys been debating? John, you’ve been debating a commemorative coin for baseball? You have legislation reaffirming that In God We Trust is our motto. That’s not putting people back to work. I trust in God, but God wants to see us help ourselves by putting people back to work,” Obama said.
So, invoking (or parodying?mocking?) the old maxim “God helps those who help themselves,” Obama wants Congress to stop acknowledging God, and pass a partisan bill that would have government handing future generation’s stuff out in order to help Obama buy votes now?
Hey, he’s a liberal, it doesn’t really have to make any sense.
