Guess What? You Get to Pay for Obama's 'Jobs' Bus Tour

Great. This is from Wednesday’s press briefing with WH spokesboy Jay Carney.

Carney indicated he did not know now precisely where the president would go or what he might be announcing (on the bus tour).

CNSNews.com asked Carney, “Is that a campaign event or a presidential event?

Carney answered, “Negative. That is an official event.”

CNSNews.com followed, “So it is being funded by taxpayers in battleground states?”

Carney responded, “He’s the president of the United States.”

Another reporter followed up about whether there was a political nature to the trip.

“The air of cynicism is quite thick,” Carney shot back. “The idea that the president of the United States should not venture forth into the country is ridiculous.”

The reporter said, “I didn’t say that.”

Carney said, “No, but you implied it in your question. It is absolutely important for the president – whoever that person is, in the past or in the future – to get out and hear from people in different communities.”

More arrogance from the worst administration in American history. The Obama campaign has already raised millions of dollars in the midst of a recession that its own policies are making worse. And now we get to pay to watch the president tool around in a bus pretending to listen, for the sake of saving what’s left of his political future. We’re borrowing 100% of GDP, and now we’ll borrow a little more and toss up a little more carbon for this incompetent.

This bus tour is obviously a campaign event. The Obama campaign should pay for it.
