Checking out Fox's 'The Five'

Fox’s new show, The Five, debuted today in Glenn Beck’s slot. First impressions: It’s pretty good. Andrea Tantaros and Dana Perrino seemed to be handling most of the hosting duties, and both more than held their own. Howard Deutsch brought some comments here and there, Red Eye’s Greg Gutfeld brought the funny (throwing hooker and perp walk jokes around in front of Beckel is…entertaining), and Bob Beckel brought the cantankerous liberalism. It was like a bizarro version of every MSM pundit panel in the world. Instead of liberals outnumbering the lone conservative, the conservatives had the numbers. Unfortunately, Andrea never made Bob cry. Maybe tomorrow.

The Five has potential. It’s Red Eye-ish but a bit less, well, full bore Red Eye.
