Warned not to retaliate against whistle blowers, ATF… fires one

Yesterday I reported Chairman Darrell Issa, (R-Calif.) of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, sent a letter to the ATF warning them the were not to retaliate in any way against anyone who chose to testify.

They heeded the warning so well the David Cordrea over at Gun Rights Examiner is reporting they just fired Special Agent Vince Cefalu. Cefalu is one of the ATF agents who helped launch the Web site CleanUpATF.org.

One would hope Chairman Issa would hit the roof when he hears about this and start further investigations. ATF is a cesspool and it’s time to clean it out.

    Holder, Obama; meet Waterloo.

    See you in 2012!

Keep digging Congressman Issa. We know this goes all the way to the Oval Office. This type of operation never gets going without real high up approval. This is an impeachable offense and the people responsible should be serving some pretty hefty prison terms. They are responsible for those U.S. agents killed by these weapons.

I firmly agree, but we shall see if the administration gets off the hook again and hoodwinks the public willing to easily let such horrific, merciless assaults remain unpunished.

Thank you, Patrick. The cesspool does not stop with ATF. The entire administration is mired in one.

“Oh, yeah? Whatcha gonna do about it, punk?” In the end, that’s what it always comes down to in human affairs.

What are you going to do about it, Issa? Cite us for contempt of Congress? Arrest us? That would require the DoJ to make that happen. We ARE the DoJ. We ARE the police. If we choose not to police ourselves, there is not a damned thing you can do about it.

This was a direct response to Issa’s warning. it was a way to demonstrate their contempt for Congress and to send the message, “Oh, yeah? Whatcha gonna do about it, punk?”

issa needs to continue to dig. send him a shovel. the employee fired needs to file suit, which anybody would. congress must act now, while the iron is hot. if they don’t hold these people accountable, the results will be devastating. congress may well, sooner rather than later, rue the day they abrogated their sworn duties.

our illegal would-be dictator belongs in prison, along with all his commie friends. Americans have had enough. murder and mayhem, what else could one expect from this pack of rats? everything the kenyan touches turns to crap. looks like we may be getting some help from above, ya think?

we still have our guns too. imagine what would be happening now if we didn’t. the only way to get them from us now is one bullet at a time. he has stiffened our resolve. the giant is awakening, and his wrath will be terrible.

i often wondered why our forefathers put that clause about being a natural born citizen into our Constitution. now, every day i marvel at their wisdom.

And when we’re done cleaning out the ATF cesspool, can we start on the DEA?

The genesis of Agent Vince Cefalu’s current saga began in 2005. For three years he suffered the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, being persecuted by the ATF brass for alleged insubordination. Those who know Agent Cefalu know that the alleged acts were not insubordination at all, but rather his courageous and unending efforts to expose wrongdoing and mismanagement within his beloved ATF. Many, if not most, of the apparently retaliatory acts against Agent Cefalu by ATF management occurred between the years 2005 and late 2008, which has unfortunately culminated in the termination of his employment today.

Perhaps that Chief Executive Officer of the United States of America who had responsibility for all deparments and agencies of the executive branch of government, including the Department of Justice, between the years 2005 and 2008, should be criticized with as much anger, resentment, hostility and outright venom as those who have voiced similar displeasures with the current Chief Executive Officer. I look forward to reading their amended posts.

This is looking to turn into a full blown constitutional crisis.

Has this been reported at all in the mainstream media – even Fox? I haven’t heard a peep.
