He said that on the Laura Ingraham Show. Later on Fox, Greta Van Susteren gives West a chance for a do-over, and not only does he not do over, he adds that the president is behaving like a “low level socialist agitator,” which he also said in the Ingraham interview.
Rep. West has many facts in his corner on this. The list of arrogant behaviors on the part of President Obama is getting longer by the day. Speaking to a group of supporters this week, he allegedly called some Americans “slugs.” The president is right now pondering using an executive order to politicize the government contracting process. He accused some traditional Americans of “clinging bitterly” to their guns and their faith. He brought into power with him ACORN and Big Labor, together among the most thuggish and corrupt institutions in American politics. He tells one group of Americans to “punish their enemies,” and he takes the country to war in a rush that failed to include any consultation with Congress. He sided with Big Labor and against elected representatives in the Wisconsin budget battle. And on and on.
West has a point here. And good for him for clinging, not bitterly by the sound of him, to his guns on this.
Update: Rep. West has struck a nerve.

Awesome, this is what a real leader looks and sounds like. Something that America needs right now.
i’m really starting to like this guy!
Go West!
Watch out, Rep. West–right now you’re giving Republican big shots and “conservative” commentators the vapors. But please keep it up. We’re not going to get anywhere if we keep mincing words and trying to compromise with Leftists who just want to destroy us.
If I recall West’s comments on Ingraham’s show right, he said (paraphrasing) “a community organizer is a low-level socialist agitator.” He’s right: Stanley Kurtz in his “Radical in Chief” demonstrates clearly that community organizing (read: agitating) is a Socialist profession. Obama is right at home in that field and learned his tactics there. And Congressman West was right on this mark in his characterization of community organizing and the President.
Amazing how little time the rest of the MSM gives this man. He’s made real world accomplishments, as has Herman Cain. Yet when they want a spokesmouth for the “black voice” they turn to Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton or one of the other far left slimeballs and scumsuckers.
Will the Repulican grand poopahs see Ltcol West as the marvelous opportunity that he represents or will we get another John McCain??
And Chris@6 the MSM wants black people represented by those clowns Jackson and Sharpton in order to make their colonial/plantation mentality on the country seem relevant. There can be no other reason. No one getting the big bucks refuses to see the misconception except by design.
