Holmes: …I’m sure you’ve seen the news that Glenn Beck is leaving Fox News to go do his own thing.  What is your reaction to that?  I mean you’re a Pulitzer Prize winning columnist, a major thinker on politics and shaper of public opinion, what is your reaction to Glenn Beck no longer being on that cable network?

Will:  Well, actually I think it’s a good thing for Fox.  I think Fox is on the cusp of being accepted, as it ought to be, as a very fine journalism operation.  And I think that Glenn Beck, in his drift into more bizarre and extreme positions, was threatening the Fox brand.  So I think, I wish Glenn Beck health and happiness.  But I think the health and happiness of Fox is served by his departure.
