Obama’s serial abuse of language

On Wednesday we noted President Obama’s remark that America’s military had been “volunteered by others” for the action in Libya. Today, we learn that the action in Libya is not war, but “kinetic military action.” And what was once called a “rush to war” even though Congress was consulted and the debate lasted a year, is now acting in an “unprecedented fashion and with unprecedented speed.” The president presiding over three wars overseas contingencies resulting from man-caused disasters: Keeping the Peace Prize.

Just don’t call it a war undertaken without much debate or leadership, and without congressional approval, or Joe Biden might try to impeach you.

The thing to do now is carry a large hammer with the word ‘Libya’ written on it. Every single time a Liberal starts in on Iraq or Afghanistan pull the hammer out and strike that fool in the forehead over and over until they understand the true meaning of hypocrisy.
You might want to carry another one with the word ‘economy’ on it and a third with ‘foreign policy’.

It’s not an abuse of language, its a deer-in-the-headlights fear of leadership grasping for straws language.

US News: Americans — stunned out of silence by continuing lack of leadership — discover President Barack Obama has been missing for weeks.

Congressional leaders are demanding that Obama’s remaining brain trust issue a report to the joint houses on the current location and status of the President.

“I haven’t seen President Obama except on television. We used to see him a lot; I’d like him to come out from behind his desk and meet with the common folk.”

The White House would not comment on this story, and decided to just vote present. On the day after (not?) declaring war, panicky House members convened in the Capitol to discuss a post-Obama strategy, with some in attendance complaining about what they believed to be continued White House disengagement.

Language reveals thought, and thought drives action.

Every single day, the words Obama and his crew use tell us who and what they are, and at the same time reveal who and what they value.

With unprecedented speed and in an unprecedented fashion, the US military has been volunteered by a few NATO countries with selective international interests for kinetic military action in Libya. This pretty much says it all.

We are at kinetic military action with Libya. We have always been at kinetic military action with Libya. Double plus good!
