Maybe! They’re running billboard ads against Republican Rep. Fred Upton in his district to slam him for trying to rein in the Obama EPA. This isn’t a one-off action for the ALA. Just a few days back, the ALA stood alongside the EPA’s Lisa Jackson to support the agency’s recent moves, moves which may end up skyrocketing our electricity rates. And while clean air standards are obviously in the ALA’s wheelhouse, in the case of the EPA’s overreach in Texas, the EPA is acting against a state-level clean air program that works as well as, if not better than, the EPA’s own mandates. Basically, the ALA is uncritically supporting whatever the Obama EPA comes up with. And now it’s even going after EPA critics directly.
Here’s the anti-Upton billboard:

I’ve cut way back on donations, since so many in the nonprofit field have gone overboard into leftist causes — even when such connections are not inherently obvious. Zoos and aquaria, for instance, mindlessly parrot AGW drivel.
Is this how a 501c3 non-profit organization is supposed to behave?
They’re asking for it. The fig leaf of this being an issue ad is pretty skimpy.
