WI Dem ‘drove 80 miles an hour’ to try to stop tonight’s vote (Update: Protesters swarm WI capitol building)

Bust him for speeding. And for lying.

STATE SEN. LARSON (D-WIS.): I did. I was trying to see if there was something we could do, anything, in order to try and stop this, but it was pretty obvious they didn’t want to have anything to do with that. They didn’t want the Democrats there. We thought we were talking, we thought we were having good discussions, we thought we were on our way to having a compromise that would preserve workers’ rights, remove some of the bad things from this Trojan Horse bill and get something through that the people of Wisconsin could agree with and find a compromise with. That seemed to have been an affront. It seemed to have been a trick again on their part. If they wanted us back, they could have had us back. This was something where they intentionally deceived us.

Sheesh. Larson and company chose to run to shut down the vote, and every single day they chose to stay away to keep the vote from happening. Now that all that has backfired, they’re blaming the Republicans. Democrats like him really need to just man up once in a while.

Update: Remember when ObamaCare passed, and Tea Partiers went nuts, stormed the hill, took over the building and handcuffed themselves inside? Yeah, me neither, because the Tea Partiers are civilized and didn’t do any of that. Wisconsin’s leftist union thugs, not so much.

Meade called back to say, some of the doors are handcuffed shut and some are wide open. “ANYBODY CAN GET IN AND ANYBODY CAN BRING ANYTHING IN. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO SECURITY WHATEVER.”

If the police are being so lax in their security out of political spite, and someone gets hurt, well I don’t want to think about what follows that.

There are rumors that the unions in Wisconsin are going to call a general strike tomorrow — private sector unions and the government unions. That would be a suicidal move on their part, imho. Their best bet is to get out of that capitol building, challenge the legality of tonight’s vote and hope they get a liberal judge. General strikes will provoke Walker to start firing people in the public unions, and really bust up the public unions through legislation. He doesn’t strike me as someone who’s going to back down from anything, anytime soon.

Update: Michael Moore, noted rich union buster who makes his money decrying capitalism to a stupidly receptive leftist audience, declares war. I’m not usually one for playground insults and taunts, but I’ll make an exception in his case.

You want war? Bring it, Lardbutt. You are the biggest talking, good for nothing little piece of Communist filth this country has produced in decades. You suck up to backward brutes and thugs like Castro while you castigate the American engines of the world’s economy. You trash this country and our people and belittle our values every chance you get, you cynical black hole of a human being. The worst words I can think of are too good to use to describe you. You are a buffoon, a hypocrite, and really of no use to civilization whatsoever.

It does send ‘a tingle up my leg’ to dream of my clenched fists reverberating against the jowls of Michael Al-Moore, the man who put the word Lard in Lard *ss.

  2. 2. CraigZ

Please do not refer to union “rights”.
    They are union “privileges”.

  3. 3. Insufficiently Sensitive

They didn’t want the Democrats there. We thought we were talking, we thought we were having good discussions, we thought we were on our way to having a compromise

And all the time you THOUGHT you could sit in Illinois and prevent the operation of the Wisconsin legislature until they caved to your tantrums. Didn’t your parents ever teach you anything about adult behavior?

‘They didn’t want the Democrats there’. Sheesh. They’ve been asking and begging and cajoling for three weeks. This tactic of splitting the bill and passing part has been in the news for two of them. Enough is enough.

“Democrats like him really need to just man up once in a while.”

They don’t feel the need. They’re feminists!

Even more seriously, the time has come for the Wis. governor to roll out extradition orders against the fleebaggers.

  5. 5. Rob Crawford

If the public and private sector unions strike over this, the Republicans should make Wisconsin a right-to-work state.

  6. 6. proreason

If there isn’t a general strike, it would be evidence of supreme cowardice by the unions, wouldn’t it?

I mean, really, either the pantywaists are serious or not.

What about it, Union Thugs? Do you have any guts at all?

Of course, most of them are women, so the men will probably just get emotional about it and go with the girls to wimper in a corner somewhere.

“Black hole of a human being” I love that and plan to borrow it from you!

    • I guess that’s what you call a person who’s so dense he sucks all the light out of the room?

      • anona

No, a human black hole refers to someone so dense they suck all of the intelligence out of the room!

Democrats are idiots, sorry for the redundancy.

WI Democrats are not just idiotic, but they are LOSERS as well.

And now they are crybabies, SORE LOSER IDIOTS.

Not a good day to be a WI Democrat.

Hmmm, If I was Walker I’d wait a bit more, hoping the union police will keep on letting the the local and out of state Union thugs block the legislature from meeting or blocking the Republicans members from entering the capitol building. Then I’d continue slicing the baloney, cutting away at both the local and imported leftists. I’d keep the sturm and drang going as close to the next elections as I could without appearing wimpy. The longer it goes the more money and support it will cost the Democrats.
If for instance the legislature has to meet at someplace other than Madison then perhaps it could be justified in making someplace else the capitol city of Wisconsin, slice, slice, slice.

    • Milwaukee

Actually, moving the capitol away from Madison, and the University of Wisconsin at Madison, would be an excellent idea. How about Dells?

    Michael Moore after 9/11:

Many families have been devastated tonight. This just is not right. They did not deserve to die. If someone did this to get back at Bush, then they did so by killing thousands of people who DID NOT VOTE for him! Boston, New York, DC, and the planes’ destination of California–these were places that voted AGAINST Bush!

    Remember.

  11. 11. forrest

In regards to your statement on Michael Moore:

“…and really of no use to civilization whatsoever.”

How about “…A detriment to freedom and civilization, or a blight upon civilization?”

I believe that the filthy fat aristocratic lying scumbag rates far beyond simply of being “no use.”

  12. 12. chuck

What, only 80 mph? These guys aren’t serious. I mean, 80? Come on, that’s normal highway speed.

    • JSC

Agreed. Heck, even in Chicago with its 55 mph limit if you don’t do at least 75 you’re gonna get run over.

  13. 13. Hanoi Paris Hilton

C’mon, Bryan. Let it all hang out! Tell us what you really think of Michael Moore.

    TO: All
RE: Wisconsin State Senator Larson (D)….

….sounds like your typical political ‘jackass’. [NOTE: Double entendré, fully intended.]

If he REALLY wanted to be there, he wouldn’t have fled to Illinois with the rest of his herd-mentality Democrat senators. And his Republican associates in the state senate would have LOVED to have him there in the first place. But NOOOOOOO….Larson and the rest of his idiot Democrats, gutless people that they are, couldn’t stand to abide by the Law of the Land and do their elective duties. They pulled a Monty Python….

    RUN AWAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!

When they should be fufilling their democratically elected responsibilities.

    Regards,

    Chuck(le)
    [Democrat is a one-word oxymoron.]

If Tubbo thinks really wants a civil war, he might want to have another look at the correlation of forces as they really stand. The Right has almost all the guns, most of the veterans, most of the active duty military, and almost all of the food production. T’would be a *VERY* short war…

    • Randy

But the Left has Ben & Jerry’s. That should keep Moore’s wasteline up.

  16. HAH! What are the unions and fleebaggers going to do NOW? Shriek ‘THIS IS FOR THE CHILDREN!’ while holding Walker = Hitler/Mubarak signs? Bus in shiftless Teamster placeholders from out of state? Whine from an undisclosed municipality in Illinois? Threaten a recall?

Even if I was for moderation and compromise, witnessing the conduct of the 14 fleebaggers and the public employee unions who think they’re somehow exempt from hard times (on our dime) would’ve annhilated whatever benefit of the doubt I was willing to give to the Dems or unions.

If they’re going to howl like little poo-flinging monkeys, might as well make it worth your while and do what you set out to do….

  17. 17. LeighB

To build on what Fenway said, poo-flinging monkeys traveling at 80 miles an hour. I have to be honest, I was concerned when I heard the Governor offered a compromise. How wonderful to know his party had Plan B ready to go.

Regarding Michael Moore, doesn’t he have any friends in Hollywood who could get him on “The Biggest Loser”? Gee, even I’d tune in to see him do something other than run his mouth.

  18. 18. Allston

Leonardo DaVinci once wrote, “most men are of no use whatsoever, save as machines to turn perfectly good food into s***.”

Looks like Leo had Moore’s number, centuries early.

“If they wanted us back, they could have had us back. This was something where they intentionally deceived us.”

My ex wife used to make claims like this as she made completely unreasonable demands on my part to “work things out”. It took me too long to realize she had no intention of working things out. She was trying to wear me out and win.

Very passive-aggresive. Wisconsin is better off without the fleabaggers. Congrats to the Republicans for staying the course.

  20. 20. jsallison

Hmm, thought you were taking about Ted ‘Swimmer’ Kennedy, my bad. Agreed, on both, btw.

  21. 21. Willys

“WI Dem ‘drove 80 miles an hour’ to try to stop tonight’s vote..”

Hmmm, he should have left Illinois three weeks earlier.

  22. Democrats like him really need to just man up once in a while.

Democrats are not and cannot be men. They’re the boughten creatures of special interests. The last wholly honest, sincere Democrat was Grover Cleveland. I doubt there will ever be another.

  23. 23. A_Nonny_Mouse

” … it was pretty obvious they didn’t want to have anything to do with that. They didn’t want the Democrats there. We thought we were talking, we thought we were having good discussions, we thought we were on our way to having a compromise … ”
    ============================
No, they THOUGHT they were manipulating the Republicans into backing off on their plans to reduce the unions’ overwhelming power. “OK, just one more concession from you guys and this time, honest, we’ll come back and play by the rules, really we will…”

Did it occur to this genius that the place for “discussions” and “compromise” was back on the Wisconsin Senate floor, following whatever the normal parliamentary rules are for that body? “95% of life is just showing up”, as someone once said, and this pack of yahoos couldn’t even manage that much. These bought-and-paid union shills were NOT earnestly discussing and compromising long-distance, they were trying to thwart the democratic process. Shame on them all. They deserve to be fired, or recalled, or impeached, or whatever the proper term may be for “severed from their posts and denied all benefits due to their refusal to participate in good faith”.

I become more and more convinced that elected representatives (at both state and local levels) should be faced with serious jail time for wanton disregard of their duties. IMHO, these Wisconsin flee-baggers would qualify for such punishment, and so would the Democrats of both Houses of Congress who passed all those multi-thousand-page bills without having read them. (Actually, for those arrogant Dems in Washington who rammed massive bill after massive bill through both Houses with no discussion except “You stupid citizens will learn to love it”, I could be persuaded that THAT level of irresponsibility should be considered a capital crime…)
