Obama’s Key National Security Document Uncovered
August 22nd, 2011 - 1:02 am
A graduate student researching the Obama administration’s national security policy stumbled upon a key document at the White House website that clarifies, perhaps for the first time, precisely what Obama’s national security policy is.

Yes, I think you’re right: writing long and unctuous statements is Obama’s policy.
Is there any actual content in this crap? I’ve skimmed through it and there seems to be nothing of any significance – it’s like a mediocre BS college essay.
‘To effectively craft and implement a sustainable, results-oriented national security strategy, there must
be effective cooperation between the branches of government. This Administration believes that we
are strong when we act in line with our laws, as the Constitution itself demands. This Administration is
also committed to active consultation with Congress, and welcomes robust and effective oversight of its
national security policies. We welcome Congress as a full partner in forging durable solutions to tough
challenges, looking beyond the headlines to take a long view of America’s interests. And we encourage Congress to pursue oversight in line with the reforms that have been enacted through legislation,
particularly in the years since 9/11.’
It’s long, wordy bafflegab written in bad pompous English. It doesn’t describe a set of simple actions. If it isn’t President Obama’s National Security Policy then it may be Mr Toad’s from “Wind in the Willows.”
My apologies: When I posted the document it was blank. That was the joke.
For all that is strategic, or contributes to national security, it might as well still be blank.
That was my first thought when I saw the blank page, so I get your joke. Perusing the text, it is just a big pile of squishy jello-talk that Obeyme and Hillary can serve up at will.

Don’t worry–even with the words included it still is.
Brent Crude is south of $107 and going down and the Libyan lite crude will come on line again.
The markets are more important than Obamas foreign policy at this point.
The markets say that Lebanon and Syria are irrelevant to American fundamental interests.
Lebanon will do fine with its coming huge energy revenues and it will dominate financial/banking services in the region–third to the US and UK
Egypt, KSA, and to a lesser extent Libya and Iraq are very relevant.
The euphoria in Libya gives a lift to US/NATO interests in the developing United Arab States.
It could all go native–but the nascent United Arab States–a Federal System–is inevitable –and good for American interests if it supports free markets and trade
– which looks most likely–as the leaders went to American/UK economic and business schools–rather than Moscow schools–which was the pattern in the past.
China is the main thing.
Stoner Profundity
Barack Obongathon ….”what if the stoners made policy”, the National Security version.
Most people have overlooked this one, while concentrating on “what if the stoners made policy”, the Economy/fiscal version.
Of course, if you get so wasted while writing it, you get statements like “you’re going to have to wait until it’s passed to find out what’s in it” or “what do you mean it lost 97-0?” or…”I’ll turn it in next month after I chill on Martha’s Vineyard for a few weeks.”
Well, I would not feel so all alone, everybody must get stoned.
It’s written in a dialect of English commonly known as ”Bullshit” ……
I don’t speak this dialect but Obama & his collegues are specialists, as are most politicians. A similar dialect exists in most languages.
Obama doesn’t merely speak it, he thinks in it.
I could not read more than a few pages of it. It was total blather, devoid of meaningful content.
What you have to remember about Obama is that his 2 year period as Senator and his term as president is literally the only real job experience he has. His resume is indeed “thin”, and thats putting it charitably. It is only to be expected that anything he writes is going to be devoid of real content.
Do you think he actually wrote it? When, while waiting for someone to play through on the 8th hole while his golf cart was being fixed? It is total crap, but at least someone had to write it ans spell check it, and a few of the sentences are grammatically correct.
No this has all the markings of a sculpted document – one handed to an undergraduate, who then adds his or her personal touch – bloviations – so as to avoid plagiarism charges and / or hide the fact that it was bought from some local grad student / crack head.
