Eric Cantor Gives AIPAC Delegates a Lesson on which Political Party Really Supports Israel and America’s Alliance with the Jewish state.
Last night AIPAC delegates heard one of the most important presentations given at a plenary session, although this morning, the major papers seem to not have reported on it. I’m referring to the address by Rep. Eric Cantor, which you can watch here and read here. The House majority leader, a Republican member of Congress from Virginia, received a huge ovation that far exceeded anything received by President Barack Obama, although a large part of AIPAC’s delegates are undoubtedly registered Democrats.
In a heartfelt and moving presentation, Cantor succeeded in exposing the deep flaws in President Obama’s earlier speech — he was careful not to mention his name, although everyone knew to whom he was addressing his remarks.
Here is what he had to say about the issue of Iran’s fundamental threat:
Yet today the two-thousand-year-old dream of the state of Israel is in jeopardy. There is no other nation on Earth so routinely denied its right to exist and threatened with destruction.
Recent developments in the region have moved Iran out of the headlines, but it is undeniable: the specter of a nuclear Iran looms larger than ever.
We must never take our eye off Iran. And that’s why Congress will soon pass the bipartisan Iran Threat Reduction Act, making it official U.S. policy to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons capability.
Plain and simple, if you do business with Iran, you cannot do business with America.
To great applause, Cantor said:
It is not okay to vilify Israel. It is not okay to demonize Jews. And it’s time to stop scapegoating Israel.
And to those who equate Palestinian refusal to negotiate with Israel’s necessary measures it takes to defend itself, the majority leader added:
In order for us to win this great struggle, we must have the courage to see the world not as we wish it to be, but as it truly is. It is not morally equivalent when the offenses of terrorists are equated with the defenses of Israel.
Undoubtedly, his most well-received moment was when he addressed the president’s own illusions. Cantor first noted that Palestinian culture — which Obama omitted criticizing — is laced with “resentment and hatred.” Cantor then shrewdly rebuked Obama:
[Palestinian culture is] the root of the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. It is not about the ’67 lines. And until Israel’s enemies come to terms with this reality, a true peace will be impossible … If the Palestinians want to live in peace in a state of their own, they must demonstrate that they are worthy of a state.
He boldly laid out a challenge to Abbas, noting that his media and schools regularly preach hatred of Israel as well as Jews as a people. His following remarks received an ovation:
Stop naming public squares and athletic teams after suicide bombers. And come to the negotiating table when you have prepared your people to forego hatred and renounce terrorism — and Israel will embrace you. Until that day, there can be no peace with Hamas. Peace at any price isn’t peace; it’s surrender.
Clearly alluding to the president, Cantor then said that friendship between Israel and the U.S. has to be based on reality, “not just on rhetoric.” While words come and go, “only deeds count.”
And with another slap at the president, he remarked: “Now is the time to lead … from the front.”

Well it’s either the Republicans or the Teutonic Shaft. Wake up AIPAC!
Over the past 30 years, I’ve been completely unable to comprehend the blind support of Democrats by the Jewish community. I’ve heard over and over that Israel is the bad guy from Democrats, and yet American Jews support he democratic candidate in every Presidential election. Boggles the mind.
Well that may change for 2012.
Some of this is intellectualism. Jews like to be seen as intellectual. The good side of that is Jews tend to be attracted to school and do well in school. The downside is they like to identify with other perceived intellectuals. This, to them, means the Northeast and particularly NYC. I know does not make sense but a brilliant person with a Southern accent seems stupid to North-easterners. They are more susceptible to stereotypes than the rest of us. Their regional bias’ contribute to the blindness of the idiocy of liberal thought. If NYer are liberals, how can it be misguided? Group think.
Does not the same theory apply to “party think” wherein party success outranks patriotism? Does there exist any professional, social, or political organization that does not exhibit their accepted marked neurotic tendencies with self serving actions revealing only cosmetic character void of rational insight? While paranoia protects such groups from input of undeniable truth one can only expect a “least of two evils” result. Both elephants and mules can be led to the Tea Party Trough of common sense but who can make them drink? Fear of hearing out an unknown must be considered irrational when certain national death is guaranteed by silver tongued orators directing misinformed voters on MSM TV.
Amen brother…
Walt: Do you find it easier to understand African-American support for Democrats? The party that gave the black community Detroit and other wonders of failed government? All of this boggles the mind.
Want your mind boggle some more?
The Jews were some of the first to march in the Civil Rights movement in support of the blacks, their lawyers fought for the blacks before they were called African Americans. At least two were lynched. Arab Muslims discriminate black muslims in Muslim countries and kill black muslims in Sudan. Yet blacks support Muslims (Farrakhan) and denigrate Jews (Hymietown).
I guess envy and jealousy are the most potent poison against the Jews.
This is what happens when Liberal Americans of Jewish Descent vote for a Muslim POTUS.
American liberals, metro jews. All the same. It’s plain old Psych 101 self hate.
With a biased media at the reins, the amount of damage that can be done to our country is truly amazing. We will have to convince more than just the Jewish voters in the coming year.
That can be explained very simply…the Jewish vote by and large sees itself as an anti-Christian vote.
Jews vote against Christians, that’s the only explanation.
Note that Palin was the one GOP figure who’s gone to Israel in recent history. She gets how strategic it is, both in a political and a cultural sense. She gets it.
Jeffrey Goldberg – not an anti-Zionist – sees things quite differently from Ronnie.
“President Obama didn’t “insist” that Israel return to its 1967 borders.
“He said the 1967 borders should form the basis of negotiations, and that Israel and Palestine should swap land, land swaps that would bring settlement blocs and East Jerusalem Jewish neighborhoods into Israel proper.”
“Obama has thrown Israel under a bus? Top officials of the Israeli defense ministry have been telling me, and other reporters, for a couple of years now that military cooperation between their country and America has never been better.”

To the victor go the spoils. Isn’t that the whole point about losing a war? Israel giving up their hard won land would be like America giving the Southwest states back to Mexico. They lost: Tough. Sh!t. Isn’t That the whole incentive not to start a war, or not lose the one you’ve started, if you do lose… better hope for mercy.
The Arab-Israeli conflict operates under different rules, don’t you know. The Jews aren’t allowed to win, and the Arabs aren’t allowed to lose. And if the latter suffer a major set-back, the push is to return things as they were, giving the Arabs a “do over”. After the Cast Lead operation of 2008-09, Clinton organized another of those “donors conferences” to make Gaza whole after the beat-down they suffered, even though it was a war they provoked. And the international community makes certain Gaza has all the food, supplies, electricity and fuel they need as they prepare for the next round.
American IS giving California and other parts back to Mexico.
NEWS FLASH!! NEWS FLASH!!!
Al Jazeera English channel is reporting broad support for Obama in the Arab World. The revolutionary leaders of the resistances in Tunisia, Bahrain, Syria, Egypt, and even now Libya have come together and issued coordinated communiques expressing joy and relief that President Obama has tied their struggles to Israel-Palestinian issue. The revolutionary leaders now have full faith in Obama and America and are putting down arms and accepting dictators in order to focus on the greater struggle, as Obama has emphasized, the ultimate struggle fighting over lines on a map in the West Bank and ignoring what Palestinians really say.
“Peace at any price isn’t peace; it’s surrender.”
Go Cantor.
There are an awful lot of liberals who think the USA should go back to the 1848 borders. What after all is the unfettered illegal immigration but a default way to return the Southwest to Mexico? If Democrats won’t respect OUR borders how can we expect them to respect Israel’s borders.
Israel should think about a moat with alligators. Hungry alligators.
You are correct!
The US had the opportunity to take Baja with the Treaty of Guadalupe Hildago. If they had, Baja would be solid resorts and developed property instead of the trash heap it has become.
Liberals love trash heaps…..
“There are an awful lot of liberals who think the USA should go back to the 1848 borders.” How about the pre-1776 borders?
There are an awful lot of liberals feel loss without the Queen. They called the Kennedys American royalties, Hollywood big mouths Hollywood royalties. They love to be subjugated to tin pot dictators, such as Fidel, Mao. Do you remember Carter said our Independence War was a mistake, Canada got her independence without a revolution? Liberals are too weak-kneed to stand up to bullies.
This president loves dishing it out when the other side can’t talk back. I wonder how he likes taking it in the chops for a change.
American Jews have been drinking the kool aide of progressive thought for so long that I don’t believe they vote for anyone other then one of their own, that is a progressive. Every time Barry says something that might possibly be interpreted as upsetting to the American Jewish community he immediately makes another speech which totally contradicts what he previously said but soothes the ruffled feathers of the Jews and they fall back into line….sheeple. I thought Jews were supposed to be so damned smart.
They not just drinking it, they are manufacturing the Cool aid. Jews are the heart and soul of liberalism. Unfortunately non-Jewish liberals don’t like Israel. That’s a conundrum. But on all the rest of the issues like unions, taxes, education etc, Jews are very liberal. Actually borderline Marxists. It’s weird, But we have to protect Israel and Jews without the help of…. well Jews.
i mean “kool aide”, haha sorry
I wondr if the Palestinian’s would be willing to give back land to Israel had a protion of the country been lost during the ’67 war? I don’t think so. What benefit has Israel seen as a result of giving Gaza back…thousands of rocket attacks. Bumper sticker of the day “Why do American Jews hate Israel”.
Jack – When 78% of American Jews vote for Obama in 2008, even though it was obvious to anyone who could see what Obama was about, I have to say that they are willfully blind. I daresay, that a majority will vote for Obama again in 2012 because they will continue to be willfully blind. The Kool-Aid of faux liberalism will do that to you.
If the U.S. were in Israel’s situation, we’d already have given back Texas, California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Colorado. Far from getting credit for it, we’d be facing international obloquy for hanging onto the Oklahoma Panhandle. The fact that Israel has voluntarily withdrawn from 90 percent of her 1967 conquests should be emphasized every time the subject comes up. Too many forget it.
American Jews suffer from the illusion the German Jews suffered when Hitler took
over. They can’t mean us, after all we have assimilated long ago. We are more
German than the Germans. He must mean those other Jews. This is by far the most
anti-Semitic administration in American history (It is also the most anti-American one).Look who Obama associated with and still does. American Jews
that FDR was a great president despite the fact of refusing Jewish immigration
and refusing to bomb the railroads to the concentration camps. Republican presidents were far more supportive of Israel than Democrat presidents.
I agree with you completely. I am a Holocaust survivor and I see the parallels between Hitler´s policy and that of Obama.
I didn´t vote for Obama and I will never vote for him. Idon´t think I would vote for a Democrat, but I will never vote for Ron or Rand Paul either. They are as antisemitic as Obama.
I am very sorry that there are so few people who vote for Mr.John Bolton. He is a good Republican and he really understands the problem in the Middle East and even in the domestic politics.
News flash for Obama. There was no peace WITH the 67 borders. It is not about land-it is about Israel’s right to exist. Does anyone really think is Israel went to the 67 borders today, there would be peace…please…… Any Jewish person that votes for BO has to really look deep inside. What more do you need to know.
Interesting discussion. You should post this as a policy proposal on http://www.whitehousevoice.com
Any Jew who is willing to vote for B.Hussein Obama in 2012 need his/hers brain examined.
Leo they need their brain removed. they damned sure dont use it,
Sorry but a new procedure known an “Obotomy” cant be accepted by obamacare.
Jews will still vote liberal. Just like every other minority. Get over it.
Among all my Jewish friends only one of them is conservative. The rest are very liberal but curiously enough only superficially interested in the details of politics. And they are all very vocal about how conservatives are awful people. They have a VERY deep rooted identity as liberals. And they are always very vocal about how awful I am supporting the likes of Sarah Palin, Bush, Chris Christie etc.
Jews are NOT going to shift to being conservative for the next 200 years or ever.
It depends on which Jews you speak to. As you go from less observant to more observant, you will see the pendulum shift towards more anti-Obama. I know at least some observant Jews that voted for him in 2008 who will not vote for him in 2012. Nonetheless, they are so committed to faux liberalism that they may not vote for the Republican candidate either.
They will remain Democratic supporters until Obama builds gas chambers in Gaza.
I can tell you without an iota of a doubt that Jews are becoming significantly more conservative in the state of Israel. Secular diaspora Jews, on the other hand, appear to be a different matter. Nonetheless, in spite of their desire to be “good” and “fit in”, the link to Israel also matters and my impressions are that they (American Jews) are waking up. It’s not so much the “Jewish vote” which is so important but their influence on others and the funds which they can bring to respective campaigns.
US Jews are (still) liberals, not Jews. Israeli Jews are not and they are the future – meaning: they have a lot of kids. And even in the US, the only Jews with a future are the Orthodox and they are conservatives.
I agree that I, a non-American Jew, can’t understand why US Jews are so liberals. I does not make sense. When I speak with them it sounds more like a religion than a rationally based opinion. And they even link it to Judaism which is funny knowing that: 1. they themselves know nothing at all about Judaism and don’t really care, 2. Judaism is certainly not conservative in the Christian way but certainly not “liberal” at all on most issues.
I think the weird “Reform Judaism” whatever it is, is to blame for it. The fact that is never took roots outside USA (it came originally from Germany I know) tells a lot.
I’ve been thinking about that too. What scares me is that the American Jewish leadership is not willing to take a stand against Obama in favor of Israel. The only major organization that criticized Obama’s Thursday speech was the Zionist Organization of America. ADL picked out the positive bits (Obama’s concessive lines) as did the AJC. AIPAC didn’t say anything at all lest it offend its keynote speaker. This is part of how the Holocaust happened – the Jewish leadership didn’t want to offend the Roosevelt Administration so it accepted FDR’s lip service about helping Jewish refugees and did absolutely nothing to fight the State Department’s policies of failing to issue even the paltry number of visas available under the quotas. Let alone trying to mobilize opinion against the genocide which, by the way, was reported from time to time in the New York Times and other media. They didn’t want to arouse animosity against themselves, you see.
But the fact of the matter is that the State Department is and always has been a cesspool of anti-Semitism. And now it gets to express that in its policies toward the State of Israel.
“Israel giving up their hard won land would be like America giving the Southwest states back to Mexico. They lost: Tough. Sh!t.”
As I’ve pointed out quite a few times, the problem is demographic. There were not a whole lot of Mexicans living in the territory conquered from Mexico. There are, however, upwards of four million Arabs in the West Bank, and Israel cannot incorporate them into their nation without losing its Jewish majority and its Jewish character.
Deal with it.
markus – there are most likely not four million Arabs in the West Bank and Gaza. It is probably closer to 2.5 million, not a small number, but not the 4 million found in Arab stats. That’s because Muslims have no trouble lying to the infidel, and they have no trouble fudging the statistics they present to the infidel. See “The Politics of Palestinian Demography,” by Yakov Faitelson in the Middle East Quarterly, Spring 2009, pp. 51-59.
Pay no attention to toads like markus who compare Israel to Nazi Germany.
“marcus”, besides doing some demographic research, you would do well to do other simple research including reading the Fatah and Hamas Charters and, afterwards, report to us on what you have found.
More jews will abandon Obama than many people think, but not as may need to. On the other hand, jews have always been blind to reality. Had they not been so, they would have fought the Nazis. This is not just something I am writing today. If you read history, you will see that this is true. Even when confronted with the facts by escapees from Auschwitz, Jewish ruling commissions refused to believe what was happening.
Common sense would suggest that Jews would turn from Barack Obama. But if you look at the history of Jewish voting in this country and on polling on important issues, American Jews are unfortunately just the party of the “Daily Show’s John Stewart.” They overwhelmingly vote Democrat and there is only one GOP member in Congress I believe (Cantor of course) who is Jewish. Most of them are “reformed”, secular and irreligious, referencing Judaism in a cultural/traditional instead of religious sense. American Jews are very much social liberals and strongly oppose intervention in the Middle-East.
The GOP supports Israel on principle, not because they will win votes off of this support; it may seem like a “pro-Israel” stance is good politically (and it is in Republican circles), but in reality hoping that American Jews turn from Obama is wishful thinking; they have proven to be sheep easily herded by Democrats since the early 1900′s.
The small pro-Israel lobby (amongst actual Jews in America) has a much larger voice than the silent majority of Jews who really couldn’t care less about their ancient homeland. Shame we can’t assimilate the Southwest as well as or as quickly as we somehow assimilated the Jews.
“blind to reality”, Tex? You need to visit Israel, especially those places (Yishuveem) east of the Green Line. You’d be surprised, perhaps pleasantly so, about how realistic Jews are.
Always remember, progressives are progressives first, everything else second. Progressive women will throw abused women under the bus to protect a progressive leader. Progressive Jews will ignore building danger to Israel to support a progressive leader. Progressive enviro-weenies will forgive Al Gore his giant mansion and private jet to support the the progressive leader.
They stand for the movement much more than they stand for ideals. They laugh when conservatives are caught cheating on their wives. “Look’ they say,”they are such hypocrites! They talk of family values then sleep around”.
The difference is that when someone on the right is caught being a hypocrite he is shunned and falls from power. Hypocrites on the left are generally supported and forgiven. That assumes that progressive supporters acknowledge the hypocrisy at all.
The movement above stated values.
The movement above logic.
The movement above facts.
The movement… even above your own safety.
It is not surprising that Jews want to turn away from the horror of an American President whose policies would bring forth another holocaust-not just in the Middle East but around the world. Right now the world is aware that even if Israel should fall to the enemies of the Jewish people the cost would be that not one blade of grass would remain alive on the planet. In other words, this time the fate of the Jewish children would be the fate of their own children.
Jewish people are, by culture, students-and students are consumed with words. But those who would save Israel and the West must look beyond words to actions. The President’s actions around the world and in the American economy say it all. He actions are geared to the defeat and destruction of America and the West.
Your absolutely right to compare the actions of Palestinian “terrorists” to the actions of Isreali “defenders” who kill 100 times as many civilians would be unfair. What the Israelis do is official, legal and they wear uniforms therefore they are morally right. Mostly they just push buttons that launch missiles that kill innocent children from a safe distance, this makes them civilized, they never have to look the people they kill in the face
Uh, huh… 100 times?.. your religious hatred is showing there bub.
Of course the Muslim terrorists call people in the strike zone on their private cell numbers to warn them to grab their kids and get out too…. right?
You equate the thug with a gun to a childs head, with the father of the child shooting the thug?
You wouldn’t believe how contempable that is to normal people.
“Peace at any price isn’t peace; it’s surrender.”
Well done Mr. Cantor.
WWJD? If Jesus were alive today would he support International Jewry?
There’s a mistaken notion among commenters here that American Jewry on average are politically savvy and up-to-date. Wrong! Exceptions are duly noted, but the bulk live in a secularized and constrained, self-absorbed little society. They rely on big media for an occasional glimpse at the outside and are forever wed to the inherited world-view of their fore-bearers. The majority will be unthinking democrats forever. Its just life. The sun comes up and goes down. Modern Jews are uncomfortable with what “others” say about Israel. Many just wish it would go away without any blame being placed on them.
The American Jewish community ought to learn more from Ayn Rand and less from Karl Marx (both Jews btw).
I came here to read about Eric Cantor’s speech. I am not a Republican – I consider myself a pragmatist with a left lean. I’ve been disillusioned with the President since the Health Care bill – for reasons that I’m sure are different than the reasoning of folks who are gathered here. While I liked what Cantor has to say, I do not like what I’m reading in the comments. If you want Jewish Democrats to move away from the Democratic party in order to support Israel, you’re going to have to give us a bit more comfortable welcome. When I started reading the comments from folks who are just slash-and-burning Jewish liberals, I know I can’t walk among you guys either. Keep disparaging your left-leaning bretheren and Jews like me will stay simply to avoid all the toxic negativity being tossed at us in places like this one.
Why do you need a “comfortable welcome?” Maybe you should stop pouting and just do the right thing.
Actually I am tired for reading jew this and jew that. I understand the connection this website has with jews, but really. Why spend so much energy trying to analyze what cannot be analyzed-just like trying to decipher Odummer.
American jews have chosen their bed and now they must lay in it. I fully support Israel, but I have completely given up on American(?) jews. For all the talk about their supposed intelligence, American jews are dumber than a box of rocks. Or they lack the ability to discern and see good vs. bad and right vs wrong. They have helped ruin our nation. Either way, good riddance.
America is not ruined! It has a great people and is resilient enough to overcome a terrible president.
What’s with the “?” after American. Are you saying Jews aren’t Americans? And what’s with the “good riddance”???
I’m an Israeli, American, Jewish Republican, and I too wish more American Jews would wake up and stop automatically supporting the left, but your post wasn’t helpful. It was unnecessarily nasty, and it probably will influence people in the wrong direction.
To be fair, House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer gave a speech which although not as eloquent as Majority Leader Canter’s speech was just as opposed to much that the President had said. Of course, he omitted the partisan shots, but he gave no support for the Presidents weak support of Israel.
And Monday night, Harry Reid also rejected any talk of 67 borders. I think there is a reason the President has tried to walk back his Thursday comment as if it was nothing new. He has very little support even in his own party for his attempt to pressure Israel to compensate for the problems in the Arab world.
blotto,
Jewish people, in general, as a whole, have contributed very much to the well-being of this country (The United States of America).
The reason why the subject of the country of the Jewish people, Israel, and, therefore, actions by Jewish people, and actions by non-Jewish people toward Jewish people, are being so prominently discussed on this website, is because there is currently an Islamic supremacist, and colluding, in some cases witting, and in other cases unwitting, Western, racist genocidal anti-Jewish movement in the world aiming to annihilate Israel (and to, subsequently, destroy all free democratic societies), and some American Jewish people, including the people who are the founders of this web site, and including many of the people who are contributors to this web site, have, to varying degrees, woken up from the Stockholm syndrome that almost all Jewish people are experiencing to varying degrees, and that, for hundreds of years, almost all Jewish people experienced to varying degrees, and because the Jewish people who are the founders of this web site, and the Jewish people who are contributors to this web site, are trying to prevent a genocide of the the people of Israel.
I am enraged at very many of my fellow human beings who are Jewish. My fellow human beings who are Jewish who I am enraged at are those who are destroying their own people, the Jewish people, and who, in the process of doing so, are contributing very much to destroying the world.
However, much of the reason why they are doing so is because they are experiencing a deep profound form of Stockholm syndrome that is a result of their experiencing being a member of a tiny ethnic and cultural social group that, for over two thousand years, have been envied, and resented, and hated, and falsely accused of horrific crimes, and repeatedly mass-murdered, and continuously treated with intransigent contempt. I, myself, experienced, to a degree, this deep profound form of Stockholm syndrome.
Have you ever experienced being thought of, by most of your fellow members of society, as being a member of what most of your fellow members of society think of as being an evil abstract group entity whose members are thought of, by most of your fellow members of society, as being responsible, for all time, collectively, as a group, of having killed the deity of the religion of most of your fellow members of society, which is a religion that is a usurpation of the traditional religion of the ethnic and cultural social group to which you belong, and which is a religion – the religion of most of your fellow members of society – whose central tenet is the worship, as a deity, of a member of the ethnic and cultural social group to which you belong, and who was one of the hundreds of thousands of the members of the ethnic and cultural social group to which you belong who were killed by the original adopters and modifiers of that religion?
The main, and most beneficial, principal of Jewish culture, is the beneficial principal of aversion to injustice.
The modern culturally European “Egalitarian” ideology and political movement was originally developed in France in the early 1800′s by ethnically European, ethnically non-Jewish, culturally Christian-European, post-Christian, people. Adherence to the modern culturally European “Egalitarian” ideology and political movement involves sanctimonious romantic worship and protection and projection of one’s own view of one’s own self-identity, and involves desire to be a member of a homogenous social group, and involves dishonest projection of altruism. The modern culturally European “Egalitarian” ideology and political movement is, in essence, a secular non-theistic form of Christianity: a set of perverse wrong views that are usurpations of, and perversions of, the main, and most beneficial, principal of Jewish culture, which is the beneficial principal of aversion to injustice.
The most influential developer of the modern culturally European “Egalitarian” ideology and political movement was Karl Marx, who was an ethnically Jewish-European misanthropic anti-Jewish racist who was the son of an ethnically Jewish-European Christian convert.
Almost all of those of my fellow human beings who are Jewish who are destroying their own people and who, in the process of doing so, are destroying the world, do not, unlike very many non-Jewish people about and toward the Jewish people, hold malicious wrong views about, nor feel malice toward, any non-Jewish peoples, and almost all of those of my fellow human beings who are Jewish who are destroying their own people and who, in the process of doing so, are destroying the world are not, unlike very many non-Jewish people to the Jewish people, trying to destroy any non-Jewish peoples.
I would appreciate understanding and kindness and patience, from my fellow human beings who are not Jewish, toward my fellow human beings who, like myself, are Jewish.
Re: Rand Paul — he’s a far better man than his dad, at least.
Did you see his fiery smackdown of Obama for treating Israel like sh*t?
Check it out:
http://weaselzippers.us/2011/05/20/rand-paul-obama-insisting-israel-give-up-its-land-security-and-sovereignty-is-arrogance-unmatched/
Is there something in the Jewish people’s DNA that would cause them to blindly support Obama……no matter what he does? Why are they so enthralled with him?
The majority of African-Americans will support him based on color alone. While not meaning this as a racist comment, they will not look at his actions, only his color and his rhetoric.
You keep saying it’s as unlikely for Isreal to give up more land as for the US to give up California and the South West. Haven’t you noticed we’re doing just that? viz. La Raza and the Arizona Border?
I was one of the first to post a comment under this article and the system still says that my comment is awaiting moderation.
A long string of comments follow mine. Are they awaiting approval as well?
Your article today expands on the same topic I addressed here. Other people, in this case, Jeff Goldberg (not an anti-Zionist) read Obama’s speech way differently than you. That deserves to be published.
The blind support of Jews to the Democrat party only has one equal: That is the blind support that Israel has from the Republicans. Ironic isn’t it? The Democrats can take for granted that they will get the Jewish vote in November of any year…and Israel takes for granted that it always has the support of the Republicans whether they are in the majority or the minority. That won’t likely change because being a Democrat is woven into the fabric of the American Jew just as it is with blacks. Likewise, conservative and Republicans have a religious kinship with Israel and the Jews which is woven into their faith. The Democrats screw the Jews and the Jews screw the Republicans….what a world we live in……
So, does anyone else think that Eric Cantor would make a good President?
Compared to what we now have as a president, I would have to say yes he certainly would, even a cartoon character like Foghorn Leghorn would!
Obama says to the middle east conference “we must return to the pre-1967 borders”; the main stream media, typically, reacted “how could Obama do this, without conferring with Bibi Netanyahou? Bibi comes to America, and allegedly gave Mr. Obama a “dressing down” – We cannot return to the 1967 borders, they are indefensible; MSM goes nuts – How could BIbi show such disrespect for Obama? Obama then speaks to the liberal arm of American Jews, and repeats what he said in Syria; the MSM is having a field day, calling for interviews with every Jew in America. Media blitz!!! On monday, what was the top news story? Give up? The newAmerican Idol is . . . . . .(who cares?) The members of the European Union voted unanimously to support Barack Obama’s position regarding the Israeli/Palestinian border. We then must look at the obvious, drag the American Jew with us, kicking and screaming, and remind them that neither Fatah or Hammas accepts the accepts or agrees to “The right of Israel to even exist” Shalom
It is time for the Palestinians to go to their friends and ask them for a homeland. To ask a small country that they detest to give them a homeland is partly diversion and partly a wish to annihilate the State. Why not ask Saudi Arabia or Syria or any of the many countries that they seem to like for a homeland. To ask Israel is absurd, if not laughable. I applaud Netanyahu for his brave speeches and obviously thoughtful presentations. I think he mentioned that the Palestinians have lobbed several thousand rockets and bombs into Israel, while they reject the idea of recognizing Israel’s Right to Exist. The idea of going back to before-war boundaries is another absurd idea. Would we not laugh at anyone who asked us to go back to pre-war borders, say pre Civil War or pre War with England. Who asks people who have fought and died to return to pre-war boundaries? Another absurd idea, meant to destroy ajcountry, not solve a problem.
Thank you.
Ron, I hope so. The problem is Lee Rosenberg is a Chicago bundler for Obama and Alan Solow is as well. In Chicago, politics is the only religion and AIPAC has become irrelevant. Ditto ADL. Eric Cantor speech was great and I am huge fan. What we all need to do, as a grassroots community, is defund the United Nations once and for all. http://wwwtwosetsofbooks.blogspot.com/2011/05/breaking-israel-no-longer-civilization.html
It’s singularly about GLOBAL control and clearly b hussein o is in favor of a caliphate ~ a shiite caliphate. Soros only cares to destroy the U.S. whereas b hussein o will use the resources of the U.S.to accompolish his objective, ie. the SHIITE caliphate. Let us not forget what Hitler used HIS railcars for.
KILL THE INFIDELS
At least Cantor can talk straight. If the Palestinian Arabs had been more pragmatic instead of fighting on after all was clearly lost, they would have had their own country years ago and bigger than it will ever be now.
People often think a leader is good to follow if they advocate for you. Well, Yassir Arafat advocated for the PA and he was the worse thing to happen to them after 1948 outside of military conflict.
The Palestinian Arabs live in a fantasy world where nothing they do is ever wrong and I mean nothing. How they have managed to gain the sympathy of so much of the world can only be attributed to a false history of events that is far different from what actually happened.
As for the right of return, the 750,000 PA supposed ousted match up nicely with about the same number of Jews who left, forcibly and otherwise, Morroco to Yemen. Let those former Jewish assets be given to the PA with a hearty handshake and good luck. Voila! No more refugees.
