Obama Big Loser in Zimmerman Trial

July 13th, 2013 - 9:48 pm

Forget the over-zealous prosecutors and the repellent state attorney Angela Corey (who should be immediately disbarred or, my wife said sarcastically, elevated to director of Homeland Security) and even the unfortunate Trayvon Martin family (although it is certainly hard to forget them — they have our profound sympathies), the true loser at the Zimmerman trial was Barack Obama.

By injecting himself in a minor Florida criminal case by implying Martin could be his son, the president of the United States — a onetime law lecturer, of all things — disgraced himself and his office, made a mockery of our legal system and exacerbated racial tensions in our country, making them worse than they have been in years. This is the work of a reactionary, someone who consciously/unconsciously wants to push our nation back to the 1950s.

It is also the work of a narcissist who thinks of himself first, of his image, not of black, white or any other kind of people. It’s no accident that race relations in our country have gone backwards during his stewardship.

Congratulations to the jury for not acceding to this tremendous pressure and delivering the only conceivable honest verdict. This case should never have been brought to trial. It was, quite literally, the first American Stalinist “show trial.” There was, virtually, no evidence to convict George Zimmerman. It was a great day for justice that this travesty was finally brought to a halt.

We all know Al Sharpton, the execrable race baiter of Tawana Brawley and Crown Heights, agitated publicly for this trial more than anyone else. But he most likely would not have succeeded had it not been for Obama’s tacit support. As far as I know this is unprecedented in our history (a president involving himself in a trial of this nature).

The media also followed Obama (as they always do) by enabling the demagogue Sharpton, as if he were a serious person. The media, as I wrote before, treated this case like pornography, something to be exploited, giving it all sorts of racial import it didn’t have. The New York Times, acting like true reactionaries of the Obama era (how can we use the word “liberal” with these people?), even went so far as to invent the term “white Hispanic” to fit the case. The National Enquirer couldn’t have done it better. (I take it back. The Enquirer behaves more ethically.)

The irony is that the people who suffer most from the media behaving in this manner are black people who are manipulated into acting as an interest group when they have no interest. They are literally victims of the media and of Obama.

Of course, they aren’t the only ones. Almost everyone is a victim in in this case that should never have been tried. George Zimmerman will never live a normal life. The American public has been polarized with emotions stirred up for absolutely no reason. Racism is essentially manufactured, as if it were a commodity.

A further irony is that recent polls have shown racism in our culture at all-time lows. You don’t hear that from the media or from our administration, however. This knowledge is not to their advantage.

As I type this article, I am listening to Geraldo, on the post-verdict show, nattering on about the possibility of the Justice Department initiating a civil rights prosecution of Zimmerman. If that happens, the Obama administration will have outdone itself in the creation of racism. The shame continues.

"This is the work of a reactionary, someone who consciously/unconsciously wants to push our nation back to the 1950s."

How he looks is a common Obama theme, even bringing it up in at least one big speech on his recent sojourn to Europe..."I'll bet you guys didn't expect to see leaders like Angela Merkel and me..." (paraphrased)

(I'm sure he mentioned Merkel as a throw away line, to make it look like he wasn't just tooting his own horn. And no there was never a Golda Meir or a Margaret Thatcher before the Age of Obama, when everything began)

Obama reveals his insecurity, and his obsession, each time he makes a comment like that, and the stupid Trayvon remark was in keeping with his small, completely self-absorbed temperament.

Out of his depth in this job is the understatement of the year.

I first noticed the parallel between Obama and Hitler during the 2008 Dem Convention in Denver. It was so 1938 Nuremberg. The soaring yet empty rhetoric, the big lies repeated and repeated until they became common knowledge, the glassy eyed adoring throng chanting not "Sieg Heil" but "Yes We Can". Obama's authoritarian rule thus far would make Adolf proud. But in time, Adolf fell, as will Obama. As his world crumbled around him, Hitler took the whole of Germany down with him. I fear Obama is setting the table to do the same thing here.

The shame does continue with ill-informed opinions expressed in this column, but not unexpected by the demonizers on both the right and left. Most will agree that the case was difficult for the prosecution, given the laws on self-defense, the ability to carry a concealed weapon, and that precisely what happened and when in the altercation between the two rests is known to only two people--and one is dead; and the other provides various versions. The sad part is that nothing would have happened if Zimmerman had acted as neighborhood watch persons are suppose to do; alert authorities; do not intervene but wait for the police; do not carry a gun. Zimmerman didn't and his record while on neighborhood watch duty portrays someone seeing potential crime in everyday situations. The time Zimmerman spots Martin it is 7:19 in the evening which everyone knows is the perfect time for criminal activity when everyone is home, with lights on, and alert. The jury did what they were instructed according to the law, and certainly some degree of reasonable doubt was present. Too bad for all; one is dead, and the other will have to live with his conscience on his actions....

If Obama had stayed out of it and if his administration were not racist, he would be unaffected.

I hope that this issue and all the others related with the actions and reactions of this administration will serve as an example of how easy it is to destroy a democracy by electing a President through ignorance and indifference .

The leader of the world involved in such trivial issues, unbelievable .

Here is a thought for the DOJ. There were two brutal murders committed in Chicago back in 2007-08, the victims were two black homosexuals, both close associates and friends of Barack H. Obama and both members of the church Obama and Michelle attended. There has been no justice there for the families of Obama's friends, the crimes are still unsolved. There is a strong possibility that the crimes were "hate" crimes for crying out loud. The two men have names, Donald Young and Larry Bland, Young was a close enough friend of the President that he was asked to serve on Obama's campaign team. He just so happened to be investigating the allegations made by Larry Sinclair when he was blasted. The media dropped this incident like a very hot potato.

Why hasn't Obama had a "beer summit" for those two families so that he could declare that the Chicago police are "acting stupidly" in not solving the crimes? Isn't the Black Panter's home turf Chicago, where is the MILLION dollar reward for the apprehension of the killers? Isn't Chicago the home of Jesse Jackson and his son, where are the marches for justice Rev.? Are there not members of the Democrat Black Caucus living in Chicago, why are they not making loud noises in the Halls of the House demanding they crimes be solved? Why aren't the liberal racists at MSNBC all over this?

May I say, the silence may come because the evidence may come too close to the ONE they love so dearly.

The President spoke the truth when he said Trevon could have been his son. All three, Trevon, the President and the President's putative son, probably posses a yet-to-be-fully-revealed criminal past together with an "attitude" that has little or no respect for law.

Over 500 murders occurred in Chicago alone last year. Most of the victims "looked like Trayvon." Yet no outrage did we hear over this holocaust from "Rev" Al, the entire MSNBC commentariat or the Dear Leader. Go figure...
