Twitter Campaign: LAT — Release the Khalidi Tape Now
Once again — and not surprisingly — the Middle East has taken center stage in an American presidential campaign. Antediluvian riots have broken out across the Islamic world allegedly in response to an extraordinarily amateurish and virtually unwatchable video about Mohammed.
It turned out — again not surprisingly — that there was more to it than that and that planned terror attacks had occurred resulting in the murders of American personnel.
To the permanent discredit of our government, our State Department, and our secretary of State, they at first attempted to hide behind the video, blaming the inconsequential work for the near-global insanity and continually apologizing for it. They paid no more than the slightest lip service to what should be the very keystone of a democratic society — freedom of speech. (They also left unexplained the woeful lack of security for our diplomats in such volatile regions.)
What accounted for this desecration of our Bill of Rights by our own government? Mere cowardice or was there more? Does some ideological predisposition exist at the top of our executive branch that makes it easier to accede to the reactionary wishes of religio-fascist cultures where separation of church and state is anathema and the oppression of women endemic?
For some years, I and others have sought the answer to this riddle through the release of a tape held in the vault of the Los Angeles Times. This tape, known as the Khalidi Tape, records a going-away party held in Chicago in 2003. Here’s what I wrote back in April 2010:
Rashid Khalidi — a Palestinian-American historian known for his strong pro-Palestinian opinions — is currently the Edward Said Professor of Modern Arab Studies at Columbia and director of that university’s Middle East Institute. After Khalidi received this Columbia appointment in 2003, a farewell dinner party was held in his honor in Chicago. A videotape was made of that party where many good things were said about the Palestinian cause and many bad things about Israel. Then Illinois state Sen. Barack Obama was in attendance, as were, some say, William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn.
That tape, as Leon DeWinter reminded us, was given at some point by an unknown person to Peter Wallsten of the Los Angeles Times. Wallsten then reported on some of its contents in a brief LAT article of April 10, 2008 titled “Allies of Palestinians see a friend in Obama.”
Perhaps because it was so attenuated, that article engendered a cry for the release of the full tape. What really happened at the party? What was said? How did Obama react? People wanted to know more details of the Middle East views of the presidential candidate. But the LAT was effectively mum and sequestered the tape in its safe.
Given what has been occurring recently (the nuclear threat of Iran, Obama’s relationship with Netanyahu, that violent rioting throughout the Middle East, etc.), the public’s right to know on this matter should only have increased.
This is why, over this past weekend, I launched a Twitter campaign as follows:
Sunday, Sep 23 post – We should remind the @latimes every day until the election: release the Khalidi tape.
— Roger Simon (@rogerlsimon) September 23, 2012
Please join me in this endeavor. A fair number of people already have.
I realize that others have offered money for a copy of the tape. While I respect their intentions if not their methods, I believe making the Khalidi Tape available to the public before the election is the civic responsibility of the Los Angeles Times itself. They and similar publications like the New York Times and the Washington Post frequently print as “facts” information leaked by various anonymous sources in the government and elsewhere. In this case, there is an actual videotape to rely on. It is not hearsay. To deny the public access at the very least to a transcription, let alone the actual tape, is unconscionable (and the recent defense of their inaction published by the paper comically tendentious, self-serving, and remarkably unsophisticated).

I applaud your effort to keep the spotlight on LAT, but it is pretty clear they are going hide being the “promise to a source” and keep it out of site.
I think the $100,000 bounty is intended to illustrate that there must indeed be something very controversial on it, else the original author would step forward and claim it. Or that he has been paid more NOT to.
It is important that people are also made aware that the LA-Times is owned by the Chicago Tribune and that the refusal to release the Khalidi tape is just part of a systemic problem.
U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald named as source of leak.
http://illinoispaytoplay.com/2012/09/14/u-s-attorney-patrick-fitzgerald-named-as-source-of-leak/
It will be like the birth certificate. Doctored and fake upon release. Just so they can “fake out” those who wanted to hear it. Do you really trust the real tape in its entirety would be released? Anything that would be released now would be a fraud. It’s a Marxist trick used over and over again by the left.
The general public of United States is too naive and immature to properly evaluate the contents of such a document as the Khalidi tape. The tape will cause only speculation about what is truly in the heart of our dear, dear President. Such speculation cannot be permitted to derail or delay our commitment to social justice. The public is far better serviced by simply listening to our leaders’ own words, so that guessing at his meaning will not be necessary.
How do we know that our Dear Leader is lying?
His lips are moving.
Yeah, but that goes for all politicos.
And, we also know, ‘Dear Leader’ is deeply in bed with Islamists, from one side of the world to the other. Therefore,if the video is released, surely the hidden recesses of his Islamic soul would be harder to hide from a prying, American public.
The Islamist-in-Chief is most comfortable among his fellow third world devotees, whether red or green – http://adinakutnicki.com/2012/08/27/every-alarm-bell-is-ringing-tying-barack-hussein-obama-to-the-muslim-brotherhood-huma-abedin-at-the-tippy-top-eye-popping-video-embedded-addendum-to-when-does-trucking-with-terrorists-brea/
So, will the LA Times do their due diligence, and FINALLY let the public decide the fate of the contents of the tapes? Do pigs fly?
It is pretty obvious that Obama spewed enthusiastic bile at that dinner. That is why the tape must be hidden.
Campaign on, perhaps I will join your efforts on Twitter because you’re a good man and perhaps a miracle will occur. In my view, they will never, ever, release that tape.
If any friend of Israel has not figured out by now how Obama views Israel, they never will.
Just ask Bibi Netanyahu…
By his 20 year attendance in Jeromy Wright’s so-called church, by his saying “The Arabic Call to Prayer is the most beautiful sound on Earth”, by his celebrating Ramadan in the White House, by his 2009 speech in Cairo praising Islam, by his call to go back to the pre 1967 war borders, by his giving the Muslim Brotherhood and their auxiliaries entrance to the White House, the State Department and even the military, by his deep bowing to the Saudi King – By each of these things Obama’s calling is plainly revealed. That all united should fail to enlighten the competent inquirer is almost inconceivable.
Not to mention this too, Feral.
“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” The quote comes from page 261 of the paperback edition of “The Audacity of Hope.
I agree with some above that the release of the tape wouldn’t make a real difference, no matter how bad Obama actually comes off, no matter what is actually on that tape.
And it would hardly make a difference to American Jewish Dems themselves. After all Obama doesn’t even bother to pretend to hide his animus against the Jews oh I mean Israel sigh. And it matters not to them, for the most part. They could care less.
Whatever is on that tape could not be any worse than Obama’s reckless policy of covering for the Iranian regime and its genocidal goal and putting the screws on the Israeli government and its people for daring to recognize that the only thing that can stop another Holocaust is the kind of preemptive military action Obama is determined that Israel not take. That much is clear. Obama only encourages Iran and its proxies to believe that it is Israel that is isolated and on its own (and we are) and will have to fend for itself. Obama is at best a useful dupe of the ayatollahs and Muslim fanatics in Iran (and around the world). At best.
How could the tape’s supposed ‘explosive content’ be any worse than Obama’s Iran policy which only encourages and boosts the morale of those dedicated to another Holocaust of Jewry? The answer is that it couldn’t be any worse, and yet the dunderhead in the White House who makes Neville Chamberlain look like Genghis Khan, gets the support of most American Jewry (and Democrat Gentiles) regardless. All the evidence is in that Obama is a hardcore Jew-hater, what more do you need? All the facts matter not to the loony Left, Jewish or gentile. They never will matter. Simon comes across as somebody who still thinks the Left can be reasoned with or won over. They are on the other side, effectively on the side of the Muslim fanatics. In fact support for Obama would almost certainly pick up among the far Left (and even much of the mainstream Left), if the whole tape got out, and among liberal pro-Palestinian Jewry too.
For what it’s worth, I think the tape may eventually be leaked, but only years, even decades from now.
PS I am not to be confused with the other Israeli Larry.
You’re certainly right that anyone who is paying attention and isn’t willfully blind understands all these things.
However, a lot of people in this country are not paying attention and/or are willfully blind. They listen to the soundbites and the headlines and little more. If there were a soundbite of President Obama saying something very clearly negative about Israel — not the usual snarky baloney, but with actual venom in his voice, which is most likely what is on this tape — it would eventually get covered by the mainstream news once it had become news via the internet. This could wake up a few of the people who have their heads planted firmly in the sand.
For that reason, I support this campaign.
It’s easy to be cynical, Larry. And almost always right. But it is also a self-fulfilling prophecy – about practically everything.
– public funds involved with this at Columbia, in Chicago or L.A..?
Yes, it’s easy, Roger. It’s intellectual laziness of the worst sort.
That’s on its good days.
On its bad days, cynicism is another name for intellectual cowardice.
I agree with what you say, but it begs the question….Why? How can Jews support this communist/racist/incompetent empty suit while he cowtows to the islamist radical thugs around the globe? I just don’t get it. I’m not a Jew, but I know quite a few Jews, and none of them (with the exception of a couple of elderly relatives-by-marriage) support this idiot. What is the cause of this unreasonable behavior on the part of a huge portion of the Jewish community. It would be like supporting Adolph Hitler, based on the belief that his words and actions did not really threaten the existence of Jews everywhere. I just don’t get it.
Excellent. Righteous anger at its best. We can only guess at the tape’s contents and shouldn’t have to. Only personal crankiness keeps me away from Twitter (that shabby IPO).
If Romney wins, high on the list of targets — why not top of the list? — should be a full-on assault against the MSM. Though press freedom is a right, press credentials are a privilege that can be revoked; they don’t belong in the hands of charlatans.
Start with the LAT, the weak horse, to ‘encourage the others’ as Voltaire might say.
The LAT once employed a reasonably conscientious ombudsman (David Shaw?), but the word/job may have been ditched — too hard for today’s readers, perhaps. The new, improved version seems to be one Deidre Edgar, who is described cosily as Your Host. No kidding. Turn that frown upside down and start here: http://www.latimes.com/news/local/readers-rep/
Ideally, Romney should come out shooting NOW… but you know he won’t.
While there is very little – if anything – about the current MSM that warrants defending, try to imagine how those same creatins would report the story were they to be banished of a Romney White House. And how the mass of uninformed American voters would react. I fear it would be worse than what the left did – and is still doing – to Joe McCarthy.
Sure, I can picture it quite well. You’d hear shrill variants on a predictable theme: McCarthy>Witch hunt>Hollywood Blacklist, backed by self-pitying references to Salem from the fancier mags, and to Joan of Arc from dried-out harpies like, oh, Dowd and Naomi Wolf and the appalling Andrea Mitchell.
So what? The WH is supposed to be a bully pulpit where leaders live. If you can’t sell the need to harness the media to the American public using all the tech tools of the modern communications, you don’t belong in the WH. BTW, what’s wrong will nailing a shit-list to the front door? Worked out OK for Martin Luther. The key is to start out small and double-down repeatedly, keeping the public up-to-date every step of the way.
Frankly, GOP central/RNC is nasty enough but lacks conviction or talent. Plod, plod, plod — not nearly enough to deal with a world where brigands like Obama and Holder roam free.
where are the Black Ops guy when we need ‘em?
Keep at it, Roger Simon!
Unless they’re specifically editorializing, the point of the press is to report facts and allow the public to draw its own conclusions. Withholding facts for fear of political damage to a candidate (or a president) should be anathema to anyone wearing the mantle of “journalist”.
The press acting as Obama’s personal PR department is the most disturbing development of these last 4+ years.
I’ll come to Roger’s defense. Let’s assume that Obama’s farewell to Khalidi actually makes explicit his ideological affinity for Khalidi and his ideas.
Obviously then, the tape would be probative of Obama’s mind. It could confirm our conclusion that Obama is intellectually mortgaged to the transnational progressivist, multi-culti, neo-colonialist critique. That’s valuable, in and of itself, because Obama has been especially cagy and dishonest about his intellectual heritage.
Also, keep in mind that our conclusion is based on inferences derived from Obama’s behavior in office, as well as his background and education. But the tape is res ipsa loquitur; it speaks for itself. We’d no longer have to rely on inferences, we would have Obama’s own admission.
Moreover, Obama’s own words would have far more impact on those we wish to persuade than a thousand blog posts on the subject.
It’s likely that the Twitter campaign will not cause the LA Times to release the tape. But it’s worth a shot. And it costs us nothing. And it draws everyone’s attention to the LA Times spiking an important story.
I just sent my first Tweet requesting the release. Everyone who reads the post and comments, please do the same.
I agree with everything you say about the value of hearing Obama saying these things but I have very much doubt that even playing that tape is going to turn anyone against him. The people that hate what he appears to stand for will still hate him. The media and his handlers will simply spin this so that the people who like him will forgive him. It wouldn’t even be difficult. They’d just treat it the way they treated his former opposition to gay marriage but in reverse: they’d say he had flirted with radicals once upon a time but his views had “evolved” so that he no longer agreed with those ideas. He’d be lying through his teeth of course, just as he was when he claimed to believe in traditional marriage but you wouldn’t be able to prove it and his supporters would give him the benefit of the doubt.
We whine, we complain, we moan constantly about the totalitarian behavior of the Left. And it is all preaching to the choir. Even given our greatest, or largest in size, outreach, talk radio, we have reached a maximum of maybe 30 million Americans. We are effectively corralled and silenced. Our impact is negligible.
We must break out. This certainly will not be done with a president Romney and the DC pubbies. We are going to have to go big. We must follow the example of our Founders. They too were a small minority. But they won the day by putting it all on the line. So many of our spokesman, like Roger here, still think the country can be moved back to the Right and to sanity. Not the way we are presently going.
I used to wonder about Germany in the thirties. How could a whole people go so stark raving mad? It seemed such a mystery. It was a mystery only because I had failed to fully comprehend the awful darkness human society was capable of. I had failed to grasp how tenuous is the human condition. I grew up when American history was still taught and so my wold view was American and based on reason given the assumptions of American Exceptionalism. (odd that spell check here doesn’t believe that word exists) Everything I assumed has now disintegrated.
The Left has gone completely mad. Sitting down with a real leftist and discussing politics is like banging your head against a stone wall. You don’t make the smallest dent in them and all you get is a headache. They are unreachable. They have completely abandoned reason and logic and have entered the world of religious fervor. They are identical in their mindset to a radical muslim.
In the short time since Ronald Reagan’s presidency we have journeyed as a nation the same distance into madness that the Germans transited in the thirties. The Left owns the media, the bureaucracy, academia and everybody on welfare. They have a near absolute lock on the culture. Even if by some odd chance that Romney wins the election all the above will still be true.
Every tenant of the Declaration of Independence applies to we the Red States and the majority population within same. Our only hope for survival as a free people, to save our Constitution and to avoid abject totalitarian slavery is to secede.
It’s called The Blaze TV and Freedomworks.
How many times have I heard the words “watch what he does – not what he says” concerning Obama? All the nation has watched his fumbling way trying to explain his administration’s actions in Libya now that the ‘Arab Spring’ is bearing fruit. Does anyone besides me really think such a tape will change the hardened mind of the voters? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – even a video tape of Obama killing someone won’t be enough to convict him in the minds of these voters.
The brainwashing of the masses by the MSM is complete. It didn’t work on all of us but so what? Its worked well enough to get him one term – and may well give him another regardless of any video tape.
I think release of the tape would actually energize the new democratic party base.
He may lose 2 or 3 democratic Jews, but more than make up for it adding a few Paulians and Pat Buchanan as well.
I don’t think the Los Angeles Times has any credibility left. Actually, that’s not correct. They have total credibility as being in the tank for Obama and his minions, all the way to the point where real journalism means nothing to them. Well, if their circulation is any indication of things to come, they and rags like them won’t be around much longer. They have nobody to blame but themselves for this stunning lack of trust people have in them.
Perhaps I was simply naive, but it seemed that the MSM did a more sophisticated job in disguising their biases in past elections. You are right about the financial peril in which big media now find themselves with the rise of alternative streams of information. I wonder if that loss of influence explains why they have so brazenly enlisted in Obama’s campaigns, in their reporting as well as on their op-ed pages. They sound desperate.
Larry in Tel Aviv
“no matter what is actually on that tape”.
My guess is that Obama admits to being raised a Muslim and how proud he is of that. It certainly seems like something Obama would say at a going-away party for
Professor Rashid Khalidi — a Palestinian-American.
While liberal leftists may not even care; it’s the Undecideds and of course just about everyone else would. No amount of MSM spin will help.
At that point Obama might as well just hand the White House keys over to Romney.
Scenario: Blogger receives a tip from a trusted source saying they or someone they know attended the Khalidi event. Obama did indeed say he was Muslim and made a highly inflammatory remark about Jews, perhaps something like agreeing the world would be a better place without them. Ayers and Dohrn were there as well, and it was all captured on the videotape. The source provides corroboration for their claims.
The blogger runs the article including quotes attributable to Obama. Predictably, Obama, the LA Times and the lefties in general are in an uproar. They claim this blogger’s account is all a lie.
The only way to tell who is telling the truth is to air the tape itself.
I wonder why the Mossad or another Israeli resource doesn’t do something like this, given Israel’s dire predicament. (The same scenario would work for the birth certificate, transcripts, etc, anything where physical evidence is known to exist but is suppressed by Obama. Engineer the release of a false but highly inflammatory report, such that the only way to prove it wrong is to release the suppressed document.)
Even the CIA could do something like this. I hold out hope there are true patriots within our alphabet agencies that will do something to prevent the US from falling over a precipice if we get too close.
1) It’s likely that scenario is exactly what is on the tape so they’d gain nothing by airing the tape
2) They will just say it’s some kooky racist tea party birther garbage again and the righteous indignation from the usual suspects will neutralize the charges
It’s ok to print national security secrets in the conspiratorial media, but not ok to release material evidence about their candidate of choice.
It is ok to perp walk a US citizen in a midnight raid, with the conspiratorial media mysteriously on site at that wee hour of the morning at the citizen’s home, but it is not ok to bear witness against the erosion of our freedoms.
It is ok for over 400 members of the conspiratorial media to join a secret cabal in order to act in concert in depriving the American public of the truth, but it is not ok for Fox News or Rush Limbaugh to give voice to those who would oppose the cabal and their candidate.
The LA Times is actively engaged and has long ago chosen a side.
You don’t negotiate with hostage takers. I would not pay a ransom.
Their ink comes from a poisoned well. And they are NOT “mainstream”, I refuse to believe that the main stream of thought in this country is represented by intentional distortion, propaganda and lies. We are better than that as a nation, as a people. The despicable and vile propagandist media does not represent the “mainstream” of this land of ours.
I would say this, by the way, no matter which direction the political arrow pointed for the near criminal violation of the sacred trust between our information stream and we the people. If we are being cheated of the truth and lied to with impunity, through intentional acts of omission and commission, the net effect would be the same. Our liberties, freedoms and representative self-governance would all be eroded.
We all suffer the consequences. The LA Times is a prime offender. Give us the tape.
CF, I give you my personal Best Comment Prize. Despicable and vile they truly are. Our friends and relations caught up in the sh*tstorm of lies are not so different in situation from those duped by the Fascists in the Thirties. Confronting them in language as strong as yours may be the only thing that has a chance of breaking through the poisonous fog their minds and souls are lost in. I hate to think it’s hopeless and we should just give up on them
I don’t tweet…I comment! and I’ll keep commenting!
and, Why do you think Palin labeled them “Lame Stream”?….
I don’t tweet myself, but I suggest a hashtag. Maybe #releasethetapes?
The chance that those tapes will ever see the light of day are about the same Obama’s school records ever bring released. The public will never know true, personal details of his life ( school transcripts, enrollment status, trip to Pakistan as a college student, status of the law licenses of both of the Obamas prior to jumping on the public payroll, etc.)That potentially damaging tape will remain under tight secrecy from now until forever. The uncurious media is indeed a curiosity.
Amazing how well they can keep secrets when they want to, huh?
No, “responsible media” today are preoccupied only with one thing – Romney’s taxes. Along with Axelrod, Reid, and Cutter they are now “TAXERS”, just like they called their opponents “birthers”.
)
Wouldn’t it be great if Mitt referred to NBC-CNN-CBS-ABC as “taxers”?
Shouldn’t there be an email in the story we can all email LAT with asking them to release the film?
The author wrote: “Does some ideological predisposition exist at the top of our executive branch that makes it easier to accede to the reactionary wishes of religio-fascist cultures where separation of church and state is anathema and the oppression of women endemic?”
Hey, Mr. Simon, there is no such thing as “religio-fascist.” There is only islamo-fascist. I think you’re trying to be a little PC here by pretending that there is more than one religion that has fascism as its core. But, people know better and this only makes you look foolish.
I just tweeted the tweet suggested by Roger to a couple dozen folks I follow who will hopefully pick up on it. (I hate saying tweet, how did they come up with that description?)
IMHO the tape-video, were shown as an insurance plan for a Gay Palestinian who wanted a life-insurance, knowing how many Gays were rubbed off in the Chicago area since Obama got ambitious aspirations to become POTUS. This video, taken ina goodbye diner-charity for PLO terrorist, Rashid Khalidi, a scion of a Jerusalem nabobs (Jerusalem Mayor, under British Mandate) ) close to Hitelr’s buddy the pervert Haj Amin Al Husseini, the closest brain to the founding of the Muslim brotherhood in the 20′s, Said Al Bana, the grandfather of the reptilian Tariq Ramadan, Khalidi acted as PLO spokesperson for Yasser Arafat in 1982, lucky man to be alive, considering how many terrorists got rubbed off by the IDF and the Christians, but he made it to Chicago through his Leftist contacts from the American University in Beirut, knowing Edward Said, the poser theorist from Columbia University, whose classes Obama is presumed to have attended, or was influenced by his half baked theories, as evident from one photo of a 1998 diner in which Obama and Said are at the same table with their wives (the ungrateful first “Beard” Michelle), the tapes show Arabs in Chicago screaming hatefully against Israel, poetry, songs, and proclamations, also, a speech or some words by State Senator, BHO, um, um, um….one can only imagine what he had to say in front of the adoring Arabs and his ” idol” the poser from Cairo, Said (pronounced SA- EED), he also had ideas of how he could use this tape, as a bargaining chip to extort Obama with policies favoring the Arabs, no extortion was needed because he is in their camp, he says so in his book, which was written by Bill Ayre because he cannot write, being a certified slacker, Choom gang member, cocaine user and a drunk. The words were damning to his prospects, and the provider of this material wanted it on record to be sure he does not get wasted like E Lynne Harris, Donald Young, and assorted other obstacles that ended life prematurely!
All we do is whine about the bias in the media. A few like Roger have done something about it with PJ Media. Someone with the means needs to take over, by whatever means necessary, A few of the failing leftwing propaganda organs and re-shape them into actual newsgathering and reporting organizations. I’d love to see someone like Rush put together an investors group and take over the NY Times. Wouldn’t it be wonderful!
We all seem to focus our attention On Comrade Obama, but arn’t we missing the true contributers to the destruction of our country, that being those Individuals, orgnizations, and foregon groups which thru contrubitions and Infulance are deciding the systematic undermining of our freedoms and the financial desolution of our country, this also includes our ineffective Senit and Congress.
As a foreign former admirer of American open society where transparency – I thought – prevailed I am shocked that tapes which have a bearing on the a president’s views should be suppressed
To the American voter the tax payments/disclosures of Romney are vital information whereas that which goes to the very essence of the incumbent’s own mindset are to be held in secrecy in a vault
This to me is a travesty
The L A Times has besmirched its name
I have no doubt that this act will rebound wherever, and whenever, elections and their outcomes are analysed
Is this what any newspaper stives for ?Are these the values the L A Times embrace ? Shame on them !
Maybe a bumper sticker or a hashtag declaring “Obama / Khalidi 2012″? Should catch some Obama / Biden abiders off-guard.
Forget about the Khalidi tape. Forget about Israel. Forget about Netanyahu. Forget about other peoples’ rights and be concerned only with your own personal problems. When Obama’s bureaucrats come for you you’ll have enough to worry about, and there won’t be anybody left to concern themselves with your precious entitlements. You may be eaten last, but you WILL be eaten.
Wake up! Dumbarses and sniff the feces.
[W3]
If the commies were trying to get their hands on a tape being held by an organization sympathetic to the GOP cause, they would simply engage a useful idiot, think Harry Reid, to lie and state that someone (but a super secret that can’t be revealed) had informed him that a cover up was in place. The msm would run with that and it would be in our faces every day. I thought the dishonesty of the msm peaked in 2008 and now we behavior that’s taking out that high.
People with a lot of money and fear of murder
R keeping this covered. It is probably destroyed
By now for if there was another copy?! They too
Have been severely blackmailed.
Obama too
Is more scared of ” them” than now our supreme
Court and congress
He has come very close to war on our land
By our people from all his executive privilege
This is why he thinks with UN backing he
will disarm our people
most of us who have recognized what Obama is and has been doing don’t need to see the tape- we knew before 08, we saw the “donations” marked GA to hide that GAZA money flowed to Obama and GA was not an abbreviation for Georgia, USA. Since his election, what I have seen of Obama vs Israel is uglier and more deadly than I could ever have imagined. And what I have expected from him was not good in the first place- If a person was not convinced by what has gone down they will not ever be
My own family (Jews) voted Obama and most will do it again- they are not connected to Judaism or Israel in any meaningful way- or they believe Obama & Co when they say they are proISrael- facts be damned- they are connected to what they perceive as ideals – they fell for the charades and the lies, head over heels.
Not bad enough they will vote Obamantion term 2, my own sister is actively campaigning for him. Animals are higher on her list than Jews or humans. Her son is godless and liberal university indoctrinated- My other sister is married to an Israeli, son of Holocaust survivors- her daughter is yeshiva educated and belongs to Young Republicans. Another relative made sure she did not say as much on her college application and told her not to write her essay topic: a person you are inspired by- she wanted to write about the Holocaust survivors. The relative insisted she remove all references to Holocaust or Judaism, the relative is sure the university will look on such with an evil eye- Jews who are ashamed of being Jewish. In my own family- My mother told me I cannot criticize Muslims because she remembers what people said about Jews. I did not say aloud- but what they told about Jews were LIES, and what we are saying is beware the Nazism that never died after ww2-
All this breaks my heart- to know I am considered the crazy one now- the racist neocon warmonger zionazi-and I am quite sure now I understand the books I read about the Civil War when brother took arms against brother.
We had a good piece on FR on this very topic last week. Take a look, it is a good read!
http://fundamentalrefounding.ning.com/forum/topics/obama-plo-khalidi-2003-la-times-release-the-videotape Thanks Patriots!
cfbleachers comment is poignant.
I less frequent drudge report because his links are often Reuters, Ap/AFP and other echo chambers for emotionally-led, proven to fail nonsensical op-eds, fictional human interest pieces posing as ‘news’.
I understand drudge’s motive, to provide both an even-handed and obviously asinine accounts of the aforementioned news spinsters.
Life’s far too short and precious to pretend, let alone entertain such idiocy.
Isaiah62, cfbleachers and numerous other posters have written – the Illiberal mind is more times than not incapable of rational thought.
As someone else had mentioned, do not go by what one says, in this case Obama but what he does.
The list is far too long to point out in this article of our empty vessel ‘leader’ exploiting people’s gullibility from his choom club days to present day infinite-like failings.
President Barack Kardashian is seriously beyond reason or comprehension.
“LAT — Release the Khalidi Tape Now”
Naw, it’ll never happen. To release the tapes would harm Obama. The L.A. Times cannot do that. They have signed their pact, and that is that. There is no turning back. And to hell with them.
I am retweeting you once a day. I don’t think this is channeling, but it might be similar..
Where is Sandy Burglar when we need him?
Do you know who else has a copy of that tape? The intelligence agencies of Russia, China, and Iran, in all probability. They also almost certainly have all of Obama’s transcripts, passports, and financial records for the past thirty years – and God only knows what else. Unlike the American people, who can only write e-mails to the LA Times and other pro-Obama gatekeepers in a futile attempt to discover basic information about the man we have elected President, foreign agents are able to cut through all of the red tape and simply take what is useful to them. I don’t know if Obama is being blackmailed by our enemies, but if he isn’t, it is the biggest wasted opportunity in the history of espionage.
It’s Obama’s fault.
Whatever it is.
Have we had enough Amateur Hour already? This started as a bad joke and hasn’t aged well.
Gee. Another FRWNJ e-zine lying about non-existent “apologies”. Can’t say I’m surprised, but I am getting bored. It seems to me that if you feel that lies are necessary to promote…uh…whatever it is you’re trying to promote, is it really worth it?
That’s not even the reason I came here. I just wanted to respond to a completely piece of drivel, that being: “Does some ideological predisposition exist at the top of our executive branch that makes it easier to accede to the reactionary wishes of religio-fascist cultures?” Seems to me that if it did it would make it much easier for Obama to get along with the Tea-baggers, wouldn’t it?
NYTimes published a story about Obama’s other race speech today. This would be angreat time to retweet the LAT to releae the Khalidi tapes.
The LAT said (via James Rainey in a published piece last month I think) that their reporter “gave his word” the tape would not be released. That the reporter is now gone from the LA Times, and they are, Rainey says, helpless, and honor bound not to disclose the tape.
As best I can tell, this is the only evidence the Times has ever felt obliged to conceal. It sends out very good lawyers to petition for access to sealed files all the time.
But they say this is DIFFERENT: because their former reporter gave his word not to disclose the tape.
Now the tape belongs to the LA Times, yes? It concerns a sitting US President; the reporter probably had no power to bind the Times on what the Times does with tis property. To the extent the Times claims it is a “matter of honor,” the TIMES needn’t worry about that; it has none to worry about. Anyone watching its coverage of the 2010 Governor’s race there remembers that the LA Times avoided pensions and debt, but made the election coverage one long story over . . .a former maid to the GOP candidate.
The of course the TIMES ran its hit and run piece on Arnold Schrwarzzeneger in 2003 a few days before the election–for allegedly fondling women. Arnold’s later affair is beside the point: the Times piece seemed to be a clumsy hit piece to most voters
So: help me out here. Am I wrong? Or is Rainey simply hiding behind a facade of honor, when his newspaper could easily and properly release the tape which it owns?
