One of the more dryly funny lines of the year – or at least the week – appears on Drudge today in response to the removal by Paramount Studios of Al Gore’s name from the poster and credits of the global warming doc An Inconveninent Truth:
“A rival studio executive claims marketing research showed little audience interest in a movie starring Al Gore.”

In point of fact, his name was not “removed” from the film’s credits; it was never in the final ends (and there are no mains – only the title card “AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH.”
“A rival studio executive claims marketing research showed little audience interest in a movie starring Al Gore.”
Or a White House starring algore either apparently.
Al Gore’s little movie has made $2.2 million as of Tues, June 6. How much has your little Pajamas Media venture made?
Parker, that’s cute, but grownups realize that you’re comparing apples to oranges.
Check your own link, Parker. Al Gore’s little movie has receipts of $2.2 million, that’s a very different thing from making $2.2 mil.
It was the highest grossing film, on a per-screen basis, for its debut weekend.
But that’s not the point.
The real point is whether that rival studio executive would claim marketing research showed massive audience interest in a movie starring Roger L. Simon.
is that Jealousy I smell?
