The Iranian parliament voted to block United Nations inspectors if their nuclear program is referred to the Security Council.

The bill was approved by 183 of the 197 lawmakers present at the session, which was broadcast live on state-run radio. The vote came four days before the International Atomic Energy Agency board meets to consider referring Tehran for violating a nuclear arms control treaty.

I very seriously doubt the Iranian’s have anything to worry about, when this story was about to break I had a good friend call and inform me ElBaradei praised the Iranian’s for the latest openness in revealing the newest revelation in their growing, long list of transgressions.

SOS, another day and all that bunk…just as we saw with Iraq and Saddam; Mohammad will eagerly take and swallow whatever meager scraps the Iranian’s toss-out and claim them to be clear signs of progress. He may, for the record, urge the Iranian’s to take bigger strides but beyond that…

Remember…the Euro’s, Russian’s and Chinese, combined, have hundreds of billions – if not some number in the trillions – riding on maintaining the Iranian status quo.

They don’t dare do anything, or let anyone, disturb the golden goose. …if it kills them or not.

    Roger:

The idea of negotiations and keeping them going has overwhelmed the idea of actual results for many in the international community. That is why the U.N. and many on the left will allow that institution and their governments to suffer any humiliation as long as they can keep the charade of “ah, but we are still talking” alive.

This is the gameplan for the Iranian negotiations. The Euro’s will huff and puff. Iran will flip them off and then at the last minute send out feelers that continued negotiations are possible. The international community will jump at the smallest of scraps and start offering economic carrots. Iran will eat them and string them along.

But when it comes down to real verification Iran will say no. They will threaten to leave the table. The negotiators, in their lust for a signing ceremony and the champagne flute clinks, will devise a toothless and incomplete inspection regime that will allow the Iranians to complete their program and allow the negotiators to make the covers of the news mags and get their peace prizes. And they will feign shock when the Mullahs announce their bomb. The Mullahs are laughing their butt”s off at the West because of our gutless wishfull thinking.

Double post, I think I just set the record. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH.

  4. Not to be rude, but this is newsworthy? This is like reporting there was a car jam at 3pm in Los Angeles!

Maybe for the benefit of those who do not follow Iranian news. Okay, I’ll give you that. It’s just I’ve been hearing that for months! lol.

I hope you are well. I heard the NY Conference went well. Congratulations!
