Firefox bug fixed

September 23, 2005 - 7:08 pm - by Roger L Simon

The security bug bugging Firefox, the web browser used by many readers of this blog, has allegedly been firefixed or something. I’m uploading it now. It’s available here.

Ah but with Netscape 8 you can have all the benefits of Firefox AND Explorer. I have not run into a site yet that I had to close and reopen in Explorer. I hate AOL, but still prefer the commonality of Netscape.

I don’t care for Firefox, nor Netscape. IE is fine with me.

BUT, believe it or not, I’ve switched to Opera!! (except for movable-type blogs where I comment).

Opera is now free. I mean TOTALLY FREE. No ads even.

On their 10th(?) anniversary they gave away keys for free. I started using it then and got hooked.

Just a couple days ago they decided to make it free for everyone.

    Man, I love Opera.

  7. I love Firefox and it remains my main browser.

But I thought I’d give the ad-free version of Opera a try. Syl’s right! It’s great. Definitely worth a free download. I can’t see why anybody would use unsafe IE instead of one of these two wonderful browsers.
