The Bad Hair Blog has a report on a colloquy with Al Jazeera yesterday sponsored by the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies and Adam Smith Global Television. That’s “Adam Smith” as in Jerry Goodman, the bestselling author. The dialogue between him and Al Jazeera’s Abderrahim Foukara is as interesting for what is not said (inadvertently or otherwise) as for what is said.

Thank you Roger!
Equally interesting was that most of the video clips were MEMRI’s.
Abuaardvark has any interesting post on spirited debated which aired on al Jazeera.
“Good for Martin Indyk for going on the program… it’s the right thing to do, and an important thing to do. Going on al Jazeera and engaging in these arguments directly is the best, maybe the only, way to actually reach Arab public opinion – far more important than al Hurra, Radio Sawa, or new public diplomacy campaigns.”
Meanwhile, AJ is posting another advertisement…er, story about the kidnapped American today. Creeps. How long till we see the beheading? I’ll bet they can’t wait.
And here’s an interesting tell-all about the NYT and their Iraq news “coverage.”
