Three Strikes and You’re Not Out
After igniting a public firestorm by omitting “God” from their political platform and refusing to acjnowledge Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, the Democratic Party made amends to its supporters by demonstrating the process of voting until you get it right.
There. It’s back. This demonstrates the deep seated and sincere commitment to faith and freedom within the Big Tent. Rahm Emmanuel said it best in his speech to the convention. In President Obama the public has a leader who is sincerely fighting for them.
On that first day, I said, “Mr. President, which crisis do you want to tackle first?” He looked at me, with that look he usually reserved for his chief of staff, “Rahm, we were sent here to tackle all of them, not choose between them.” There was no blueprint or how-to manual for fixing a global financial meltdown, an auto crisis, two wars and a great recession, all at the same time. Believe me, if it existed, I would have found it. Each crisis was so deep and so dangerous; any one of them would have defined another presidency. We faced a once-in-a-generation moment in American history.
Fortunately for all of us, we have a once-in-a-generation president. And in those uncharted waters, I saw where the president finds his North Star. Every night, President Obama reads ten letters from everyday Americans.
When I met with the president at the end of each day, he made sure he had their letters to read at his residence—letters from people just hoping for someone in power to understand their struggles and challenges.
I cannot tell you how many times—whether we were discussing the economy, health care, or energy prices— the president would walk to his desk, take out one of their letters, read it to all of us, and say, “This is who we are fighting for”—
There is no element of calculation there. The “people we’ve been waiting for” have lost no time reminding Israel “you’re the people we’ve been fighting for.” Gone are the days of promising anything — even if it meant lying through your teeth — for convenience, even though, as the Washington Post points out, that men like Dick Harpootlian are still prominent in the Democratic Party. Harpootlian famously said of his party’s dedication to the Black Vote that:
he didn’t want to buy the black vote; he just wanted to rent it for a day. In 2000 he was accused of using anti-gay slurs when he repeatedly referred to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) as “light in the loafers.”.
What? For a day? With their constant support the rental payment should last for a least a week. But today Harpootlian’s fire is restricted to assailing Republicans. “The Chairman of the South Carolina Democratic Party is refusing to apologize after he compared his state’s Republican Gov. Nikki Haley to Adolf Hitler’s mistress Eva Braun.”
Who doesn’t agree with that?
Dick Harpootlian, a tart-tongued Columbia attorney known for his off-color and sometimes inflammatory rhetoric, made the analogy after Haley showed up at the Democratic National Convention earlier this week to offer a GOP response to the proceedings in Charlotte.”
Americans Jews and people of faith can take this assurance in the Democratic platform to the bank. Though on second thought they had better not take it there, as a mattress or a hole in the ground might be a safer place to stash it. At any rate the age of honesty here. Aquarius arrived. In the immortal words of that famous Democrat Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter, honesty is the best policy. “You can fool some of the people some of the time. You can fool all of the people some of the time. But only we can fool all of the people all of the time.”

Rumor has it several hundred additional Minnesota delegates were discovered in the arena’s broom closet.
As well as a few cadaverous Illinois delegates.
And they all voted to undo the omission, even though it never really happened.
Oh the irony. Let’s build a lib-tower without God, then change our minds to save face. God obliges and comes down, confusing their language and scatters these arrogant cockroaches! A providential melt-down!
Somebody once said, “A house divided cannot stand!”
Well we can hope!…and in the mean time, ya’ just gotta love it!
The radical Left is leading the Dems farther and farther away from the mainstream.
It’s all fun and games and vegetarian potlucks and agreeing by waving your hands in the air, but, as another Great Man once said, they are useful idiots.
Clinton, Carville, Begala, and other Clintonite Dems are smart guys…they have to know that, long-term, the Dems need to tack back to the middle. This election is a fight as much for control of the Democractic Party as it is for the 2012 White House.

Obama has lost a lot of support among women. I guess Mitt going for the good looking guy worked. One wonders how much the polls affected the change in the convention plank, not that convention planks will mean anything next Monday.
The substantive issue raised by this incident is how much value to put in an assurance by Barack Obama. Given these somersaults, would you, as an ally, or as a friend of America risking your life for it feel assured that you won’t be sold down the river? If you had to bet the existence of your country on President Obama’s words, would you?
Some of us have walked dangerous trails and know how important it is to test your footing to see if the board or hold will take the strain. At what would you rate the tensile strength of this administration’s word?
This goes straight to heart of the credibility of America. Credibility is important to preserving the peace. Deterrence is based on credibility. Money is based on credibility. A lot of force or coercion is made unnecessary because of the credibility in the fairness of a system. If you were Jewish, how far would you trust President Obama?
Right now the Chinese are coveting the South China Sea. If were a Filipino official, would you count on Obama to “have your back”? Or would you even now be shorting yourself?
President Obama has a history of “evolving”. How long before he evolves in the way you simply know he’s going to evolve?
I can’t stop watching the DNC video. Fascinating.
Villaraigosa and Strickland seem genuinely shocked at the vociferous “no” votes. For a moment, Villaraigosa seems almost to want to say “what do you mean, ‘no’?”
I know nothing about those two, and whether they should be in the “smart Dems” camp or not. But it gives me hope that even party hacks are seemingly stunned that amendments such as these did not pass with loud acclamation.

I can’t stop watching the DNC video.
I’d rather watch tonight’s doings in PNC Park– at least the Pirates know the rules of baseball. (Full disclosure: best bud from college lives in the Burgh, so I have a soft spot for the Buccos.)
Some of us have walked dangerous trails and know how important it is to test your footing to see if the board or hold will take the strain. At what would you rate the tensile strength of this administration’s word?
Trust a politicians word? Never. Never ever.
JiP @ 6: Villaraigosa and Strickland seem genuinely shocked at the vociferous “no” votes. For a moment, Villaraigosa seems almost to want to say “what do you mean, ‘no’?”
You put your finger on an important point – wasn’t the word supposed to go out so there WAS no issue in the vote? What happened?
Strickland gave quite a nice speech last night, if you’re a Republican-hating Democrat, I see 2016 written in his eyes. Mayor V is my very own mayor of Los Angeles, known for accepting free tickets to Lakers games and chasing skirts. I’m fine with that, we expect no more (and no less!) from our mayors in Los Angeles, they have little real power. He has some radical roots, but in my view has forgotten them himself, he’s just some guy, maybe with some eye to a Washington position at some point.
But again, who was tasked with setting up the vote? Nobody??? Quite possibly these two guys and they both failed, not knowing wtf they were doing.
wretchard @5 – which Jews? My wife, myself, several other couples we know. Israel is important to us, but we’ve never been single-issue voters. We didn’t trust Obama with the country in 2008, let alone now. Not sure about our voting-age kids – son seems to appreciate the campaign antics (the Ask Me Anything episode) and may have decided college students are to be the next permanently aggrieved identity group and he should get what he can while he can. On the other hand, way too many of our other Jewish friends and most of my extended family are vocal Obama supporters and think we’ve gone daft or worse to even consider alternatives.
If a preference cascade happens in our community, it’s going to be a stunner. I’m not expecting one however.
If people want to put a bullet through their heads — like Richard Cory — that is their business. But they have no mandate to a bullet through mine. Therefore if Rachel Corrie wants to stand in front of a bulldozer, that is one thing. But if in the process she empowers people who will aim a mortar shell at me, then possibly it becomes my business.
I owe it to myself not to believe in obvious lies. Others may have no problem with that, but all that means is that we have to compensate for that, by being doubly careful. For if people won’t protect themselves then sooner or later — as night follows day — they’ll be visited by trouble and then they may turn to others. What do others do then when the thing they’ve invited sits in the common room?
Those guys at the Convention were wrapping an anvil around their ankles. I don’t mind, but sooner or later when it drags them to the bottom they’ll be looking for company. Help! Help! They won’t cry for it you say. Dollars to donuts they will.
How does one reconcile the principle of allowing others to make their beds with that of making sure they don’t make them with snakes? I don’t know. The closest that I can come is to think that it can’t be helped. That it never could be helped. That history has always consisted of men making fools of themselves in despite of those who are determined to survive despite their foolishness.
Maybe that’s the take-away from the DNC. Here’s a bunch of guys who are setting sail with a cup of water and busted compass; they’re not going to help themselves. But they’ll need help before long. Therefore all one can do is wait and ready oneself for what they will surely bring on.
And one more thing. The whole thing reminded me of people in denial after making a pact with the devil. The Democratic Party has been steadily selling itself to the infernal factions of its party, probably thinking “we can always come back to the center.” That’s what they all say. In reality the time comes when you can’t send the devil away after you’ve conjured him. When he’s there to stay. A political devil is very close to collecting the soul of the party. Maybe he already has.
They are in denial, I’m listening to E.Warren right now at the DNC speachify and I find myself finishing her sentences before she does, so old and used up is the Trope spun by the Demoncrats, Faust anyone?
Bob
This administration and the left wing of the Democratic Party resemble nothing so much as the chaos in Venezuela. When Chavez seized the oil industry he fired most of management and replaced them with ideologically acceptable people, declaring that meritocracy was no longer important or necessary in a Bolivarian society. You may have noticed that they have had a spot of bother of late with a fire or some such at the refinery.
The handling of the vote on the platform today, along with seemingly the reelection effort, are reminiscent of Max Sennet’s Keystone Kops. Fustercluck.
“a global financial meltdown, an auto crisis, two wars and a great recession”
All of which were caused by the Democrats or their allies, foriegn or domestic. They are like the firebug fire fighter who claims to be a hero when he reports to pour water on the fire he set. In this case they are openly pouring gasoline into the burning house.
The definition of a corrupt politician, “He won’t even stay bought.” It would be poetic if the DNC’s cheques bounced.
In regard to the question about Jews voting D after the shenanigans of the D platform hullabaloo – the Jews who are religiously affiliated and attend services daily/weekly vote consistently conservative, which generally means R.
The others are JINO’s, like DWS, whose religion is not based on the bible but on if it feels right to me then do it.
So, unfortunately, for the majority of D voters, today’s antics will not make any difference. They will just temporize and keep their head in the sand.

And they will not only need help, they will demand it as their due. But what happens if it is decided by those they wish to force to save them; that they are really not the same people that we are, and that there is no reason to save them? What if those who could render aid, decide that it is in their best interest to let the Democrats/Leftists/Racists/Eugenicists either sink or die of thirst on their ship of fools?
I, for one, know that they will attempt to destroy us all. So does it not make sense to assume that the best course is to preserve what we can and make sure that they go down.
I’m pretty convinced that this will not end either peacefully or non-violently. This was reinforced with their comments yesterday that we all belong to the government. The election cannot possibly settle anything. What we see is not a political viewpoint, it is a religion that is totally incompatible with the acceptance of the existence of Freedom anywhere; akin to Marxism or Islam.
If we should win the election [if they allow an election]; do you think that these debased creatures will accept the result? Or that their masters will? If they should, by thievery or the decadence of the American people, win; do you think that free Americans will long endure what the slave culture will impose without rebellion?
There has been more than a whiff of brimstone around the Left for decades. “Old Scratch” has already marked them as his own.

Here’s my guess. The God and Jerusalem articles were removed because a large constituency in the Party wanted them specifically removed. They were so numerous that President Obama acceded to it in the days prior to the convention.
But when a huge backlash began to form it was detected by his pollsters and the president did what he does so well: he becomes for something after he was against it. So he told his flunkeys in the DNC to change the wording. Not because he believes in either God or Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, but for political convenience.
The fact that there was no 2/3 vote only confirms the existence of the anti-Israel constituency. But that was but little hindrance. Good fascist that he was he rammed it through. If a man will treat his friend so, how will he treat others?
So having thrown God and Jerusalem under the bus, he then proceeds to dispatch his supporters via the same route. What you see in the video is Obama zigging after he had zagged. My takeaway, as is evident from the post, is that President Obama is about as sincere on the issue of God and Jerusalem as a used car salesman is when he assures you that this is the vehicle of your dreams.
It was a shameless display of dishonesty, hypocrisy and two-faced dealing of which Judas Iscariot, now that we’re on the subject of Jerusalem and God, would be justly proud. I think these people would say anything, promise the moon and the stars and tell any lie to stay in power.
Listen to Debbie Wasserman-Schultz describe events. She must take the audience for fools to believe her. The tragedy is that she is probably right.
I know it didn’t sound like they had the two-thirds required to pass the motion but that is because a lot of the “yea” voters were dead. Did you notice the lady who came out on stage? She hears dead voters. It passed easy.
I watched a bit of Bill Clinton. Those rays still come out of his eyes that make Democrats believe him.
No problem. It’s just a blip.
Along comes Slick Willy and reality itself is forced to take a back seat to charm.
All the BS, all the fantasy, all made real by an attractive guy with a perfect haircut, and all those who are swayed by such things, who are legion.

How does one reconcile the principle of allowing others to make their beds with that of making sure they don’t make them with snakes? I don’t know.
Me too neither. But here’s the thing the democratic (small d) system was set up to provide, changes in direction. Does Mitt have a counter to any of this? Does he need one, or is his “I’m not Obama” strategy enough? Pray to the gods of chaos, better than a straight line to hell.

I am very much afraid you are right both about the Democrat cult and the outcome of the election. Each week brings new, utterly bizarre behaviour that would have been impossible in 2008. Each week, the tone of the commenters on this blog becomes grimmer. The anger has gone – what’s the point? Now, it is all hunkering down, making plans and noting the signals.
The Democratic POV;

Subotai Bahadur, I hope you are wrong. Then I think about how passionate the left is and how bad they will take a crushing defeat I still don’t think it will get past the level of local riots. Of course, that just be wishful thinking.
If it does go sour, I’m armed to the teeth and have way more rounds then I’ll live to shoot. If the polls show Mitt hitting a double digit lead, I think I will crawl in a hole and pull it in after me.
We will see.
OK, that’s my quarter. Somebody else needs to feed the jukebox. Cheapskates.
America has become Oceana. There really is a Memory Hole.
American Black folk professing Democrats are Black and Democrat (and atheistic) way before they are Americans and Christians. Van Jones, the admitted Communist is one perfect example.
American Jews are Democrats before they are true to their judaism or to that of their ancestors (now living in Israel) before they are true to their faith.
Debbie Wasserman-Schlutz is the most openly dishonest woman in America and the vote for that auspiciouis title between her and Nancy Pelosi was about as close as that “2/3″ vote on the convention floor.
I was watching the tumult during and after the vote and what struck me the most is that the Democratic Party delegates resemble a Third World convention at the United Nations – and seem just as hostle.
Watching tonight it was clear to me that the cheering during the speeches had little to do with the Democrat party or Barack Obama. It looked to me like the mixing of white wine, oil, orange juice, and Celantro in preparation for the “orange sauce” of my Orange Roughy recipe. The sauce has to be simmered under medium heat to change the mixture into a delicious paste that goes so well over the fish. But that mixture of diverse ingredients is brought together to form something better than what they represent separately – “out of many; one.” I saw no such willingness to surrender self to the will of the majority – either by the delegates or their leaders.
Looking at the floor of the DNC I saw nothing but diversity squared. They are all together not to band into something positive – they are all there in search of various bits of individual power. They are only there for themselves.
Later, they will tear each other apart. Once the blood-lust, others later.
Now I know why Hornady marketed their Zombie rounds. The question that follows is a simple one…should I buy .223 or .308 for protection when they come for me?

” do you think that these debased creatures will accept the result? Or that their masters will? If they should, by thievery or the decadence of the American people, win; do you think that free Americans will long endure what the slave culture will impose without rebellion?”
I think the answers to your questions are no, no and no but I believe the battles will continue to be fought at the ballot box, not by political armed conflict in the streets.
If the left loses of course they won’t accept it but they won’t rise up in arms because they know they would lose that kind of battle. If the left wins then the rest of the electorate will stand their ground and defeat the left using the electoral process and its politics.
Americans can be awful blowhards and a royal pain in the butt about almost anything, but when things get real you are a civilized people. I insist this is true; so it must be.

I wonder how close we came this time around to having a Libertarian for a President? Seems to be the only party of real change in America.
Democrats are a pretty funny bunch. Defintely appeals to the not-so-bright segment of America. But they get a vote too.
The same people who were fooled by “hope & change” in 2008 will be fooled by “forward” in 2012. Sad, but true. Makes me wonder if there was ever a time in America when politics wasn’t so polarized.
You voted for Obama to prove you aren’t racist, now vote for Romney to prove you aren’t an idiot.

It depends on your expected engagement range. I favor the .308 [7.62 NATO] for the ability to reach out and touch someone. For MOUT, .223 [5.56 NATO] has advantages and your engagement ranges will be shorter. The safest place to be is in a rural community amongst trusted friends who are also well armed. *smile*

I will admit that to non-Americans; yeah we are considered blowhards and royal pains in the butt [although, I believe that from April 19, 1775 and officially from July 4, 1776; the "royal" may not apply]. The problem is that the two sides really don’t necessarily consider each other to be “Americans” anymore.
Subotai Bahadur
“should I buy .223 or .308 for protection when they come for me?”
What are your ranges? Under 100 meters (yards) the .223 is better. Over 200 yards and you might be better off throwing rocks, or even better, hiding. It does get back on target quick and is an accurate round. The .308 will knock down a 200 lb man at 200 yards and stop them at 300. It has a lot of recoil and can be a handful when putting out rounds.
I have a M1A in .308 and a Gibbs #7 jungle carbine in .308. The M1A is a semi automatic version of the M-14, which was based on the M1 Garand. The main difference is mine is magazine instead of clip fed. I cannot control it when I get happy with the trigger, so it is sort of pointless as a semi automatic. That is why I bought the Gibbs. It is a Austrailan built copy of a Lee-Enfield from WW2. Originally in .303 the rifles have been rebuilt by boring the barrel to .308 and shortening it from the mil spec to 20″.
I don’t own a .223 at the moment. 3 of my brothers have them in various mods. I figure that at 100 yards or less I will use a shotgun probably, although the Gibbs was designed for jungle, which means short range snap shots.
Monkeyfan, thanks. I’m trying to turn blogging into a performance art. I’m almost tempted to add some drums to ol’ cad and cut the bass and clean up the horns. Might see what changing the timing does. I would love to hear some of the old time jazz greats do Billie Jean or a fairly mordern song. Ella and Brittney? Elvis and Joan Jet?
Re. #18 cellec – I’m going to play devil’s advocate here. Being swayed in that manner is hardly unique to the irreligious Left – if it were, televangelists would be out of business. And so would Romney.
Technological advances have unforeseen consequences. One example is TV. I would be the last to say the television is not a good thing – but one consequence of its introduction is that politics has turned into a beauty contest. That’s how you got Clinton and Obama – and also how we in the UK got Blair.
When I saw this on TV I could not help but think how much it resembled the OWS “Mike Check” shoutdown of dissenting voices.
This was, if anything, even more remarkable than the absurd Durbin response to Bret Bair’s honest and simple question that started this whole thing. Perhaps the most absurd part of all was Durbin saying that no one ever reads the platforms so why should they discuss it.
The Know Nothing Party concept has been taken to its logical conclusion by the Dems.
The quaint notion of Democracy, even Representative Democracy, is dead in America. It’s always the small things that go awry early and at some point you notice that a line has been crossed and the big things are going to fall on the wrong side of the line sooner than you think.
1 – Republican Convention: The powers that be in the GOP played games with the Ron Paul delegates to bury their voice at the convention. It was a pure power play to improve the “optics” of the convention. Paul didn’t have a chance to change the outcome, but the voice of his supporters was effectively silenced. (note: I am not a Paul supporter/voter – but in a Voltairean manner, defend his right to be heard).
2 – Democrat Convention: We’ve all seen the video. Shameless. Anyone who thinks (a) that there was a quorum in that empty forum, and (b) the result was 2:1 in favor, is simply a liar.
Maybe it has always been this way. I watched Boardwalk Empire over the summer and wondered if the corruption depicted of the 1920′s was still with us just in kinder, gentler garb. What we need is wholesale turnover of the political class and devolution of power to localities where the representatives must face their constituents daily and/or weekly as they go about their business. Make them accountable.
In watching the video and having heard first hand the Democrat vitriol against Israel (immediately followed by “I am not antisemitic, just antiZionist”). I fear the backlash against he Jews should Obama lose.
Their logic will be the following: Pressure from the Jews made Obama change the platform. We didn’t want it changed. They forced it down our throats. The Republicans made hay out of it. It could not be held out of the media. The Jews then didn’t raise enough money for Obama. They also did not come out to vote for Obama. That is why we lost the election. Blame it on the Jews.
This ought to be enough to push more than a few into the Republican camp after the election. I would love to see Romney/Ryan buy property and break ground on an American Embassy in Jerusalem in 2013 to move even more voters into their camp and piss off the lefty crowd. Wasn’t it George Shultz who said that would send a clear signal to the entire Middle East that Israel is there to stay?
BTW – since Carter lost Iran and we’ve had 30+ years of fundamentalist Shiite nonsense, with Obama losing Egypt, does that mean we are in for 30+ years of fundamentalist Sunni nonsense? Can we just wind them up and point them at each other and get out of the way and let them beat each other back to the 7th century?
I’ll just throw out a few impressions here:
The Democratic leadership is sitting upon a volcano. They think they can control it. I suspect they’re deluding themselves.
However–
Assuming the Democrats–or their most active members and elites–believe in this nonsense they’re spouting, (the way Clinton gave his speech was classic Clinton, but WHAT he said was alternate-universe type stuff) all the while seething with their nutty passions and building up steam for what, exactly?–surely we can count millions of their party brethern out of their looney bin? All the Democrats of West Virginia, for instance. Wide swathes of them in PA and Ohio and so on.
Therefore, re: coup d’tat or violent uprising or just violence, we can count on relatively few people supporting/acting in it. All of these would be found in the large urban areas, too, but without the means (organization, food, long-term supply for their weapons) they’re pretty helpless. Thousands of black ‘youth’ in flash mobs hardly an army make. They’d need a Leon Trotsky. Do we have any candidates? Van Jones? Obama himself? And even if they brought Trotsky back from his Mexican grave, he wouldn’t be working with stoic, long-suffering Slavs, would he?
To me, it’s easy to see a lot of mayhem congregating around this election, both before, during, and after. Dar Crom, the Dem’s own convention is almost out of the control of its bosses! Perhaps Obama is terrified of what’s happening? He can’t be relishing it. (I know, I know; maybe he does. I can’t help thinking like a sane man.)
But how does all that translate into full-scale rebellion? The vast majority of people in the country are not going to tolerate truly serious mayhem, least of all a coup. Worst comes to worse, urban areas will be nasty, and life there brutish and short (sorry, Mr. Hobbes) and of course the ‘burbs will be plundered.
But I can’t see any of it translating into something that could seriously overthrow the government. That would be more likely to come later, I’d guess, AFTER Romney is in office and the out-of-power devils get their due of decades of sowing hate. But even then, would it amount to nothing more than Occupy Wall Street on a larger scale?
Then again, I suppose I’m an old Republican Roman who simply couldn’t imagine Marius or Sulla marching on Rome, or for that matter, the success of Pompey or Caesar (in whom there were many Mariuses, as Sulla said) or any of those guys actually overthrowing the Republic’s constitution.

The question of the capital of Israel was discussed at a White House press conference, with Barack Obama’s press secretary, Jay Carney. It adds the clarifying color of exactly how firm Obama’s position is on the capital of Israel.

Let’s go back to August 23, 1939, the day the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact was signed. What was the majority Jewish opinion? While they genuinely recognized the Nazi threat their loyalty to Stalin and Communism made them swallow hard and accept it, and defend it. There is a thread in Jewish cultural life that equates Communism and the Old Testament. The Communist Manifesto has replaced the Prophets and Das Kapital has replaced the Torah. Communism, first, last and always is the creed even if it means their own extinction. Jews continue to vote Democratic for the same reason they continued to support Stalin — they have a death wish.
#31 I may be out of date, but I wouldn’t trust a shotgun to hurt a fly passed about 40 yds.
Concerning Harpooplian slurring Haley as a Nazi, I posted this at JammieWearingFools:
“From the audience reaction at the Dem Convention it seems only about half of them are godless anti-semites. At least they are more Communists than Nazis, if that is a reasonable comparison, and it is, if one can accept Harpoolian’s metaphor concerning Haley.”
What a freak show! Did Mr. Clinton fail to mention that he was getting paid $50,000/month by John Corzine’s MF Global in the several months before Corzine stole $1.5 billion in customer funds? He must have forgot.
Mr. Corzine, who raised a few hundred K for Obama since the debacle, has already been formally absolved of any responsibility. The people who had $1.5 billion stolen from them? Little people don’t count. Too bad for them. Too bad for us too it looks like.

BHO knew what was in there and had no objection to Jerusalem, at least, for sure:
That was, and is, the administration’s position, unless a party platform overrides an administration’s stated policy.
My bet is he was fine with Godlessness too, until he wasn’t: He certainly had plenty of time and opportunity to object, but didn’t, until he had to.
When he saw the blowback, he knew they had to make a strategic retreat, quick-like.

not really on point, but revealing, I’ll find something to the point tommorrow:
– The All-About-Me Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa
At a minimum cost of $200,000 per wax statue, the team needed to be thorough and precise, especially since the mayor is all set to become one of 80 celebrities featured at the new Madame Tussaud’s, opening on Hollywood Boulevard next spring — further fulfillment of the fame Villaraigosa avidly pursues.
Holland says the wax-sculpting team not only makes an exact copy of its subject but “is also able to discern the character and personality of a person, which makes our creations so lifelike.”
It’s unknown what the team learned about Villaraigosa’s character or personality. But the fact that the mayor so eagerly posed for a tribute to himself offered some telling clues.
On the Red Carpet at the Oscars: Mayor Villaraigosa is Maniacal
You think the Establishment GOP at the RNC convention were bad and the DNC Establishment shows how to manipulate some votes!
The DNC Black “CINO”‘s (Christians In Name Only) told 0bama that the Black Churches would still “stand by their man” on the Homosexual (Gay Marriage) issue but they would flee him like a Zombie Walk’n over God being intentionally left out, then the DNC “JINO”‘s (Jew’s In Name Only) informed 0bama he would lose more of the NY vote if the big “J” wasn’t Israel Capitol.

No, it won’t end well, but it kicks the can down the road a ways, how far you never know until it’s just too late.
America’s strategic interest in the middle east now rests on the firm support and long term cooperation of the Muslim Brotherhood. It is also predicated on the belief that Iran is only kidding and will act sensibly any day now, as well as the deep admiration and respect held for America throughout the Muslim world.
Another example of the sensibility of this policy popped up in the news today:
BERLIN – A report in a state-controlled Iranian paper last week asserting that the “Zionist regime” “spreads homosexuality” across the globe in order to pursue its goal of world domination has sparked fierce criticism from experts on Iran because of its homophobia and anti- Semitism.
I am not sure how spreading homosexuality leads to world domination but it obviously makes perfect sense to Iranians.
I think it is a desecration that they put G-d back in the platform. That reference does not belong in such a morally bankrupt document.
Ya know, in that usefull guide to living your life so as to sleep peacefull at night,is the reminder that “he who blesses Israel, will be in turn blessed & he who curses Israel will be in turn cursed”….It is wise of Obama to seek shelter from possible thunder storms tonight, the way he mocks God, I would worry about lightning too…
OK, given that we are all sinners, needing forgiveness and that God promotes the return of the prodigal son, can God still be on the side that disses him? Or does God let them rot in the wilderness for 40 or so years until the they are expunged to the last man?
Just asking.

PS if the last is answered Yes, we had better get on our knees and ask for guidance!
stevesmith @ 25: “I believe the battles will continue to be fought at the ballot box, not by political armed conflict in the streets.”
The nice thing about living in ‘interesting times’ is that we will all get to see whose prediction turns out to be closest to the mark.
For what it is worth (absolutely nothing), my prediction is that — surprise! — economics is going to supplant politics, really shaking up the situation and creating a lot of strange bedfellows. Remember that the DNC and their faithful are the heart of the Political Class. These buffoons who can’t even organize a smooth handling of God & Jerusalem are the same people who have used laws & regulations to assert control over the productive economy. That’s why the economy is no longer productive enough; why we have an unsustainable trade deficit; an unpayable national debt; social security entitlements that can never be honored.
Regardless of who wins any election, we are rolling towards the point at which a straight line extrapolation of past trends no longer works. Will the intellectuals we see at the DNC be able to react appropriately to devastating Change? They might Hope so, but we know what the answer is. Dead men walking, every one.

I’d love to see that song done up like Adrian Utley during his [earlier] Portishead days.
It seems if Calloway’s vocals could be unhinged from the bass (good luck) the vocal track would lend itself pretty well to being slowed down to a more trip-hop friendly BPM. Or maybe -if the original timing didn’t drift around so much- sync a gravelly Access Virus type synth bass on top of the original…Wish I was better at EQing, or possessed the chops to Melodyne this into submission; and was maybe a bit less better at being too lazy to transcribe it to MIDI.
;^)
Anyway, this should be the 2012 DNC theme song.
I get the feeling the Democrats have a Doppelganger who’s undermining everything they do. Sometimes he sneaks into their own convention! Politics is now about finding that Doppelganger so they can tax or kill him — both, if possible.
When one considers all of the following:
-Dems are openly saying that the private sector and it’s denizens are owned property of government and government workers
-The Dem who holds the highest office in the land openly implies that government is the only reason people succeed, as has a high-profile candidate in a major senatorial battle
-The elite within the Dem party seek to remove even the possibility that God and religion are a factor in people’s lives, and airbrush God out of their policy like a “nonperson” in Orwell’s 1984
-The Dems have high ranking members who have said that devout Catholicism is something which disqualifies an individual for judicial appointment
-A major government agency (FAA) flagrantly violates the law and uses its authority to campaign for the Dems using fear of interrupted income stream
etc., ….
One really cannot completely rule out the possibility of rioting in the event of a Romney victory, or jackboots and camps in a year or so if Obama wins. Maybe not likely. But also not impossible.
Reread the history of the 20th century.
If the Democrats become ‘elected’, we might expect them to govern as the corrupt Antonio Villaraigosa has done with these three ‘votes’. How? In the style of one Joseph Stalin, whose ‘count’ of the votes was unimpeachable.
As we have witnessed for ourselves, in three attempts to get a 2/3 majority YES vote, the electorate failed to toe the party line of the moment. So Villaraigosa simply declared an Orwellian triumph for YES, and the convention went on about its robotic cheerleading.

But when a huge backlash began to form it was detected by his pollsters and the president did what he does so well: he becomes for something after he was against it. So he told his flunkeys in the DNC to change the wording. Not because he believes in either God or Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, but for political convenience.
He is a stupid man, because he could have used this kind of manipulative cynicism to bolster his economic standing. He could have allowed more widespread drilling and a whole bunch of his infamous “waivers” on onerous business regulations to boost the economy considerably. He could have explained his decisions in his usual neo-Orwellian manner, and then secretly reminded his most adamantly leftist supporters that he would have free rein in a second term. They would have applauded his diabolical “cleverness.” But he is, in the end, not only a stupid man in the grand scheme of things, but a weak one. A Bill Clinton — whose “economic policy” he feigns at wanting to “borrow” for his second term, would not have had any problem doing this. The Clinton crutch is also very telling of Obama’s weakness as an actual leader: that he is leaning so heavily on a man whom he despises (and who has a low opinion of him as well), shows how shallow, small and desperate he is.
But that leads to a question: this “weak, shallow” man may get re-elected. That speaks volumes about the dramatic demographic changes of the last 30 years. By “demography” I’m not referring to ethnicity or other traditional groupings, but to the fact that at least a plurality of today’s “Americans” are a people with a shallow moral compass and who lack personal discipline.
So now can the reporters ask the question, what is the capital of Israel? And if this is a change in published policy, how to explain the earlier lapse? Ha! Quite a pickle they have lied themselves into. Lying is much more taxing than telling the truth. When one seeks to deceive your enemies, your friends must be in on the ruse or they too will be confused.
Not a problem in any reasonable unwinding of events when in the end, the lie becomes clever and applauded. Not so during an election. A party platform built on lies. Do the secular Jews convince themselves that the power they cede to an all-powerful government remain forever in their favor? They must convince themselves that a government that is built on hatred and lies will always favor them, the enabler’s and protect them from the demons they themselves let loose.
Maybe they’re right, would good ever turn on evil until it is vanquished, or merely censored and rehabilitated? A beast with a million eyes can only be slain with a millions of pin pricks.

.223 vs .308 – Learn to shoot the .223 at long range. It is light, quick, and accurate. You can carry more .223 ammo in the same space than you can .308. Forget full auto! Burns up too much ammo. Most people don’t aim when shooting full auto. Wastes ammo. Bad mistake! Bad! There is no such thing as too much ammo. There is such a thing as not enough.
As an aside, has no one here recognized the symbolism of denying God three times?
This is off-topic, but I know we have a lot of Bob Dylan fans here. His new album, Tempest, is streaming for free on iTunes (and set to be released on 9/11, not coincidentally).

After a few spins through, I’d say it has the makings of another late career masterpiece, like Modern Times, though I’ll wait until the lyrics get posted and I can really dig into them before deciding if it rates with his best.
I’m glad I’m not waiting tables in Charlotte right now. I’ve been a waiter in towns with political conventions and also innaugurations for Dem and GOP parties. No contest on which side I’d picked based on the makeup of the hardcores. Ironically the GOP hardcore is the one made up of average Joes. The Dem hardcores are simply difficult, humorless people on the whole, and quite often strident and nasty. It’s like a convention of Ahabs. Plus, they don’t tip very well at all (the difference on this point is simply stunning, really stunning).
Earlier discussions about conjuring you know who into your midst, and then becoming shocked! when he decides to hang around, calls to mind a Carlyle quote:
“All the Millenniums I ever heard of heretofore were to be preceded by a “chaining of the Devil for a thousand years,” — laying him up, tied neck and heels, and put beyond stirring, as the preliminary. You too have been taking preliminary steps, with more and more ardour, for a thirty years back; but they seem to be all in the opposite direction: a cutting asunder of straps and ties, wherever you might find them; pretty indiscriminate of choice in the matter: a general repeal of old regulations, fetters, and restrictions (restrictions on the Devil originally, I believe, for most part, but now fallen slack and ineffectual), which had become unpleasant to many of you, — with loud shouting from the multitude, as strap after strap was cut, “Glory, glory, another strap is gone!”— this, I think, has mainly been the sublime legislative industry of Parliament since it became “Reform Parliament;” victoriously successful, and thought sublime and beneficent by some. So that now hardly any limb of the Devil has a thrum, or tatter of rope or leather left upon it: — there needs almost superhuman heroism in you to “whip” a Garotter; no Fenian taken with the reddest hand is to be meddled with, under penalties; hardly a murderer, never so detestable and hideous, but you find him “insane,” and board him at the public expense, a very peculiar British Prytaneum of these days! And in fact, THE DEVIL (he, verily, if you will consider the sense of words) is likewise become an Emancipated Gentleman; lithe of limb as in Adam and Eve’s time, and scarcely a toe or finger of him tied any more. And you, my astonishing friends, you are certainly getting into a millennium, such as never was before, — hardly even in the dreams of Bedlam.”
As for firearms, I have .308, .303, .223, 30 Carbine, 7.62X39, .22, and handguns in 3 different calibers, as well adapters to enable me to fire handgun ammo in some of the rifles (something y’all might consider acquiring – they don’t cost much).

(immediately followed by “I am not antisemitic, just antiZionist”)
To be fair, and as I’ve pointed out on other forums, there are people who actually are anti-Zionist without being anti-semitic. I know this because I personally met both of them in 1979.
In the inimitable words of Nancy Pelosi, “We’ll just have to pass [the platform] to find out what’s in it.” Ooops!
We complain about the way Barack Obama treats his political enemies…now we have a view of how he will treat those Democrats who support him when it seems “appropriate” to his agenda. That especially black folk can’t see this? They are workin’ on his plantation.
I always wondered why people consciously and incomprehensibly chose the Devil to replace God, knowing full well that he is the “Father of Lies.” Somehow it all works out in the end for them. No pun intended.

CMP is running out of cheap Garands. I’d love to own one. I was amused the other day to hear some scandalized moonbat complain that a government agency was actually selling firearms to the public (the moonbat had just learned about the CMP). The CMP has been doing this since 1916.
Different topic: Chris Matthews informs us that “If Obama beats the Right-Wing, they’re finished”, refer to:
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2012/09/06/chris_matthews_if_obama_beats_the_right-wing_theyre_finished.html
Chris Matthews normally has trouble being factual but he maybe right this time. Given that the “right wing” is part of the United States and Obama will probably finish the US if he is reelected then it follows that the right wing will also be finished.
One thing I hate about the democrats is how they distort the past all of the time. Take Clinton. People actually love this guy, but I remember how he sold our national security down the toilet. He makes me sick to my stomach.
“In February 1996 – just one month after defense mega-contractor Lockheed Martin announced their purchase of Loral Space and Communications – a Chinese rocket carrying a Loral satellite exploded seconds after liftoff, raining fire and debris onto a nearby village and killing 200 people. After the crash, Loral faxed missile technology to China that the Pentagon said damaged U.S. national security and improved China’s missile system.
At the same time, Chinese spies were infiltrating U.S. weapons labs and stealing design information on seven nuclear warheads, enough information needed to launch a nuclear attack. (Senior members of the Clinton Administration — including the Energy Secretary, Chief of Staff, CIA chief, and National Security Advisor — knew the extent of the espionage since at least 1995.)
Despite all this, President Bill Clinton approved another launch of a Loral satellite on a Chinese rocket in February 1998, and the Justice Department investigated whether the approval was in return for generous political contributions from Loral’s CEO, Bernard Schwartz. Schwartz was one of the Democrats’ largest contributors at the time, moving $1.5 million into Democratic coffers in 1996 alone, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.”
Sooo… they jammed through the amendment, deemed it to have passed. Did any of the delegates publicly protest this by, say, walking out of the convention? No? Silence is assent.
Of course, those who were against the amendment favor this kind of raw tactic themselves and are committed partisans. Those who supported this amendment got what they wanted… and are also committed partisans. Thus can the Dem Party do whatever it wants. The rank and file just goes along with it, no matter what.
Roger Price’s version (1955 or so): You can’t fool all the people all of the time, but if you can do it just once, it lasts for four years.

Terrific call programmr…I think I was still waiting for the cock to crow – you know after all the barnyard strutting that will be on display after the Cock-of-the-Walk’s speech this evening.
In the Book of John – at the very end:
“So when they had finished breakfast, Jesus said* to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?”
Peter said* to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”
Jesus said* to him, “Tend My lambs.”
Jesus said* to him again a SECOND time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?”
Peter said* to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”
Jesus said* to him, “Shepherd My sheep.”
Jesus said* to him the THIRD time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?”
Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.”
Jesus said* to him, “Tend My sheep.
“Truly, truly, I say to you [Peter], when you were younger, you used to gird yourself and walk wherever you wished; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will gird you, and bring you where you do not wish to go.”
Now this He said, signifying by what kind of death he [Peter] would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said* to him, “Follow Me!”
Peter, turning around, saw* the disciple whom Jesus loved following them.
So Peter seeing him said* to Jesus, “Lord, and what about this man?”
Jesus said* to him, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me!”
I think Peter finally got the point – one “I love you” for each of his “I don’t know you” protestations. But Peter was Peter and not so nearly narcicisstic and unbending as Barack. By this time in Jesus’ Ministry, Peter was much more humble in most things.
Here is the song that everyone – not just people of color – ought to heed today…

At 200 meters you have a .22. Not enough energy there to hurt anybody. The .223 depends on velocity to make it’s power. The lite bullets don’t hold their energy well.
I’m an old guy. No aggression left. For me self defence means self defence. I’m not going after anybody, I’m waiting for them to come after me. If they don’t, good. You can deal with them.
The .223 makes sense in most military situations, range limitations are not important when you also have LMG’s, snipers, indirect fire support and CAS. The occasional MBT doesn’t hurt either. I’m not military. I don’t have worry about logistics, which are done by the ton. More .223′s in a ton then .308′s.
.223′s deflect off anything at 200 meters. Try this; put a paper plate in the bushes where you can still see it, then back off 200 meters and see how many holes you can put in that plate with 5 shots from your .223.
I have a brother who is a former Marine sniper. One of his favorite tricks is wedging a quarter between the bark and the head of a nail driven into a tree then backing off 100 meters or so and ‘coring the quarter and turning it into a doughnut with his .223. I can’t even see the quarter but he has like 20/10 vision, he is getting old though and sometimes it takes him 2 shots. At 100 meters a .223 slug doesn’t enter fully into the tree. You can see the butt of the round. My .308 will shove aside that leaf or twig and hole the paper plate EVERY time. Your .223 will do it sometimes.
A lot depends on size. As a Yoot (mid to late 20′s) I would shoot my M-60 from the shoulder. I had pretty good trigger control and at 6′ 3″ and 230 pounds could handle the recoil. Little guys are better off with the .223. If they are in bushes, wait, they won’t stay there forever. If they do, they won’t be bothering you. If you are strong enough to handle the recoil and don’t have to worry about carrying enough ammo for an extended firefights, then the .308 is a better round for guerrillas. Hit and run needs the knock down power of a .308. You won’t be able to outrun ANY round, so you better put your target down before you go a scampering away. Then there is body armor.
True to form, one of the Dem delegates has confessed a desire to kill Mitt Romney. She’s a little old lady with a funny hat, too. But these vile people aren’t like your little old ladies of yore. Remember when the Dems invited the Boy Scouts of America to send a color guard in for flag duty, then ambushed them? The boys were up there trying to do the ceremony and lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to a raucous chorus of boos, jeers and taunts. What hosts could offend decency, decorum, and civil society with such antics but the Dem hardcore?
Their enemies list: God, the Boy Scouts, the Jews, traditional values, captialism, The Corporations, and so on until the list includes all but Big Government Everywhere.
The greatest argument against electing any Democrat president are these people. They’re the ones who’ll gain power and opportunity, as they insinuate themselves into our institutions riding up the coattails on their long march.
Are there any conservative BC regulars who are adept in video animation and who might be interested in collaborating on an Anti-Obama video. The aim is to post it on YouTube and hopefully go viral. It is based on Alinsky’s rules 5 & 6.
Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.
Rule 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. “If your people aren’t having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.”
I certainly have been enjoying it so far.
Speaking of the Boy Scout color guard debacle, it will be interesting to see what happens to Cardinal Dolan when he gives the closing prayer for this lot who’ve thrice denied God and spent all of Tuesday’s prime time promoting abortion. Dolan accepted the invitation to do the same thing at the GOP convention and promised at the time to accept an invitation to the Dem convention should they tender it. This put the Dems in a pickle. What’s the optics? At first they announced there would be no invitation, and this didn’t settle, so then they sent him one.
Are the jackals on the floor going to behave themselves this time, unlike what happened with the BSA? The gracious thing would be to politely receive the cardinal. We shall see if they have a gracious bone in their bodies. Odds are they do not. No evidence of one so far.
25 stevesmith “If the left loses of course they won’t accept it but they won’t rise up in arms because they know they would lose that kind of battle.”
But because they’ve been so thoroughly corrupted by Envy, as Wretchard has pointed out, they’ll use Envy’s weapons against their enemies. They’ll set about to spoil everything. “If I can’t have it, then nobody can,” is Envy’s motto. They’ve already gotten away with this for so long that nobody even thinks of reproaching them for it, let alone stopping them. Wouldn’t want to be accused of being a crybaby, right? So when Democrats start stealthily and not-so-stealthily making overtures to Al Qaeda or Hezbollah, or Hugo Chavez or any of dozens of outright enemies of America, the Right will murmur to itself, “Dignity…always dignity!” and refuse to issue the arrest warrants for the smirking traitors on the Left. It’ll be Bush II Redux, only 20 times more toxic, and I don’t think America will really ever recover.
74. Dr. Mabuse:
The Left has won the culture war and the battle of the narrative. They’ve won and we’ve lost.
I don’t mean to say that we (all who are not the Left) should give up. We have to start another war, and a long and protracted one at that.
If the GOP wins the Presidency and the Senate they will make the same mistake they always do in such circumstances by thinking that they control all the levers. They do not. The Left runs everything else. They have the means to spoil everything.

Isn’t the M1 Garande chambered for 30-06? Won’t you have to get another batch of rounds?
I went to Academy Sports tonight. I said to the sales clerk that the 30-06 is a really big round. Then the guy showed me a .338 Laplua and a .50 BMG round and sent me squealing out the front door.
“He won’t be back,” I heard him say as I beat a hasty retreat. I think he may have confused “Caliber fear” with an advanced prostrate condition.
As Arnold might say, “I’ll be back.” Only problem with the bigger the round, the greater the need for one’s own personal Brinks’ truck. And an ice pack for your shoulder.
Well good to see we have another thread about the election. I posted a comment about McCain FAIL and the GOP primary rigging (which gave us Rick Santorum’s win in Iowa that White House Insider confirmed was the outcome the Obamanoids were rooting for)/suppressing delegates for candidates other than Romney a few threads back.
I noted that this was going on at the RNC despite Romney having plenty of delegates and not having any more objective claim to a vote cast in Louisiana for Santorum or Cain than Ron Paul if it’s solely a question of popular vote equaling delegates. But lo and behold, I get in return a rant about how the ‘Paulbots’ are objectively pro-Kremlin or somesuch. Figures.
The argumento ad Lubyanka sure is popular with certain commenters here even when I don’t bring up Russia at all. But at least Subotai isn’t mouthing the ‘let’s infiltrate the Right’ Cointelpro/BigSis talking points, whether consciously or unconsciously. Because if you want to call me a Lubyanka plant if I see you endorsing NDAA or ignoring the civil liberties stuff I’m going to ask whether you’re clearing checks from BigSis contractors to troll here, and throw it right back at you. Cass Sunstein’s boys have been busy getting mainline Republicans to say domestically using drones and beating Paul supporters over the head or tossing them in asylums for a few Facebook posts is a-ok. And that if you’ve ever even so much have appeared on foreign TV regardless of how many non-Russian, non-Iranian networks you go on that makes you a Kremlin plant. And so on and so forth.

And handles, schmandles. I write what gets thru the PJM (not our hosts) filters. I am a real person and an American, so the starey perduniks who want an eternal cold war between Oceania and Eurasia/Eastasia and rationalize Alinsky tactics so long as they’re allegedly against Putin and not Orthodoxy Christianity can kiss my rear.
And while we’re on the subject of being ‘objectively’ for some foreign power, are Belmont Clubbers sure John McCain and Lindsey Graham aren’t expecting some fat retirement speaking engagements from Saudi Arabia and Qatar? After all they’re big advocates of arming the ‘Free Syrian Army’ whose core is formed by the same Muslim Brotherhood that’s taken over Egypt. So the irony is the people who claim to be Israel’s bestest friends in the whole world want to arm jihadis who will soon team up with their brothers in Egypt to present Israel with a 1973 scenario all over again. And then the McCains and Grahams of D.C. will no doubt tell us we have to intervene and bomb Egypt and Syria to prevent a Muslim Brotherhood governments from attacking Israel. At least Papa and Baby Assad have kept the Golan Heights the quietest border for Israel in the past generation. Meanwhile Russia quietly buys drones from Israel and the Obama Administration is forced to leak that ‘Israel has bought an aircraft carrier called Azerbaijan’ to scuttle the IAF refueling their en route to Iran. Care to guess which country controls Azeri air space? Shhh….don’t tell Romney’s old fart advisors, it’s the same one keeping our troops still supplied in Afghanistan.
And a second item on being ‘objectively bla bla bla’ and whether hardcore Republicans can object to American foreign policy out of patriotism: let me tell Stoch a story. I grew up in a very red state that was once very blue, in the reddest county of that state. I knew a Republican Party precinct chairman who started out in the early Sixties when LBJ was running with Kennedy. Somehow the topic of Afghanistan came up once. This precinct chairman who is now in his late seventies volunteered to me that he gave his then teenage son five hundred dollars and told him he’d buy him a ticket to Canada because he did not believe America’s elites wanted to win the war in Southeast Asia and that it was worth his son’s life. I dare you to call him objectively pro-Ho Chih Minh.
Another quarter for the ‘ol DNC jukebox?

MOUT = Military Operations in Urban Terrain
MOUT was invented by the Bureau of Acronyms & Abbreviations, Headquarters Uniformed Military Brigades Uniting Governments.
It is staffed according to the TOE by 7 flag officers, 9 senior/field grade officers, 12 junior officers, 47 junior enlisted, 1 Master Chief Petty Officer, 1 Petty Officer First Class, and 1 civilian Clerk Typist named Shirley of indeterminate gender who does all the work.

I first encountered it a number of years ago when I acquired a couple of shelf-loads of the Department of the Army’s publications. There is a rather thick, illustrated Field Manual in a binder on the subject. Funny thing, recent events seem to make it relevant again; albeit with the DHS putting their two cents in.

There are rumors extant that I am not a nice person. I do, however, attempt to be accommodating. Being crucified may be appropriate to cover the “3-times denial”; however given the fact that the same vote was also an attack on Jews and the Israeli capitol, let us compromise and replace the cross with a star of David. If it is mounted on center pivot, they can try to spin what they have done to their hearts content.
